Finished that picture I was making of Amerikatt ages ago. Fixed some of my coloring errors, so hopefully this time the coloring is more true to the character.

Huh, I cancelled my account but apparently I can still post here.

WELL. AFTER A LONG HIATUS I FINALLY FINISHED SOMETHING.

Johnstone, I must apologize for this wait. I slacked off and I feel really awful about it. Here is your prize picture that I promised so long ago.

I hope it was worth the wait.
Lord Goat, your prize is next! I SWEAR I won't take half a year to do it this time. Promise. (Also if you could send me some good reference pics of your female main I would really appreciate it. =D )

EDIT: Also, the reason I cancelled is because I have a lack of funds at the moment due to lack of a paying job. Hopefully I can start playing again soon. <3
  3. Aw, thanks Caem. *hugs* =)

Gene has forcefields (purple tinted) and archery (metal bow with laser). Also flight. Also, also, she's an android.
  4. Gene-Tech!

    EDIT: Dammit, Caem! Ninja'd. =(

    Cameos for You?!

    Page 2 sketch: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...iana/Top-2.jpg
    Page 3 sketch: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...iana/Top-3.jpg
    Page 4 sketch: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...iana/Top-4.jpg
    Page 5 sketch: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...iana/Top-5.jpg

These are extremely rough sketches, so if it's hard to tell what anything is just ignore it. =P These pages are really just roughing the layout and action of each page. I'll probably do one or two more sketches of each page before drawing the final image.

    Cameos for You?!

Hey everyone! Dropping by to give you all an update on the progress of this thing. Thank you all so very much for volunteering! I'm excited to try my hand at drawing such awesome characters. =)

So far the characters that will be FEATURED, because they fit the look that I need for some parts, are:
    Harry Tavros (Minotaurus)
    SiLVER KiMBER
    Lady Arete

    Other Cameos:
    Sub Zero Man
    Amerikatt
    Mariner

I know there are many more submissions, and I'm planning on squeezing in as many as I possibly can. I only have like half of the pages sketched out, so there's plenty of room to fit in more people.

    First page sketch:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/Alexiana/Top.jpg
    Newer sketch of page one:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...iana/Top-1.jpg
    That's right folks, it's Lusca. =D

If anyone else wants to volunteer a character, by all means do it! You could put in villains too. I plan on doing lots more ashcans and whatnot in the future, and will lead lots of cameos to populate the scenes!

Thanks, everyone. =D Yeah, I apologize for being so slow with the pics. I am epic lazy and my friends yell at me a lot for not drawing more, because apparently I have talent.

@Johnstone, what exactly do you mean by more bone like? I would like to get this close to what you envision for the character, so if you could give me more of an idea on how they should look that would be great. =D

Have a WIP here of Johnstone's contest prize, a drawing of Bioelectra.

  9. Aw, I missed the first run but would be stoked if a second one could be organized. =)

Yeah, yeah! Just send it to lexithesmez@yahoo.com. Stupid e-mail, I know, but I've been using it since like middle school.

Also, holy smokes guys, wasn't expecting this many volunteers so quick! I think that should be good enough for now, at least for this ashcan. But feel free to keep posting some offers, just in case I make any more of these in the future.

So many great designs in these, it will be hard to choose which ones to include in the fight scene! Don't worry, I will try to fit most if not all in there. =D

    Cameos for You?!

Hey, everybody! I've started working on a little project and thought I'd extend the opportunity for all you lovely art forum people to be in it, just because you guys are so awesome.

I've decided, to get some good comic writing practice in, to make a CoH themed ten-or-so page ashcan! If the project is successful enough, I'll probably do more and maybe, maaaybe, sell some custom ones for commishs.

Anyway! The ashcan I'm doing now will open up with a big superhero/giant monster fight, and what I need is volunteers for cameos! I need characters to draw in as the superheroes fighting the big monster. =D

There are only two I know for sure that I want, which is some kind of sexy female hero and at least one big, tough guy. The rest are open and can be any kind of superhero you want! So, just post any character you would like to make a cameo in the story. This will most likely be first come, first serve, so post soon if you want in. =) If I decide to do more ashcans in the future, I'll probably be open for more cameos.

EDIT: Almost forgot! It would probably be good if you posted what their power capabilities are too! Also, whether they can fly or use super speed or what not.

Uh, Vision the Android is an actual Marvel character. He was the original Human Torch before the name was passed on the guy from The Fantastic Four. http://marvel.com/universe/Vision%20...tor%20Shade%29

Whoever made that character should have been reported.

Well, I guess since I'm back now I should drop this picture I did of Gene. Just a little thing, but man I like it a lot.

This is my last week of the semester, so I should be free soon to do more sketch requests (yes I do requests) and to finish those contest prizes I promised! =D

Christopher Robin, sorry it took so long.
Also, no cape. =( I tried but it just didn't look good the way i drew it.

Ooh, okay! I will surely look that up. =)

But also, a lot will likely have to do with your ability to sew (or learn to) and how creative you get. I suspect there's a decent cosplay niche even on DA, I see bits and pieces there without even looking on occasion.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to sow at all, so I'll definitely have to look up tips for that. -_- Luckily,we have a sowing machine, so that will help a bit.

=O Oh my gosh, I hadn't even thought of doing that! That is so cool! Hmm, I will most definitely have to look at that as an idea. Thanks for showing me that!

OKAY WELL NOW THAT'S OVER LET'S SEE SOME PICS, AYE?
First, obligatory update on Shieldara. =) I am still alive, kay? Haven't forgotten about my lovely contest winrars. <3

Phew, at this rate, Johnstone and Lord_Goat will get their prizes by next year. =( Sorry I'm so slow at this guys. This is my attempt at improving, kay? <333

Next is a pic I drew of Gene-Tech when I was bored on my lunch break a few weeks ago. May or may not color this. Still debating it.

Also, a really nice screenshot I managed to snag during a CC last night. Posting this just because I can. And because Gene is totes sexiful, aye?

    OH! DISCUSSION QUESTION, FOR REAL.
In your opinion, should photo manipulation be considered an art? It does require a certain amount of skill, but is it a artform or cheating? I would like to know what you guys think of this. <3

    CoH Jam October!

Oh, I am SO getting in on this. I <3 Halloween!

Also, Eat_Me, I know your pic is supposed to be the pumpkin dude from the game, but all I can think of when I see that is the Great Pumpkin Peanuts parody from Robot Chicken. Oh, good times.
  19. Hey, Azure Watcher! I was just chatting with you in Virtue earlier. What a coincidence. =)

Anyway, even though it's more 'sculpting' than 'action figure,' Super Sculpey is pretty good sculpting clay in my opinion. If you decide to ever go that route. And even if you don't, it's still tons of fun to play with. =D

Hey everybody! I've been working on a few more things since my last post and will upload them later, but! I wanted to propose a question here.

So, I've been thinking of replicating some CoH costumes to wear for Halloween or to a con or whatever, and was wondering if you all know of any good resources for that kind of thing or where to find tips on making costumes? I would like to do Gene, but her costume requires a lot of armor and 'technical' pieces, which I definitely don't have the expertise to do.

    Any ideas, folks? =D
  21. This is the best thread ever.
Please have at it with my main, Gene. =)

Hey guys, sorry for lack of pictures. =( I had no idea college would be consuming my time so much. Have a little update on CR's prize for the contest. After I finish Shieldara, I will work on Johnstone and Lord Goat's prizes. =D I apologize for the slowness of it, but I will try to work on it more. Have to get caught up on school work. -_-

And here's a little something that I've been doing during class.

That is my math notebook, and pictured on it are my characters Gene-Tech ad Dead Naught. I have three notebooks, one for each class, and each one will be decorated with a certain theme. I won't be adding any more of my toons to this one, but if you would like one of your characters to be immortalized on my math notebook, send me some pics and I would be happy to add him/her/it. =D

Hey! Yes, yes, I know. It's been a long time. I apologize for the delays with the prizes and whatnot. Don't worry, they are being worked on! I just started my first semester of college last month, and things have been a little crazy with trying to get it all worked out, but it's starting to settle down!

If anyone is interested, I will be livestreaming my work on one of the prizes today. =D You can watch at livestream.com/smexylexichan. =)
