Bah! No reference to what he was talking about made it a trick question. Had nothing to do with the cover image that was posted. >.<
-
I'm not sure what corner he means. The background streamers and mask? That's the special Carnie themed warehouse map you infiltrate in the "Crash Carnival Revel to Steal Masks" mission from Ghost Widow.
Personally, I'm a fan of the go-go cage. :3
There's a heroside mission that sends you in there also, but I forget what contact has it. I think it was someone in FF, but I'm not sure. I do remember though that those cages used to not have an opening. So you could Recall Friend someone into the cage and trap them there.
Case in point. -

Does a Miss generate the same amount of aggro as a hit?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, a miss generates the same amount of base aggro as a hit does, but the extra damage that is done on a hit increases the aggro even more. The difference between attack aggro and damage aggro is pretty large, so generally you won't notice unless you're solo, or your teammates stop attacking. -
EQ pulses 0.67 KB for 30 sec, from level 1 to level 50 scaling. That's KD. Unless you're boosting it in some fashion, it cannot do KB, aside from an unlucky combo of powers.
-
It's unrelated to Corruptors, but EQ doesn't do KB. If you slot it with a KB set, it will though. Or if you overlap it with other KD effects, it's possible that the KD mag will overlap causing KB instead. Since KD is just low magnitude KB, anything that causes it to increase will cause it to turn into KB proper.

Suichiro, I'll accept the apology you're about to make to me as well.

LOL, you don't know me well at all. I won't make personal attacks on your character, but you're obviously at fault here.
You used a giant AoE, which does significant damage and slows. You have no damage mitigation from your set aside from a -dam debuff that makes the enemies even more mad. You sat there and took damage instead of getting around cover, or letting your teammates take aggro first.
It's your fault. Period.
You can whine all about it, if you'd like. I won't stop you from complaining, though to everyone else but you, it's obvious that you want the game to change because you did something stupid. It's really that simple.
If you want to survive your big AoE nukes, then play a secondary set that will support it better. All of this is compounded by a big fat sign saying "lol kin." -
As a user of Energy Blast, I will tell you that the tanker APP version of Torrent is vastly superior to the Energy Blast version, precisely because it does KD instead of KB. It's a fantastic alpha strike, you can spam in whenever it's up and it becomes a significant damage mitigation tool, without spreading the spawn apart, making it more difficult for my teammates to then wipe them out.
Any argument that KB is better than KD is simply false, due to the fact that Energy Blast has only a percentage for KB. If you could consistently count on it, it would be much more appreciated, but this is not the case. It's not a tool you can use to blow mobs away, like Gale is. It's not a tool you can count on to keep an enemy off their feet like an Ice Patch or a Tornado.
If you're smart, you can work the set to minimize the downsides, though the fact that it needs to be looked after is a sign that it's performance isn't as high as it's sister sets. You could call Energy Blast a good blast set, but you'd have to call all the other sets excellent in comparison. -
[ QUOTE ]
The set is fun and is middle of the pack for damage output. Energy is also a less resisted form of damage in the higher levels.
[/ QUOTE ]
Energy does half smashing damage, which is highly resisted, making it one of the more resisted blast sets. Also, it has relatively long animation time, compared to the other sets' hardest hitting attacks. It's 4th in the 6 sets that have a 'hard attack' in their blast sets.
It's not terrible, but it's certainly not great. Though it gets it's harder attacks sooner than other sets.
It's a very middle of the road blast set based upon damage and animation alone, though the random chance for KB pushes it far below most all other sets for the average player's enjoyment. If it had much higher damage or did KD instead, it would likely be taken more often in game. -
You used Blizzard badly and paid for it. There's nothing else that needs adjusting other than your game play.
From a balance perspective and a concept perspective rains are fine. Though you may continue to make noise about it all you'd like. -

Now... like Defenders, Corruptors were not designed to be solo players.
[/ QUOTE ]
Very much in disagreement here. All villain sets were designed to be able to solo and Corruptors can be extremely potent soloists. While they have less strength on their de/buffs, they make up for it with higher damage and an inherent that helps them a lot on harder targets.
Not every combo is going to be able to solo as well as the others, but I've never had a problem soloing any Corruptor I made. In my experience, they *certainly* out solo Defender (Offender) builds due to the higher damage output. Faster something dies, the less end you use on keeping yourself alive. And their secondary sets afford them utility and survivability that Blasters don't tend to enjoy.
On the whole, villains were designed from the ground up to be solo-capable. Whereas heroes were designed to be team players, aside from the Scrapper. -
It came down to personal attacks and childish behavior. That's actually against the forum rules, so it was removed.
-
Once you get to that level, you have access to Fluffy, so it's stupidly easy. Aside from getting mezzed every once in a while, it's almost easier. You have more tools, more slots, more resistances to the damage types they throw at you at high level.
The hardest part of the game for a /Dark is probably the mid teens, when they have no end to work off of and few powers to recover from a bad spawn. -
Yet more reason why I think black and white line art is one of the most beautiful forms of art there is. *jealous*
-
Ice Storm and Rain of Fire have exactly the same amount of -speed debuff. Ice Storm gains a 10% -recharge debuff, does half lethal and half cold, and does x2 damage on scourge. Rain of Fire has no -recharge debuff, does all fire, and does x3 damage on scourge. Just think about that alone, when talking about a DN pull into a rain fest.
Fire is the clear winner hands down when it comes to the Patch+Rain combo. -
Baching!
It's also slightly more evil than good! -
The Ring Mistress burning confuses me. As a viewer, I'm not really sure how it happened.
-
Pssh. Sorry hun, but you'll always be NN to me.
And yes, I was playing heroside with Ishy the other day and we did the Prae arc, when we ran into Domi. I mentioned your char, since it was relevant to both our interests. :3 -
Heya NN. You totally need to post more. And bring me more awesome art to look at. :3

Projectionists was pretty dead on, I'm just wondering how it's possible for Melanie to just sit still, that girl is crazy!

LOL, I never even noticed that. Good eye. :3 -

Damnit!! I already got an art addiction, I don't need a statue/action figure one too.
Already having a hard enough time resisting getting one of Squisherific's custom dolls done.

Projectionist's recreation of "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper
Nothing else came as close to being so simple and elegant as this. It was powerful and included a background piece as an important element of the picture, which is something unique to most of the art done here.
edit: Also, TOO MUCH TA! It's like he was running the thing or something... :3 Let's give other people a chance to be raised as a forum icon ...like me! -

Something anime-inspired that I have going at the moment.

Ooooh. I like where this is going. :3 -
Since it's impossible for me to know anything about you other than what I see on the internet here, I can only judge your writing and your tone. Both of those are not up to the standards that will move me to invest thousands of hours to do free work for you.
You really need to learn how to spell and speak in a manner that's more professional in order to convince me that you can effectively lead a group of people.
Also, I want to hear about plans and solid information from you, so that I join thinking that you have a direction to go in. At the moment, this sounds like you're grasping desperately at straws with no real inclination of where or how you're going to get this done.
As someone who's worked on fan projects before and as an artist, I want nothing to do with this right now.
