I'm getting pretty tired of the gray background on transparent avatar images. The fix is literally a millisecond's worth of work.
What red-name do I nag to get this fixed? It looks horrible. -
New code push:
9/28/2009 11:00AM EST
New Features:
- Added a public User Profile page. You can see the link next to "My Account" in the main navigation after you've logged in. You can now share all of your saved, non-hidden builds!
Fixes:
- Server now saves correctly, and will auto-populate when over-writing existing builds. Server was not previously being saved correctly, so existing builds will not have any information for Server. -
Just a mini-push for now. Sets that accept Numina's or Panacea IO Sets should now actually display those sets. The code was there, the images were missing or incorrectly labeled.

No worries! Glad it wasn't something on my end, but even moreso that you figured it out. Plus it gave me a reason to finally get my VM setup working on this new laptop.

Quote:I'm downloading Fedora 11 and OpenSuse 11.1 for fun anyway (yes, how sad is it that this is fun?).It's Fedora Redhat. 6 I think. I wouldn't worry about it too much if its just one distrib. It's more likely to be something odd with my settings rather than the Distrib I'm using I reckon. Let me have a look and see if I can spot anything I've got in my Opera settings before you go messing with other distribs.
It's Friday, and I have a plane to catch tonight, so right now my mind is everywhere but where it's supposed to be -
Quote:Something similar happened years back w/ some of the green colors. Check your costume/color combination and see if you can replicate it on another character. Then bug it.
Yeah, it was a specific combination of a specific green and something else, I want to say purple. Looks like a new version of it has popped up. -
Quote:Ok, I think it's specific to either your Linux distro, or your something else. I just installed a fresh VM of Ubuntu, installed Opera 10, and it looks exactly the same in Ubuntu as it did in XP or OSX.10. It could indeed be a Linux only concern, I'll be able to check this evening when I get home. Zooming to 70% fixes it, and I can probably rig a fix via a View Mode stylesheet to get around it by forcing the font size.
What Linux distro are you using? I tested in Ubuntu 9.04 (it was the easiest), but don't mind having other flavors lying around to test with, if you're using something different -
Quote:Thanks, and I'll take a look!I was messing with a regen scrapper build when I noticed there are no Numina IO sets for heals in there. Just a heads up. Great job BTW!!

What version of Opera, by the way? -
I can't go down to the water's edge
I did't do it, I saw who did -
Sort of a big push today, as far as new features:
9/24/2009 3:00PM EST
New Features:
- Toggle Slot Level button - temporary (state is not saved) toggle to show/hide the slot bubbles
- New Settings button/window.
--- Saved settings are based on your Login Session, or by cookie if you choose not to login.
--- Included in Settings are:
------- 60 Month Vet Reward
------- Theme selector (can use default dynamic, or choose to always use Hero or Villain)
------- Slot Bubbles default (toggles the little bubbles over enhancements)
Fixes:
- If you click "Save Build" while logged out, and successfully log in, the Save Build window will now appear (previously had to click "Save Build" again after logging in)
- Hitting "enter" in the Log In window will now submit the form -
I'd love to try it, but I'll be out of town all weekend. Definitely curious how it turns out for possible future runs.

I've been properly schooled then. To be honest I never looked at the numbers*, just the fact it had an AoE aggro generator, and assumed they were all equal. Obviously, that old adage about assuming things applies.
Is there any reason why WP's aggro AoE is so bad?
*Just look at my planner :P -
A problem easily rectified with color customization. A blue-tinted Sonic Blaster I teamed with was some of the coolest effects I've seen. The "classic" Sonic blasts are indeed pretty boring, being translucent, but toying around with the colors makes for some very nice effects.

Quote:Keep in mind that there are a lot of possibilities for powerset selection. You can't base how many of a given powerset there are on limited teaming. You could spend a week not seeing an Archery blaster, and then get on a team with 3 of them, for example.Hi, I also am new to the game. From the descriptions of charcters I picked a sonic/fire blaster for my 1st character, it seems fun, however I do not see many sonic blasters on the game. Am I missing something, is this a poor power choice?
Sonic blast is a fine set. -

Quote:I'd also recommend, if possible, that you find an active SG. SGs usually have the attitude of "bring whatever" for anything but the most extreme facets of the game.
Eh, while typically true, I don't think Supergroups are nearly as important as they are these days. Being active in Global channels is usually more beneficial, since you're exposed to far more people (usually) then you would in just a supergroup.
SGs are nice and definitely have a place, I'm just not sure it's as strong of a need as it used to be. -

Ah, that makes sense.
But how do we know FOR REAL that Medeival Power isn't also a woman?
