Does the level difference have any impact in PvP?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes and a huge one.Slots etc.
[ QUOTE ]
but I'm pondering the use of Weave
[/ QUOTE ]
Tough i can live with altho is kinda pointless in PvP to be honest considering is res against smashing lethal which leaves only gimpled sets i guess.Weave well useless imho unless you closing on soft defense cap and want this extra little something.
As far as the build goes.Try to boost +HP and regen and recovery in my opinion. -
Hello matey welcome to the PvP community.
Righto so lets get down to business. You are interested into casual zone PvP and i am guessing you are not part of a regular pvp sg or team so you want something reliable on its own to have fun.
I would say Tankers Brutes is the best place to start.
Ice/Energy,Fire/Energy for tankers are you best bets to have some good fun,not die easy so you can be able observe stuff in zone as well as be able take your own kills.
Energy/Fire for brutes should be your best bet imho villains side.
These sets are easy to get into, give you good survivability and allow you to get the feeling of PvP mechanics and observe how more experienced PvPers play their sets.
Ranged sets especially blasters are great for PvP but need support and need to be really experienced to be a good blaster in PvP due to high mobility and fast targeting involved as well knowing how to combine powers and so on.Witout support tho most important you will need a REALLY expensive build. Most PvPer builds range from 300-1billion inf.
Union has a higher PvP population with more crowded zones and lately we have loads of actions across all 3 major PvP zones as well as arena PvP events including the Monday Nights where we gather for random fun welcome newcomers and show them the ropes and so on.
Regarding PvP SG's well there are quite a few on Union. Vindicate/Fatality (aint recruiting atm),Retribution,Evil(villains side),a couple of new SG's too like Resistance and Enigma Force.
Feel free also to contact any of the seasoned PvPers on this board for info i think 99% will be happy to answer questions.
Thats all welcome again wish you all best and catch ya in Union PvP zones (well preferably RV)

For team and arena team a cominbation of the following would be my pick:
<ul type="square">[*]Thermal Corruptors - Bread and butter villain support great shields, devastating debuffs, some slow resistance, grantable mez protection, heals, forge. Best with sonic/* for epic res debuffs, ice/*, fire/* and rad/* can be quiety effective.[*]Kinetic Corruptors - Speed boost and IR for nice unsuppressed movement, slows, end drain, siphon power and fulcrum shift for great damage. With acrobatic changes even more important with ID. Best with Ice primary as with stacked siphon speed you can get amazing DPS, fire/* can also work but needs second kin otherwise you will never have any of the blue stuff. Sonic/* can also be very nice but one of the great things about /kin corruptors is the way you can really chain together short activating attacks and sonic unfortunately has long animation.[*]Sonic Corruptors - Cage and grantable perception and fast recharging res debuff, as well as shields and mez protection. Pair with sonic/*, ice/*, fire/*, or rad/* (-def is nice when trying to cage forted blasters. Also cage is probably the best counter for psy blasters for corruptor heavy teams.[*]Cold Corruptors - Frostwork, amazing for toons without IOs/Accolades, some nice defence shields but kinda need to be stacked to do much good, amazing slows, resistance debuffs and with webnade a great target caller. Personally I think cold is a nice toon to have but rather have thermals and kins first. Sonic/* and Ice.* the best for obvious synergy (more -res and slows respectively).[*]Dominators - when perma-doms are buffed they become the villain equivalent of blasters but without support they only really shine in duels. Ice/*, Mind/*, */Fire, */Ice are probably the pick with */Elec being a nice melee dom for i12.[*]Brutes - EM/* brutes are a decent all round pvp toon 32+ with taunt can be a very nice foil for a corruptor heavy team. Especially when a target has heavy -resistance a buffed em/fire uses ET with BU and FE they certainly feel it. With psy blasters and fury buff they become more important - ss/wp for example would be a very nice taunt bot.[/list]Those are my personal feeling with regards to higher level villain team mechanics, Storm Corruptors may be added to the list too with i12.
For duels cold corruptors, and perma doms are probably the pick, not that a lot of dueling happens.

^ This fully covers it as far as arena goes.
For zonal.Well this kinda depends really. For team zonal corruptors especially thermal are awsome.Kin/ice in the right hands can demolish people (Phil ftw tbh).Solo well a stalker i guess but be prepared to get cremated a lot.Dominators buffed in zonal rock as well. -

So much love <3

mwah babe! -
[ QUOTE ]
When your hunting stalkers at the stealth cap its pretty damn useful.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lol!Get out of sirens and stop paying to powerlevel and might actually learn how to PvP without needing a marker against stalkers. -
[ QUOTE ]
That was random and unrelated to this post.
[/ QUOTE ]
Its totally related. You pointing out to people which is the right way to get the badge/accolade when in the meantime you got no clue about this game considering you got yourself shares in a pay to powerlevel company from the amount of cash you dropped to them to powerlevel you.
I bet Tony has you in the frontpage of his website as customer of the month.
Now if you feel i am wrong drop a petition to support to have a look at your account and my "broken record".
PS: Ni hao and sayonara -

If the idea of the accolade was to sit for 5 hours doing nothing it would not be called "Born in Battle" it would be called "Born sitting on your [censored] doing Sfa"
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh yes i see it now.And if the idea of an MMO was to pay someone else real money to level up your toons it might as well be called SELFMO. (Someone Else Levels For Me Online) -
The PB nerf is a hero nerf and a very serious and much needed one.Apart from this i am looking forward at some announcements regarding PvP and some major content. If nothing like this happens by issue 13 as far as i am concerned i think i ll be moving on to more PvP orientated games such as Warhammer considering that any lack of PvP revamp indication by then will be clear evidence of what the developments intend to do with the PvP community after the ownership change.I have faith in them considering Castle and some others seem interested to do something with PVP.Thats of course my personal opinion only.

City of Heroes Issue 12: Midnight Hour, now in Open Beta, brings with it a vast assortment of Quality of Life fixes and tweaks.
One small but highly significant fix slipped through the net and missed appearing in the first round of patch notes: the buildup of Brute Fury in PvP and against Archvillain and Giant Monster class enemies has finally been persuaded to work the way it should have. Brutes gain an additional 5 points of Fury when attacking these targets, which more than doubles their Fury building rate. The short version: a Brute can now kill you far faster than you'd expect, and can contribute more to drawn-out fights against the game's toughest enemies.
The Brute community has anticipated this change for a long time now. Without the fix, their viability in PvP was not much to write home about. Now, Castle the Powers Guy has made a lot of Brutes very happy.
Other features that swing the balance back towards the Villains in PvP are the addition of a Perception buff to O2 boost, adding a valuable low-level counter to stealthy heroes, and the hero Psi Blaster being a less fearsome opponent than many Villains had feared.
Knockback in PvP has been radically revised, with Acrobatics no longer giving near-total immunity. Caging powers now follow suppression rules, meaning you can't keep some opponents locked out of the fight. Most impressively, Power Boost has been nerfed, its effectiveness cut by a third; and it now won't stack, meaning it will no longer be possible to achive godlike debuffs and holds. This directly tackles one of the Villains' main complaints about Hero Epic power pools, namely the easy access to Power Boost which they did not have.
It looks like this the start of a continuing trend. The Arena has already seen some fixes, and a long list of known issues suggests that more are on the way. Pohsyb, the ingenious developer responsible for implementing the huge array of user interface improvements in Issue 12, has told us the Devs 'will be revisiting all that is bases and base-raiding'. It's common knowledge that the base raid system intended to be launched with CoV has never gotten off the ground properly. Now, at last, there is hope for this potential to be realized.

Made of win to be honest and there is lots hinting towards revamping PvP which makes me a happy bunny from i13 and onwards. -

TG; why Psi APP?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, for i12 farming one of the missions for farming and generating some income without hardcore solutions like the sonic on follow the council map (which is 1 or 2 missions after family) is the best. There is a lot stun going there tho so will need Psi epic for mez res.The map is uber for long farm cause is huge,is open and mobs do laughable damage which is totally negated with a good build and the mez.Plus psi dmg with fulcrum is just great.
There are some other great missions for i12 for farming but require some more hardcore solutions like the one we follow with a second account fire/sonic on follow to a fire kinetic.
For some good income generation tho and casual farm PSi epic is great. -

I survived the war in lebanon just so i can kick your [censored] t onight. I'll be there!!!

LMFAO.We got you lots purplies psy. -
LN,if you are planning to farm psi epic is the way to go atm due to the farming missions change on heroes side.
Maximise resistance and try fit it in some kb protection too cause new farming missions of choice got some kb.
Build looks good imho from a first look although is too early and i aint properly looked at it.Will check it on builder later. -
Hasten and Super Speed definitely need be taken a lot earlier. Also switch swift for hurdle.Moment of glory is next to useless in PvP from my experience.Try slotting some end mod sets in QR and stamina if you can.
Well claws is highly resisted like most scrapper s/l damage. But its for fun so hope you enjoy it -
