Hey everyone! The Taxibots are holding a badge tour in Faultline tonight (Friday). In fact, we're all there right now! We'll probably be around until 11:00pm or so, so if you want to collect those eight exploration badges, all in around a minute or so, with us telling you a little about each one, do drop on by! Just come to the zone and yell out, "I'd like a badge tour, please!"
-
Ooh, I'll come! That is, if there's room, I don't want to take up anyone else's slot, but I've done this before, and I might be able to help out. But like I said, if someone else wants to go in my place, that's fine, but if you need the extra Taxi, I'll try to help out as much as I can! Either team is fine, just whoever needs a Belle tagging along!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say thank you to all of the heroes who came out tonight and took our tour! It was a lot of fun, and I hope you all found it enjoyable and informative!
Special congratulations to our three new Cabbies: Lightspeed Taxibot, TaxibotTheCat, and Taxibot DM. If you see them around, be sure to say hi! They've proven that they can handle the demands of a badge tour like a pro, and thus achieving a veteran Taxi status, yay! Also, thanks a ton to Taxibot SPC Francine, one of our best Charters, who led the tour tonight, training some of the Taxis, assigning our posts, answering questions, and making sure everything ran smoothly. You're valuable beyond words to our family, and I appreciate how willing and able you are to step up and lead events like this so much!
Thanks so much to the heroes for all of their kind words, that really does mean a lot to us. I've said before that sometimes people ask me why we do what we do without getting paid, but when everyone is so nice like they were tonight, I can't help but think, "What do you mean we don't get paid?" Hee hee, that's worth more influence than I could ever have!
I also wanted to say thanks to Revisero, who was skeptical. I told him that he should try a tour, that he might think it's fun, and that sometimes even heroes who have the exploration badges come because they like the ride and how we tell a little bit about each badge. He took me up on the offer and accepted a tour! I don't know if we convinced him or not, but I really do appreciate that he was willing to give it a go and judge for himself!
Anyway, thanks again for a fun time, I think you all are just the best, I love my Taxi family oodles, and I can't wait until we do it again! Oh, and because I get asked sometimes, here's our calendar of when we do stuff!
Oh, and P.S., thank you Johnny for posting messages here and keeping the hero community informed of what we're up to. You're just the best! -

And whenever I come back to Infinity, I keep an eye out for Taxibot Belle on broadcast wherever I'm at. Badge/history tours, trivia contests, normal taxi services, whatever it may be. She is the single sweetest/most helpful/most vibrant person/character/avatar I've met in all of my travels across the servers. I've had the privilege of running several of Johnny's Saturday TF's with her, and not only is her breadth of knowledge about CoX extensive, she is a more than competent player, and brings an energetic optimism to even the most dire situations. If there were a Taxibot Belle for Mayor campaign, you can bet I'd sign up to canvas the city

Oh my gosh! Now I'm going to cry! What an amazing and sweet thing to say, especially about me! I just can't think of another time when I've wanted to reach out and hug someone so much!
I adore all of my heroes. Just tonight, I met a new hero who was trying to find out how to earn his cape, so I introduced him to the City Representative. He was so sweet, thanking me and telling me how nice I was. We're now friends, and I told him to be sure to let me know if he has any more questions.
I never cease to be amazed at how gracious and kind the heroes can be. I've had several contests over the years, and in every one, there are always at least a few heroes who tell me when they win a prize, "It's okay, I have plenty, just give it to the next person who gets a question right." Can you imagine that? Volunteering to give up your prize so that someone else who can use it more can have it! And then there are nights like tonight when the Taxis needed help in an alternate dimension of Atlas Park against some villains, and we had two full teams of heroes in no time!
I love my job so much. If I weren't a Taxi, I just don't know what I'd do. (Actually, I'm hoping that someday maybe I can take Ms. Liberty's place if she ever decides to retire! Can you imagine? I'd get to meet so many new heroes every day, and I LOVE <3 <3 <3 meeting new heroes! I probably wouldn't make a good mayor, though, but I sure do appreciate the offer in case I decide to run someday!) You know what my favorite part is? I mean, other than meeting so many new heroes? When a hero who is really high in security level comes up to me and says, "Hey, I remember you, we met my first week of being a hero. You really helped me out, and years later, I still remember that!" I just get all gooey inside.
Anyway, Tony asked me to look at this thread, and I'm so glad I did. You and he and the others who replied just made my night, probably my week, and maybe even my whole month! You know what's funny? People sometimes ask me, "Why do you do what you do without getting paid?" My answer is always the same. "What do you mean? Just because I'm not earning influence doesn't mean that I'm not getting paid!" Every time I see a message like yours, that means more to me than all the influence in the world.
Thank you so much! -
Hi Isis! I just wanted to say a huge thanks for having this event, it was a lot of fun! I'm not very good at matches in the Arena, but this was great because I could just watch my gladiators battle it out instead. I even won a few matches, yay! I think everyone had a really good time, and I really appreciate the work and coordination you put into this event. Oh, and congratulations to the winners, of course!

Wow, Neos, that's really generous! I'll bet that heroes just arriving in Paragon City especially appreciate it! Keep up the great work!

Oh, you can edit the bin permissions whether you're in base editing mode or not. To do it while in base editing mode, just pick the bin, then in the info window, click on the permissions tab. To do it when not in base editing mode, just open the bin, and there's a button to edit the permissions at the top.
And I can definitely edit the permissions, being a Dispatcher. I was just hoping that our Charters could too, or at the very least that I could set some kind of default permissions, since our architect really needs to be able to move stuff around, and by default, she couldn't add or remove anything from the bin.
That's okay, though, if we can't do it, we'll just figure out some way.
Thanks, everyone! -
Hey everyone! I have a question. One of our ranks is designated to be our base architect. Taxis with that rank should be able to edit the permissions of our storage bins. In our permissions, the rank has the ability to modify the base, but apparently, that doesn't give them the permission to modify the permissions.
Does anyone know what permission does that? Right now, when our base architect create a storage bin, the default permissions doesn't even let the architect put stuff in or take stuff out of them.
Thanks! -
Hey all! We Taxibots are conducting badge tours of The Hollows tonight. If you want the exploration badges in the zone, come on by and shout out that you want the tour, and we'll get you started and tell you a little about each one! It's fast, fun, and of course, completely free!
We'll probably go for another 30 minutes to hour, so stop on by! Even if you have the badges, be sure to pop in and say hi. Some heroes who have the badges even take the tour because they think it's fun. *^_^* -

Status Reports
Star Strider Force
Name: Taxibot Belle
Global Contact: @Taxibot Belle
Reporting on Assignment: Infinity Civilian Evacuation
Star Strider Force Unit: Paragon Taxi Service Infinity
Time/Date Location: 2008 November 19, 0100 UTC
Level of Alien Threat [low]
Report Details:
The heroes of Infinity bravely fended off the Rikti attack in Talos Island as expected, preventing any large-scale civilian casualties. However, the diligent efforts of the Taxibots in removing civilians from harm's way proved extraordinarily effective.
While Paragon Taxi Service members Borg, Midori, Phantom, Polly, Josephine, Morning Star, and Chelle assisted heroes in defending the city, Taxibots Belle and Johnny worked on their Star Strider mission to ensure that the civilian population was teleported to transportation where they could escape the city.
Further details can be found at the website of the Infinity Paragon Taxi Service.
Analysis of Current Situation:
By and large, the civilian evacuation was effective. Minor injuries were reported by approximately 12 civilians who were enjoying lunch at the site of the main Rikti incursion. Several buildings in the are were damaged by the bombing runs conducted by the Rikti drop ships, but the new building code design for buildings to withstand such attacks is working well.
Seven heroes were defeated during the Talos Island incursion. These heroes were assisted by Taxibots on the scene and have since reported in as well-rested and ready to defend the city during the next incursion.
Suggestion of Action:
During the invasion, many citizens were confused as to how to reach out for help. The new SOS emergency number (7-6-7) used to request evacuation needs to be publicized more. Also, once a teleportation request is made, it needs to be emphasized to civilians that they need to remain calm, and most importantly, still. Although Taxis are well capable of teleporting moving targets, this causes unnecessary delays in the cycle recharge speed due to the intense vector calculation times.
There was some delay in moving citizens out of the city core due to several Yellow Line operators not responding to the call to reverse incoming monorail tracks, causing automated safety shutdowns of outbound trains.
Now that the Taxibots have experience in enacting their action plan, they will continue to practice and improve their response times. The evacuation that took place during this incursion will be studied to look for opportunities for improved logistics. Taxibot Belle will contact city planners at the Paragon Transit Authorities first thing in the morning to address the issues with trains not adhering to the evacuation plan. -

Oh my, this is terrible! I have experience as a member of the Freedom Phalanx Reserve in planning evacuations, logistics, and strategic movements of the city's superhero resources, and I have firsthand experience in assisting with Rikti invasions, so although I'm not really much of a super powered being, I might be able to help in some capacity! Here's my information, let me know if you need anything else:
