My question was slightly different, and I have already sent to Support for a reply. Please understand that I intend to buy the GR expansion as soon as I am able.

In the mean time, I thought I'd enjoy the new Issue-18 content. So, after spending several hours on a couple of characters running Alignment missions, I was ready to switch my Stalker to Rogue status. Imagine my surprise when I am informed that I must purchase the GR expansion, and they even give me a pop-up window to buy it on the spot.

Now, its all well and good if I need GR to change alignments. However, there is no mention in the Issue-18 patch notes that I must have GR to switch, and what's the point of having me run the new Tip content when I can't switch without it. Would have been nice to let me know when I tried to run the first Tip mission.

Seems a bit odd to title the Issue-18 update "Shades of Gray" when there's nothing gray about it. Just my two cents.

Issue 18 and Going Rogue are upon us and unsurprisingly, we have huuuge patch notes ready for your reading pleasure!

Some of the main changes/improvements that will be available on the live servers will make your life much easier, such as the Market merge, the Pop help system and the Team Search revamping. Other additions will provide you with an infinitely more exciting game experience such as the Cathedral of Pain, and the Tip system for instance. If you've purchased Going Rogue, you'll get brand new zones to explore, new enemy factions to subjugate, new storylines to follow, and of course the possibility to redeem your villains or go rogue with your heroes.

Due to the sheer number of changes and new features being introduced with this update, we really recommend you familiarize yourselves with the Issue 18 as well as the Going Rogue patch notes, even if you haven't acquired Going Rogue yet. Some features implemented in Going Rogue will affect heroes and villains in Paragon city and the Rogue Isles regardless of whether you have the expansion or not.

I locked one at 30, one at 32 and two at 35. Though the 32 has gotten such trash I am considering bumping him to 35 or never rolling with him again anyway.

Did you still have the three? I don't think we can have more than 3 at a time or at least I have never held more than that.

If not, then not a bug just the evil RNG. Once I got through my 4 tips in about 20 minutes then played 2 hours for the next tip to drop. On the plus side I was killing bosses in paper missions and I got 3 rare recipes I wanted.

    What do you think?
I think I am staying in Praetoria.
  7. Honestly I'd expect you to get trouble from a Praetorian Loyalist more than a Paragon Hero. Sounds like he was too dense to RP.

"I was told all the people from your world were villains. Yet I am giving you a chance."

    edit to add:
Or the Dr. Zoidberg approach. Say to him/her, "your roleplaying is bad and you should feel bad."

    Possiblities:
    a) a lot of other people are too easily satisfied
    b) some people, like yourself, are too hard to please
    c) a lot of other people have a variety of things to do in the game and enjoy it
    d) some people, like yourself, don't see the variety*

    * You see a field of flowers. All the "same". Others look more closely and find many different kinds of flowers and focus and enjoy the ones they like.

You wanted there to be trees, bushes, waterfalls, etc. among the flowers and say those who are enjoying the variety of the flowers are too easily satisfied.

The ones I recall doing it isn't even about failing just that in X time PPD will arrive and in another you have X time to free as many prisoners as you can.

It was kind of a bummer knowing that I would free many fewer with one AT versus another. That other one with a stalker would have been more annoying but no less so than other weaker soloers and at least my stalkers could have gotten to the objective quicker.

My bots/FF MM was so boring.

Once I triggered as many ambushes as I could at once in the Peregrine Island Mayhem mission bank. I had the difficulty set to the max for back then. I buffed my pets and the NPC I rescued from jail. I went and took a shower and got a snack.

Came back to 4 of my robots (lost one protector bot and one battle bot) and the NPC all fine and dandy.
  12. I was obsessing over doing them the first few days but then I got over it and went back to doing what I want to do. I'll only be doing it to switch now.
  13. You could compare it to Blessing of the Zephyr's travel/end recipes at level 50 and test price a couple.

    Oh snap. Good catch.
  15. While I doubt this thread will live long I would comment that it is incorrect to lump the entire year's subscription costs towards comparing to buying new games since some portion of that would have to be assigned to access to playing whether a subscriber chooses to or not.

Also I have bought many games years ago for $50 or $60 that didn't get played even 50 or 60 hours so $1/hour for them would be generous. I play CoH at least 30 hours a week but even if only 15 hours a week they are $1/hour for me to play.

I won't get into the contest over how much has changed in the past year but Ultra Mode graphics are sweet.

    Email items is great.

    Merged markets rock.

and just one year ago we got the ability color customize our powers.

I could go on but you probably aren't interested in what really has been added in the last year.
  16. At the very least if it could have a "beginner's luck" type of adjustment to Rest where it's recharge gradually increases with our level from 1 to 20 where at 20 it is at the current rate but at 1 it is very small.

    Some Questions

I've level locked a pair at 30 and 35 to make a-merits and take the random 5 recipe roll.

You don't notice ones who do just as we don't notice people who aren't spamming their powers in the markets.

Your complaint is over 3 years old apart from this recent addition of masterminds blueside. How have you handled the morons spamming their auras and doing footstomps in the market all this time?

Shoot if all they did was add 1 point of end per level or every even level the game could be more fun. Pre-stamina is not challenging, it is tedious.

The game dosen't need for it to change, and it works fine as is, but it could still decrease a lot of the hate people have for the pre 20 game. I can only speak for myself, but I log in to play the game, not take a knee every few mobs.

Also I do slot -end in all of my attacks before I even slot damage in them. Even with that, my claws/DA sucked wind like there was no tomorrow, and the only thing that finally made it fun was Physical Perfection.
What if we started with 120 endurance which decreases by 1 each level to 100 at level 20?
Or if they added a -end component to the powers like beginner's luck?

    What would Rorschach do?

In a completely serious note, this is why I really enjoyed Going Rogue was it was a good first attempt at creating that same kind of moral quandary that we was presented in The Watchmen. /em thumbsup

I think that depends on many factors.

Are you as a hero powerful enough to defeat Cole? What about the Hamidon? Are you powerful enough that with some other supers' help you could defeat them?

So there you are all powerful helping people in need. What does Cole do?

One thing that I've realized since we had City of Villains added is that villains initiate trouble. Heroes respond to trouble. Even a pro-active response to a coming issue still needed that coming issue.

It seems to me that with enough power you as a superhero would become the hero the people need and they thought Cole was.

Make sure your level slider is a level where the set exists. For example, if my slider had been above 30 or below 10, no Steadfast Protection IOs would have listed.
