Nope, the behavior "became" bad only when it became clear to War_Admiral and Cherry_2000 that the two players were likely male.

As that's the case, the problem is with those two players and their interactions with your SG and has nothing whatsoever to with RP.

Apparently, account status is only checked at login though.. (I'm referring to the game, not the forum).. which means theoretically, even if you log in at 5:59pm, you can stay logged in until server maintenance (or you crash). Then you wont be able to log back in.

This has been my experience, although in my case I got booted off at precisely 3 am EST the day after my account expired. I was playing on Virtue, which leads me to believe there's a server reset at that time, even though the game doesn't come down.

If someone is disrupting the game or deliberately aggravating you, especially if it is regarding inappropriate sexual comments, they should be reported, period. That's neither a roleplaying nor gender issue, its explicitly forbidden in the rules of conduct and the EULA.

The two reasons you mention don't fall under my statement. I think it's perfectly acceptable to not answer or outright lie about your gender if some random person asks you. I don't think it's acceptable for someone to lead another person to believe they are a gender they are not for the purposes of harming them, duping them, or otherwise harassing them. That's all.

ALL of that took place IN GAME, didn't involve sex, was totally spur of the moment between two players, and launched a storyline that is still going on today, 10 months later.

This is what RP is - giving life to pixels.

I'm sorry you can't see the enjoyment in that, War_Admiral.

If the only RP you've experienced is watching other people chat in Pocket D, I can see how you'd get the impression that it was just back and forth chat.

However, in game, it can be a lot more than that. You can write a story as you go. It is SO MUCH more than just "chatting in a bar." I've even made AE missions for people to participate in to further a storyline.

If someone talked to my child in a sexual manner, then 1) I am remiss for not making sure all her chat windows are turned off while she's playing, and 2) I am not so stupid to call out an entire segment of population on something that one individual did.

Why didn't you KICK those two people from the SG? Why didn't you put them on ignore? It seems to me that you really didn't mind that much if you didn't take those actions against them.

I can't speak for anyone else, but when I'm OOC, I (( Put parenthesis around my text so people know I'm talking OOC. ))

I don't understand how you can understand RPing on the forums, but not RPing in game when it's the same kind of thing. It just takes place real time instead of in a post. If anything, RPing in game is more challenging than on a forum.

There is no dedicated RP server because RP is allowed on all servers as this is an MMORPG.
