  1. It was the Beetleborgs with the haunted house.

Also, isn't the point of Den-O to be ******* crazy?
  2. The Lone Hero

    Magical Girl SG?

I'd like to take the Knight of Mercury, seems like he'll be the more interesting one. Not sure what to do with him exactly though, will work on his background for now.
  3. Personally, if it wasn't for those who like to give art for free then I wouldn't have any way to obtain it unless they accept ingame currency.

    Magical Girl SG?

Well...it seems I was misunderstood WHY I brought up Tokusatsu.

I noticed a lot of similarities between the Tokusatsu Genre and the Magical Girl Genre, which lead me to watching a view animes and eventually my interest in your SG idea. I wasn't asking to use a Kamen Rider in the SG as I already have an SG I lead personally for that sort of thing.

The type of character I was thinking of using was someone like Tuxedo Mask. A mysterious masked man who aids the team of girls but not even they know his true identity or why he does it, at least not at first.

Also, there are a few Magic themed Tokusatsu characters. Most recent I can think of is the Mahou Sentai Magiranger team and the Kamen Riders from the Kamen Rider Hibiki series, but that's going off topic a bit.

    Magical Girl SG?

Just like if you looked at the term Magical Girl it says it's only Anime and Manga, but there are Magical Girl Live Action shows as well.

Well known Tokusatsu series have had featured cartoons, manga and animes, there are even Tokusatsu animes and manga not connected to well established Tokusatsu series. Tokusatsu heroes are even often parodied in Anime and Manga. A well known Tokusatsu TV series, Kamen Rider, was based off the manga Skullman. Like Magical Girl shows, Tokusatsu isn't limited to strictly one type of show and can be live action, manga or anime.

    On a side note:
I'm torn between Sun, Mercury or Mars.

    Magical Girl SG?

You don't see a connection between the Tokusatsu Genre and the Magical Girl Genre?

The main thing that makes a Tokusatsu TV Show is transforming heroes. Magical Girls are normal girls who transform into heroes.

Allow me to show ya what I mean:
    Magical Girl Sequence:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsX0VHMw_Z8

    Tokusatsu Sequence:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZusMKWo_8Y

Transforming Heroes is one of four things I look at when determining if a show is Tokusatsu or Not. The others are:
New 'bad guy' to fight every episode (except two or more parters) and an evil organization that sends them after the good guys.

Large robots and/or monsters doing battle.

Usage of what could be considered too much special effects. Tokusatsu is Japanese for Special Effects after all.

Magical Girl Animes tend to have two of the four (Episodic Badguy and Evil Organization. Transforming Heroes). The exception to this is the live action Sailor Moon series, which at a high usage of special affects as well. If a show or genre has two or more of the four things I look for, then I consider it Tokusatsu.
  8. The Lone Hero

    Magical Girl SG?

Seeing as how this is based off an anime genre I've seen a bit up, AND I'm a tokusatsu nut and the fact Magical Girl is a genre that falls under that...

Any room for a mysterious male hero who sometimes shows up to help the girls? Someone like Tuxedo Mask? From what I've seen of Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew and Magical Knight Rayearth, the girls often have a male hero aiding them.

And there is totally nothing wrong with me watching those animes. >_> They're Tokusatsu and I love Tokusatsu.

    Avengers Teaser

Three things that has me a bit disappointed:
    1. No Antman
    2. No Wasp
    3. No Scarlet Witch

I'm pretty sure Antman and Wasp were part of the founding members along with Thor, Ironman and Hulk. They both came before Captain America even, who didn't join until Issue 4 of the original 1960s comics.
  10. Yeah, I'm going to say that I got a few nice 'welcome back to CoH' gifts. ^_^

Right now I'm trying to find my old sprite sheets and stuff so I can offer free 8-Bitified versions of people's characters.
  11. Most of the time the rangers are part of massive organizations or members of an ancient order that already had the zords.

Examples: SPD, Light Speed Rescue, RPM and Time Force.

It's fairly rare that the Rangers built the Zord's themselves.

Although, Antonio (current Gold Ranger) managed to repair a Zord (the Claw Zord) and even build his own morpher. :O
  12. I'm not allowed to openly offer compensation on the forums, I tried that on one thread and a mod took it down and warned me. I don't have any real income at the moment either, currently my grandma is paying my subscription for a few months until I find a new job, got fired from my old one because I accidentally dropped a heavy box of goods on my boss's foot. >_> I warned him that I couldn't lift anything heavy cause of my bad shoulder but he didn't listen.

I'm uploading them all to the SG's website's photo album for later use Thirty-Seven. ^_^

If you have anyone on Virtue who'd like to join I'll be happy to accept them Thirty-Seven, same goes out to Hyper as well. You both seem like awesome people.
  13. Right, I'll start uploading the images to my own account. ^_^
  14. Dude yes! That is sooooo gonna be my wallpaper!

  15. The Tokusatsu Hero Force is a roleplaying supergroup fitting the theme of the tokusatsu genre of Japanese television. Characters similar to the Kamen Riders, Power Rangers, Super Sentai and even Sailor Moon/Magical Girl anime types are all welcomed within this SG. We just recently reformed after I've been gone for a year and I'm hoping an old member will be willing to rejoin. Thanks to a member of the forums, Thirty-Seven, we even got a shiny new logo. Soon we'll have some AE Story/Roleplaying missions featuring NPC members of the Hero Force and I plan on running events once a month or so. So if your interested, send me a tell in-game. Rider 00 has been reborn as Rider Beta!

    WEBSITE: Tokusatsuheroforce.webs.com

    RULES:
There are only three rules you need to know, any others are on the website.

    1. Do not directly copy a name or costume from a tokusatsu show.
EXAMPLE: Instead of using Kamen Rider as a name, please use Rider.

    2. Remain in SG mode whenever possible.

    3. When in SG mode you MUST have the emblem shown.

    EMBLEM AND COLORS:

As for SG colors, you don't have to use them. Their only purpose is for our banners and other items in the Base that show the SG's colors and emblem. The reason you don't have to use the SG's colors is because in the tokusatsu genre, teams almost NEVER share the same color scheme, although often they'll have the same theme to their costumes.

    RANKS:
    Leader - Rider Beta (ME)
    Squad Xtreme -
    Squad Alpha -
    Squad Beta -
    Squad Delta -
    Trainees -

    -Explaination about Ranks-
Leader - The leader of the supergroup...this one is kinda obvious. >_>

Squad Xtreme - The most trusted and brave members of the Supergroup. They are the most skilled and all members serve as commanders for the other squads. Squad Xtreme will only have four members at any given time. One to handle Alpha, one to handle Beta, one to handle Delta and one in charge of training the Trainees.

Squad Alpha - Alpha squad is given tasks that involve a more direct approach, and maybe a lot of explosions.

Squad Beta - Beta squad is given tasks that require finesse and team work. While Alpha squad is the brawn of the Hero Force, Beta is the brains.

Squad Delta - Delta squad is the support squad. It's made up of healers, buffers and other members who can give support to the other squads, increasing their potential.

Trainee - Trainees have just joined the Tokusatsu Hero Force and must complete a few training missions before being assigned to a squad

  17. First! I like Thirty-Seven's best (the one without the background) for the Heading and Logo for the website.

Hoever, I like the backdrop itself and will be using that for the background of the website. ^_^

    Now, here's the fun part.

I also like the logo with the backdrop, however I got a special request for that.

Using multiples of the backdrop and putting the logo dead center, I believe that Hyperstrike will be able to make an official Tokusatsu Hero Force Wallpaper. ^_^

I'd like it to be available in four resolutions:
    800 x 600
    1024 x 768
    1152 x 864
    1280 x 768

Now the next one I made I really like. Though, I gotta say, neither really quite gets the right feel without any of the Japanese characters on them. Hopefully you like this one.
Also, let me know if you want a larger image, or even the 'raw' PSD file before I merged layers and PNG-erized it.
    I found this:
    特撮

It's Tokusatsu in Japanese. Is it possible to replace the word Tokusatsu with what I found in the logo? It might give it that Japanese feel that the one you shared lacked.

Besides that, I have no issue with the logo and I like it a lot. ^_^

  19. And we don't really have any set color scheme because of the genre the SG represents, Tokusatsu. It's shows like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Power Rangers and even Sailor Moon. XD
  20. With my return to City of Heroes, I am going to attempt to revive the Tokusatsu Hero Force. I was wondering if someone would be willing to make a heading logo for the website: http://tokusatsuheroforce.webs.com/

I'd like it to be something similar to the logos bellow, except in English....although if you could get it in Japanese with English translation on the bottom like the titles do, I will love you forever.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers actually combined footage from THREE different series of Super Sentai.

Zyuranger - The original five's outfits and Tommy as the Green Ranger plus their zords at the time.

Dairanger - The team gets new zords called the Thunder Zords, Tommy is brought back as the White Ranger.

Kakuranger - The Alien Ranger Saga at the end of Mighty Morphin

Well, Samurai is pretty plain for a Power Ranger's title, since the end of Turbo we havn't had any single word titles as far as I can remember, even RPM and SPD was short for something. So it does lack a bit of flair I suppose.

The fake Skull as in Spike? If so, he's actually the SON of Skull. Although I am sad we'll never see a 'Mr. Brown' in the series, like they had on Shinkenger, because in an odd way Bulk and Spike fill that role.
  22. I've done this mission recently so I can name the glitch. ^_^

In the mission, it has you playing a CIVILIAN. The Video Camera reticle is suppose to represent your hero watching the civilian, through a camera planted in her shirt, to make sure nothing happens. During this time, your hero' powers aren't suppose to work since your not even your hero in disguise, just a civilian your hero is keeping an eye on.

The glitch is that while you're controlling the reporter, you shouldn't be able to have any powers activated/toggled and yet the Hover Board somehow avoided the auto toggle off that the mission normally does to a hero's powers.

EDIT: Photon beat me to it. XD
  23. Thanks, but the reason I made this thread is because I'd like to keep my stuff together so I was thinking about just using this thread if I have a new character I'd like to seen drawn. Thanks for the help though. ^_^
