    Loss of a hero

Hi everyone, thanks for all the kind words. I have passed them onto Prof Jr and his family.

AS I stated before, I created a story arc in honor of Prof. I finished the arc today and published it

    Title: Madmen Among us
    ARC ID# 223534

Again, thanks everyone. Take care of each other out there

    For Justice,
    Super Savior

    RIP Prof

We don't have anything planned right now. Once I hear back from Prof Jr we might try and do something for him aside from the black outifts and AE stuff.

I will keep you all posted when we do some sort of ingame service.

    Loss of a hero

I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but here goes.

This week one of Steel Justice's longest standing members and leaders, Professor Entropy, lost his battle with throat cancer. His son (Prof Jr.) let us know that though he was starting to make a recovery from the cancer, he fell ill and died the beginning of this week.

Prof was a good friend and a great player who held a passion for CoH and comic books at all times. Always quick with a funny reference or a pun, he made teaming fun. He will be missed greatly and our Hall of Steel Justice will feel empty without him.

We, the members of Steel Justice will be wearing black on our uniforms in mourning for Prof. Also in tribute, myself and another member will be creating AE story arcs featuring Prof as a contact and ally.

Prof also created two story arcs of his own (#110055 & #111743) that are short but pretty enjoyable. I recommend them.

Thanks for reading this and for those interested I will be posting the ARC IDs in this thread when they are completed.

Prof, I will miss you buddy.

    For Justice,
    Super Savior.
  4. The Safeguard missions for any level 50 can be ridiculously hard even on the Heroic setting. Having to fight through the Carnival of Shadows and the Malta group is frustrating beyond belief. Two groups that can see through any type of stealth (which is probably a bug) and sap your Endurance in two shots can get annoying.

I also agree with other posters that the mob seem to be placed too close togther. It is rather difficult to try and get a side mission from the Carnies when a group of Malta begins draining your endurance and hitting you -Fly attacks because you happened to be kind of close to them.

I think changing the enemies would go far to improving the SafeGuard missions. Instead of always having to fight Malta and Carnies at level 50, change it up sometimes with Nemesis and The Council. Both of those groups scale up to level 50 with out any problems. Hell, even stuff the place full of Arachnos troops! (I love fighting those guys!)

I can't comment on the lower level Safeguards as I have not played them yet. I do agree that high level characters should be able to take a Safeguard mission anywhere in the city. It just seems kind of silly to me to not allow me to be in say Atlas Park and not be able to hold off an attack by The Council (or some enemy group). I agree that if high level players can't use the Scanner in low level areas, why bother giving us the police contacts for that area?
  5. Yeah you do fight the Psi-Cops and all the rest of PPD in the Mayhem Missions. I played one the other day on test an I had to steal money from a bank in Founder's Falls. Not only did Longbow show up but the Psi-cops, and guys in the Hard Suits were everywhere. It was a lot of fun.

Wow, were your parents worried that you were born with white hair?

According to every cartoon, sci-fi and horror film I have ever seen, anyone with colored hair has special powers.

    Heeeeeeeeyyyy....waaaaiitasecond!!!
  7. I remember when they did the Rikti Invasion at the end of Beta.

I remember the little snafu from EB games where they wouldn't send me my game from my pre-order so I bought a serial Key online instead.

I remember when Ar/Dev blasters were the most powerful characters in the game.

I remember when level 40 was the top security level.

I remember when no one wanted to group with a Invuln/Super Strength Tanker - people only wanted Fire Tanks with Provoke.

I remember when capes were first made available.

I remember getting my first travel power.

Most of all I remember that through out all the changes that have been made to this game, it is still my favorite MMORPG out there.

Watchmen is one of the best books there is/was. Every comic book fan should own or read a copy of those books.

    We already implemented Time Travel...

Wait, we haven't yet? What year is this? 2004! Oh... um, ignore me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That means we already have it in the future! So we just have to wait so they can add it...but we already have it in the...future...but not...yet...I mean...

Ow, paradoxes always give me a headache.

Time Travel is pretty popular in Comic Books, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be allowed to do it. After all, it was good enough for Ubelman.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I loved the Ubelman storyline. I just wish we could have traveled back/forwards in time as well during that arch. Maybe we will get our chance for Update #4.

The Teen Titans are currently stuck in the future in their book and met up with their future selves. Things aren't going well either. I suggest to other comic readers to pick up that series, it's extremely well written and the art is always top notch.

    Time Travel

This question is more for the Devs, though is anyone can point out a link for me that would be cool too.

I remember a few months back Statesman had mentioned that not only will we be able to travel to other dimesions and eventually space, but also travel through time. Is this still on the books or has it been put aside for other ideas?

Will Portal Corporation eventually be able to crack the Time Barrier and send heroes into the future to stop threats to the past? (Or vice versa) Will we be able to travel through time and meet ourselves in the future or past? Or even get lost in time?

I hope the whole Time Travel aspect is still being developed and something we will eventually see in game.
