I've seen it a few times now and was wondering what everyone thought.
Its mainly Stalkers but I've also seen Corruptors and Masterminds run from battle when they are either out numbered or they think they are at a disadvantage. I have several ways of stopping them, but they use Inspirations to counter it. I must cost them alot of inf because of the amount of inspirations they use.
I'm guessing they want to appear good at PvP by not dieing. I'm pretty sure most of them could kill me if they actually stayed. AFAIK nothing is lost if another player kills you, not reputation, bounty or anything else. So why run?
It would cost less if they stayed lol.
In the Arena there was a reason to run (stop the other team scoring), in the PvP zones the only reason I can see to run is to stay alive so you don't have to go back to the base. Then everyone runs back to the base anyway. -
Everyone knows I'll be there. I'm practically a member of Longbow never mind 'reserve'.
-
I have no problem seeing stalkers, I use Tactics and IR Goggles if available. I can't kill them though. They run away. Please nerf the hell out of them so my Defender can kill them...
My team mates can't see them unless they are really close to me, but they can kill them in two or three hits. Especially Blasters and Scrappers. Please nerf them too..
Joking aside, I think things are fine. Stalkers only one shot me if they use build up before hand, or have alot of damage slotted. They generally have to use something on top of Hide to get close to me though. Like the stealth temp power from doing Patrols. -
Stryker is most like me so I'd say 22.
Ignite Burn would be 18/19 and Dan I think would be 28ish -
I've read it, haven't commented though because I haven't tried base raids as they are yet.

Which night would be best for everyone if we are going to have a regular PvP night?
Will it be limited to one zone or alternate every week?
I'd be there if I knew there was alot of people on both sides. -

Yeah thats part of the problem Im not a big fan of base camping and dont really like doing it with my Hero. But it dose anoy me when there are 6 heros out side the base calling you a coward when your solo because your using the base deffences to even things up a bit. That and heros always being in the water you can look all around Sirens Call and not find any one but go the water and sure as hell there all bobing away in it.

I've cut down on base camping, I do the hotspots and attack villains who come nearby. I'm usually on a team of 8 and get told off for attacking lone villains. I'm pretty sure if the villain had a team, they would join in too lol.
Makes me laugh when Heroes make fun off Villains for being cowardly then go and play their Villian Alt. Or the other way around. -
I've been in Siren's a few times when there was 15+ villains and only a few heroes. Then as the night went on the balance tipped and there was more heroes. It doesn't happen often though. Usually the Heroes out number the Villains.
The other thing that seems to happen is when the Villains run from battle, the Heroes follow and then hang around outside the Villain base, stopping the Villains from entering the main area. Unless they have Hide/Stealth etc... -
Whats the level range, If I'm at the right level by Thursday I'll do it
-
Ignite Burn is up for this.
Tuesday is the 6th of December. -
I'll be there to take their endurance and generally annoy them.
-
Spider Smasher, Man in Black are kill 100 of a certain monster.
Disruptor can be acheived by doing certain PvP missions (one of each maybe?) or getting 400 rep. Forward Observer is gained by doing a Patrol Mission or getting 100 rep.
The only way for a lvl 40+ to get the Forward Observer badge is by doing PvP.
Risk Taker etc. badges are gained by doing x amount of PvP missions. I exemped down and helped lots of people to gain the two I have (I got the 2nd badge the mission after I got the first). -
I'll be able to make 11am tomorrow.

I don't really think that an IOP is going to overshadow the friendships, fun & laughs that have cultivated within the group though.

True, I can see it happening in the less than happy SGs lol. The new players that haven't teamed much with that SG will jump ship though. -
Shame I'm on Union then.
Get an enemy in the corner and you can keep them there on the ground. They don't move away and you can keep them out of the fight till u can deal with them.
Its better used on single enemies not groups. It doesn't drain your end like it used to (I have Stamina though.) -
I can do tonight, I'm wanting to bring my blaster along as he needs the badge and I haven't used him in a while. Hopefully I can get him to 25 on the TF.
-
I can see large bases and IoP being really good reasons to join an SG. I think players might start leaving their SGs to join an SG that has had success in gaining an IoP either through Base Raids or doing the trial.
No doubt there will be guides on building the best Bases and the best defensive layout soon enough. -
It was a good team and probably the fastest time I've done that TF in.
-
I don't mind which time, just so long as I know before it starts
-
My Blaster is up for this TF (Ignite Burn).
Saturday is the 3rd of December, Sunday is the 4th. -

Repel great in PvP against stalkers, absolutely [censored] in PvE,
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup never took it on my defender but on the PvP corrupter I will eventually, since the end reduction it might not be as end heavy as it was which was a nightmare even slotted for it.
Depends on how you play really like Nova said, PvE its kinda mince but good in PvP, like a lot of kinetics powers they dont cross over well but its dependant on your intentions
[/ QUOTE ]
How do Kinetics powers not cross over well?
I'm quite effective in PvP and PvE in teams and solo (depending on who I fight). You can boost your damage and speed, heal yourself and your team and gain endurance. Increase Density stops your team mates getting kidnapped by anyone with TP Foe. Inertial Reduction is a good SJ power as you can use it and not have to worry about getting away after being held. Repel doesn't drain endurance like it used to and I can stand in a MM mob and send them into disarray. Repel is useful in PvE for sending lone enemies back into the fray.
