Indeed. Because if self-preservation is kicking in, then desperation is nigh. And desperation is quite good for making people trip over themselves and generally come across as dismissable babbling monkeys. A sound tactic.

I must've missed that. For some reason I just recall it cutting away leaving me to guess what the final outcome was.

I'm still not convinced. And if it *is* a Ganger, it's been one since the end of the Ganger episode and that was the real Doctor left behind.

This episode was a bit fun, though it seems a strange episode before a non-2-part-finale. I must admit I was expecting the Doctor to fail and for Craig to die.

The 25th anniversary show, The Five Doctors, fleshed out the back story of Rassilon a bit.

I never saw the others, but these sound canonical to me.
"The Two Doctors" (Colin Baker/Patrick Troughton) was also a canonical episode.

And both "The Five Doctors" and "The Three Doctors" would likely be in my top ten favourite Doctor Who episodes.

My dislike of losing powers isn't about it being too hard, it's about disliking losing powers. If I were exemped down to level -1 with nothing but Brawl to face enemies that couldn't hurt me and which died in one attack I would still be ticked off about losing access to my powers. Difficulty has nothing to do with it.

The only reason I was interested in it was the convenience of streaming it to my TV. The "entire library" thing came up moot, since everything I wanted to watch was available via the free service. And there were some severe quality issues I ran into with some shows via said streaming that made them unwatchable, too. The commercials just made me feel like I would be paying them multiple times on top of the subscription. I much prefer Netflix streaming for streaming to my TV. If there's an anime I absolutely have to see which Netflix doesn't have, I'll check Crunchyroll or Hulu's free service on my PC (in that order).

I HAD TO BUY GR TO USE INCARNATES, THERE FOR I HAD TO BUY INCARNATES,NOT SUBSCRIBE TO ACCESS THEM, BUY THEM.

So simple some people just don't get it.
I get it. Back when I got into this game, I had to buy City of Heroes to access the game. So, since being able to access the game is clearly a requirement for accessing Incarnates, the act of buying City of Heroes should give me access to Incarnates as a Premium player. It doesn't matter that people can now access City of Heroes without purchasing it, or that Incarnates weren't technically a part of that basic game purchase I made.

Weird human is about to shoot chibi knight thing with magic juju rays from his mystic crocodile skull. A pile of strange animals looks on, alarmed, but chibi knight thing is safe behind its powerful shield.

I get the sense that the "complete story" is actually a story with a lot of blanks that need to be filled in with prior contextual knowledge.

Yeah, not much of anything, really.

How do you know they're not horns that just happen to have a horse-like beast under them? Indeed, sometimes they might even get bored with sitting on horse-like beasts and might decide to go visit a whale's face for a change.
  12. Chalk me up as yet another doing a SR/KM speedster. I was trying to stave off making a SR until Street Justice was available, but I couldn't help myself.
  13. I'm hoping that this is something they're already intending to do over time.

Ditto. I was annoyed when I realised I had to take my Crab back across to redside in order to get the PPs and associated pets I needed. I've been using my Bane build to stealth through Tips, and I'll do the same as much as possible with the PP missions. I might even auto-complete them where possible and log out of that character for three days to rinse and repeat. I don't like redside or the PP missions.
  15. If she's learned that she needs to interact with people here, you could put one of those vet pets to use and say she's modified a Clockwork to act as a human interface agent of sorts. Kind of like a mute Booster Gold letting Skeets do all the talking.

Because I say that repeatedly as well, I'm not sure you've actually read my entire post either.
As I understand it, you're not saying that the game has necessarily been mismanaged but simply that there's an inherent flaw in giving one team creative leeway (the one in charge of story/canon) where you would restrict another (the one in charge of powersets). Whether or not this flaw has become a problem in the game is beyond the scope of your statement. But I may have misunderstood.

  18. I had not heard of this series until now. Will have to check it out when I get the chance.

  20. I concur. Heck, I'd even pay for the option of having them unlocked without needing to do the missions - in the same vein as purchasing access to capes and auras.
  21. I'd love to see the LFG feature get more use (and I'd love to see it work with more consistency, as well).

I would say that MMOs are necessarily prone to anthology story-telling within a relatively persistent (and not necessarily consistent) setting. Much like Conan, Elric, or Lovecraftian anthologies.
