The end result was totally worth the effort. I love the reflection in the mirror, it's subtle but well done. Eddy really did some bangup work on it.

You didn't take Fire Blast, you took Stealth, Flares is overslotted and has low Acc, Nictus Proc in Fluffy is wasted, Oblit proc in Inferno is wasted, TG needs higher Acc, SF isn't slotted for Res, FS is slotted for Fear, you're much better off with Ragnarok KD proc in Fireball than in RoF.

This build doesn't seem like it's optimized for anything in particular. What do you want to do? At the moment you're not going to get much of anything good out of this char, as all your attacks are long recharging, you don't have the single target efficiency to down hardened mobs and your defense is suffering because you have less -ToHit than other /Darks. Set bonuses never make up for improper slotting and power choices. It's not worth giving up your strengths as a Fire/Dark just to get them.

Wait, how in the world would Defenders and Controllers be considered melee?

I quite literally wrote the guide to Fire/Dark and my AR/Traps is just as much of a beast on a rush team as well. It's all about how you build and how you play. Neither one is better than the other.

You rarely get to notice that her eyes are green, but these are so vivid and piercing. It's really beautiful.

Caemgen, I don't know why you made this thread. It's obvious from your replies that you're already dead set on holding a contest and squeezing as much art out of people for as cheaply as possible. Just do it. Don't sit here and stubbornly counter point all the opinions that you don't agree with. They aren't stopping you from doing it.

TA didn't get that many artists into his contest because the artists wanted exposure. He got that many because he's networked really well and could advertise over a much larger area than any of us could. It's really that simple. Nobody here is TA, nobody is going to get that level of response.

With the sheer amount of art you have in this thread, I don't think many people really know what to say. Some might be jealous, some might be enamored, some might disapprove, others might want to follow suit, but the quantity of the pieces here is drowning people within. It's easy to care for one or two pieces, hard to care about a sea.

The art forum really isn't so much about the artists anymore, as it is about the collectors these days. While there's nothing wrong with that, perhaps that's one reason why the forum feels so different now. The golden age of the art forum is dead, long live the atomic age.

Heck, that perspective grid sounds like something even I want. Anything to make doing perspective work faster is good to me.

I suggest having the boot with it's own detail close up then. It's too difficult to tell what it is at that horizontal angle. A 3/4s top view would do a lot to show clarity in it's design.
