The lid is on. I hold out some hope that negotiations will show promise.

However, on November 31st if there's no City of Heroes (or sooner if they give us an 'eff you we're closing it and no one is getting rights' announcement) the gloves are off.

(My Facebook campaign continues, but I did manage to get a 14 day posting, friending, and messaging ban. I guess NCSoft complained about the 'join my boycott' and 'This is what they did to COH' messages on their main and GW2 pages. Somebody noticed. Over 200 members and growing daily.)

Can we please do this again? I missed the chance to contribute.

What positive steps are you willing to take to save the game?

Extend your subscription?

If NCSoft reverses its decision I would:

- Extend all four of my subscriptions to 3 month subs
- Spend $20 in the store on my main account
- Plug COH on my Facebook page
- Try to get my friends who have quit to come back (again)
- End my Boycott NCSoft campaign
- Come back to Aion

If NCSoft sold the game to an independent Paragon Studios I would:

- Extend all four of my subscriptions to 6 month subs
- Spend $100 in the store on my main account
- Try to get my friends who have quit to come back (again)
- Be willing to buy shares if available and invest in the company

Beware. NCSoft is having a massive problem with Guild Wars 2 hacks (11,000 so far that they've acknowledged) and are blaming the players.

They're also having serious launcher problems.

It could go either way, legitimate ban or one right out of 'wth' land. I don't know the circumstances for myself and can't say.

What I can say is that my goddaughter and two friends lost thier Aion accounts because she was invited into a legion, got invites for her mom and a friend, then everyone else quit that one right after the other, and she was left leader.

The GM banned the legion for RMT without looking any further into who actually did it.

It's your decision and I wish you well of it. I'll be going elsewhere.

I won't be playing another NCSoft product because I no longer trust the company. No notice cancellation of games without a good reason, no notice termination of a loyal staff that's been with them as long as ten years, no information on refunds even though it's been nearly two weeks. I won't support a company that does that.

I wouldn't care if I got a dime back. I don't care if a lawyer makes money. I just want to put pressure on NCSoft and it's investors. If the game does go down on Nov 30th I just want to punish them.

I am not ashamed of that.

PS: I've never sued anyone, not even my doctor for malpractice when a bad mix of medications that never should have been mixed caused me to have a stroke. The doctor made a mistake and meant to help me, afterwards she made sure the pharmacy updated its software and initiated the hospital to do a hand search of all records to make sure the medications weren't mixed up for other patients. That's all I wanted, to be sure no one else was hurt, and she did it.

Changing the prepaid sub to PPs wouldn't help since you can't buy anything in the store. If they reactivated the store without the ability to buy extra points and converted the prepaid subs on request that would at least be something.

A little bit of online research found a class action lawsuit filed against Square Enix of America Holdings, Inc for deceptive billing practices for Final Fantasy XI.

I saw in Courthouse News that you filed a class action lawsuit against Square Enix of America Holdings, Inc on behalf of Final Fantasy XI players. I am tipping you to an opportunity to file a similar lawsuit against NCSoft with regards to its game City of Heroes.

On August 31st, 2012 the company announced that it is cancelling the game and the servers will shut down for good on November 30, 2012. The company is refusing to give refunds to customers who purchased server access time beyond that date.

Over 100,000 people play City of Heroes. Of that number I do not know how many have subscriptions prepaid beyond November 30th. Only one of my accounts is prepaid beyond that point (to January 1 2013).

I am willing to be your first customer. I will help you find more.

You can't download the client anymore. Trying to get to the Download link on the main page (under account) now takes you to the Farewell Announcement.
