So a villain is allowed to mame, torture, murder, pilage, and plunder...but not be a twit?
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't justify crappy OOC behaviour, no.
Please don't skip over parts of my posts when quoting them, please. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why not jsut summon them all and then dismiss the individual ones u don't want?
[/ QUOTE ]
AFAIK, dismissing a pet doesn't boost the level of the remaining pets. -

Even though I wouldn't do this (unless someone was really 'asking' for it), I'm not sure it's too wise to nerf villainy in a game named City of Villains. Saying that it's up to the people who run the game...someone does it to me...don't get mad, get even
[/ QUOTE ]
The game being called City of Villains should no way justify the players acting like twits OOC. -
Yeah, Masterminds aren't for everyone. ^^
I'm about to hit level 12, and I can already see how I might not have the patience to buff, heal....etc, my minions at the higher levels. I've rolled a Sonic/Sonic Corrupter, and she seems to be pretty fun so far.
I'll be sticking with the Mastermind until I can see the Protector Bot in action, though. -
I mean things like Tough, Weave, Stealth...etc.
How vital are they to a Sonic/Sonic Corrupter that would be focusing on the offensive powers (It seems a great deal of the -/Sonic powers buff the team, not the Villain actually using them)? Just curious if I need to be faffing around with these things in order to remain competitive in PvE. -
Hmmm, thanks for the replies so far; I'll definitely keep them in mind.
Doesn't look as if I'd be able to pull this off in a respectful manner (Although, admittedly, typecasting a Russian is pretty bad by itself....), but it's appreciated all the same. I just absolutely fell in love with the Russian accent thanks to Vladimir from Max Payne.
<_< -
Yeah, an odd question but bear with me.
Basically, does anyone have any experience with Roleplaying in a Russian accent through text? i.e. Does anyone play a Russian Hero or Villain and "types" the accent accordingly?
I ask because I'm still tinkering with ideas, and I think the idea might suit my character. I'd rather not go down the route of "speaks with an accent" in her bio, so any help with this would be appreciated. -

Whatever you do, don't six slot anything with the same type of enhancer! The new Enhancement 'Diversification' means, esentially, that you get almost no improvment.

...
Oh my God, that makes me so happy to hear.

Are you sure you'll need stamina (I assume that's what you're going for with the fitness pool)? Durin combat I find I do very little, bar accasionally keeping some boss on his bum with force bolt, and constantly running a lot of toggles. If you lose the fitness pool you'll be able to take more tricks, invis or the first aid pool. I certainly don't miss stamina, at 26. Taking my build out to 40, I found I had plenty of slots for adding end reducers to things.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm. True enough. Guess I'm still worried about the effect Stamina had in CoH; namely it was a "I MUST HAVE THIS SKILL" sort of thing.
[ QUOTE ]
Force bolt needs an acc. and recharge SO to make it really good for this job. If you want to use it in PvP I'd take two acc. enhancers, since accuracy is only 50% against other players.
[/ QUOTE ]
It IS useful, definitely; especially when I need to keep a Boss on his [censored] while the Minions clean up. I'll wait until later on to start adding more slots, however.
[ QUOTE ]
The two shield buffs - these are the two things that really chew up my endurance. I'm slotting them 3 def buff and 2 end redux. Also, while buffing, I find that they recharge fast enough that by the time one has applied, the other is ready, so lose the recharge enhancer in deflection shield.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, thought I was slotting something else, as I said. Heh.
So endurance reductions then.
[ QUOTE ]
Hasten I can't really getting much use out of, unless you have plans for it later? Still, it's better than Flurry!
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, it's a pre-req for the travel power and I *can* squeeze some use out of it (If I need to upgrade an entire bot army, etc) but yeah...Hasten's quite pitiful for a Mastermind, it seems.
[ QUOTE ]
Throw some more slots at Dispersion Bubble when you can, you certainly get more return out of that than Maneuvers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Alrightey, thanks for the heads-up. I'll be slotting the "defensive" stuff after my offensive dealies are taken care of, but this is by no means a set plan. -
[ QUOTE ]
i would drop the end-red's out of the bubble buffs, since they last quite a while you regen fast enough to bubble them again when needed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh yes, whoops. I thought I was speccing a different skill.
I might just save those slots then; three slot, rather than four.
[ QUOTE ]
It depends what role your protector is gonna make, mine are secondairy for combat so i slotted them more on the def-buff and healing so they can make my battle drones and assault bot a bit more survivable.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, in keeping with my character's Roleplay, I was going to make all my bots very combat-centric; blow the living bejesus out of anything before it can hurt them in the first place. Am I just asking for trouble with that approach?
[ QUOTE ]
I asume you going for stamina, since 3 leadership buffs (even with 1 end-red) can be heavy on your end-regen. You might drop out the maneuvers and take PFF or sortlike from the FF side, it can save your buttie in dangerous situations.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I'm holding out to get stamina at level 28 though (After the Assault Bot). Does it need to be six-slotted like it was in CoH, or have they toned down it's effect?
[ QUOTE ]
Tip for lvl26, GET ASSAULT BOT!!! it rox badly.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the plan.

Hmm, slightly discouraging replies so far.
How about "general" Villain/Villain Roleplay? There doesn't seem to be a centralised location for it as there is on the Hero side (On the American servers, at least, the Heroes would bunch up in a park at Galaxy City). Is this because of CoV's relative youth, or is just a bit difficult to find a reason for the Villains to do such a thing? -
Ok, this is my planned build (Up to level 25) for my current character, a Robotics/Force Field Mastermind. I'm level 8 at the moment, and it's working fine so far....but will continuing like this (i.e. Maxing the capability of my Minions, but harming my "own" abilities) allow me to remain relatively powerful as time goes on? I don't intend to be WTFPWN in PvP combat, nor am I hoping to completely decimate PvE, as I'd prefer to remain somewhat thematic with my character concept.
Any help is greatly appreciated, especially as far as slotting goes. ^^

Simply put, does interaction between Villains and Heroes exist on Union beyond the two punching each other in the face? Heck, can the two communicate?
I was going through some of the emotes earlier, and /em surrender set off a whole train of thought in my head.
