It's not the kid's training. It is the character himself. He is just unlikeable in that Anakin Skywalker way. The TV show about the Young Indiana might not have been that great but all three of the actors (kid, young adult, old man) that played the part had a ceratin spark to them. Maybe if they replaced Shia with someone who could make the part work it might be a success.

For all the griping that we do about Lucas and how we think he has wrecked Star Wars, many of us are also protesting too much. The instant a new Star Wars film is scheduled for the theatres, is the instant the vast majority of the fans will rush to get tickets despite any misgivings they may have or ill feelings about things they didn't like about the prequels.

Great episode and season so far. Really likeing the fact that they are focusinbg on the other characaters. Gonna suck having to wait another month for the finale and then most likely another year before the next season starts.

I kinda like the category idea - but we also may need a "Misc" category (for things like myths & legends - unless those all go under books, but then I won't be able to use both a myth/legend/folk tale/fairy tale pick except by losing my "awesome" book pick.)
So setting up 4 categories might be too limiting. -

edit--Do the standard 4 picks but separate it according to genre (book, tv, movie, games). It helps narrow down what you need to select and we can easily find 16 of each. -

Also wanna throw out the Scarlet Empress from The Exalted line of RPGs. The lady has her huge (and I mean huge) family at each other throats to further aims and is not above causally tossing them aside or (literally) sacrificing them (to the old gods) to power her empire.
