  1. Duly noted. Be sure I shall act accordingly.

But he is probably a good guy who doesn't go round beating prisoners to death.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Blue Steel beat a suspected murderer to the point of death. Y'know, like every single bloody PC does a hundred times over in the average play session.

    Edited for accuracy.

On the topic of obscure IO icons, what does a rock with a rainbow over it have to do with Ragnarok ?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Presumably the Bifrost Bridge, joining Midgard and Asgard, which will be destroyed at Ragnorok.

    You'll make GR grumpy!

And since that [generic'ed]-ray exposure last year...let's just say you won't like him when he's grumpy...

Could this possibly be a jab of some kind against a certain poster on these forums?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I think you're talking about a phantom issue when you say that.

Edit: I see you're still in my head FFM - any luck spotting that Sky+ password?

Oh, sorry... I got distracted by all the... *ahem* "adult material".

    [u]Artistic[u] material, FFM, [u]Artistic[u].

IMO mocking with other people's religional or national values a bit out of way. Those values can be right or wrong but we should respect their sacred feelings.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Straying OT, but while I wouldn't mock other people's religious beliefs here (it's against the EULA, after all...in other circumstances, though...) they aren't getting a free "respect" pass from me just because the label "religious" is attached.

Going back to the link, if someone wants to decide to ignore or twist all observational evidence to the contrary and insist the universe is 6,000 years old because their religion says so, fair enough. I've got better things to do with my time than try to argue with people whose faith places their beliefs beyond logical argument. I'm not going to respect beliefs that - IMHO - are so obviously wrong, though.

Edit: I see you're still in my head FFM - any luck spotting that Sky+ password?

    Oi!

    *Tasers Diggis

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Yeah, oi!

    *Re-tasers Diggis's slumped body

And for the record it's like the Tardis, only with more beanbags.

FFM, while you're making yourself comfortable can you let me know you spot my Sky+ phone password? I know it's in there somewhere, but damned if I can find it...

I would have thought with all the known and outstanding bugs though there would be very little downtime?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Different problems, different skills; for example JLove, the costume designmeister, won't be a lot of use when it comes to delving into the inter-toon communication system to work out why tells have gone wonky.

So he might as well get on and make us something pretty for a booster pack, while the people who get their hands dirty in the code are busy on the essentials.

Edit: FFM, get out of my head!

So changing a hero's name isn't that much of an 'out of genre' thing. Remember, Monica (Captain Marvel) became Photon because Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell) wanted his father's title back.

That's her public story; in RL she was Genericed...

So did the costume resemble any popular comicbook hero?

In any event, asking people here won't get you very far - we don't know much about the story, and don't have the power to do anything anyway.

The GM that did the renaming will have sent you an email, which may give reasons. If you want to contest the rename, reply, stating your case, and see where that gets you.
  14. Mindbleach, stat!

That taken care of, all the best Black_Shade - hope to see you in the game again some time, but in any event have fun in the big wide world!

Could also be because it was a claws/regen scrapper that looked like a character played by someone called Jackman in a couple of movies.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Could be - the OP did say "...if u start to delete names beacuse they are similar...".

They'll be banning Supermann and Spidorman next.

hmm actually I like that idea...

    /unstuck $target

This takes the target spawn and simply drops them back at their original spawn point (since mobs tend to walk into walls/places they can't be attacked or be knocked back into them).

    [/ QUOTE ]

would save the GMs a fair bit of time

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yup, although I'd go for the original "without $target" version of the command, affecting all remaining mobs but only usable after 95% of mobs have been defeated, or 60 minutes, or some such.

If a mob's been well and truly knocked back into a wall, or wandered off the map before players even reached it, it won't be selectable to direct the command at in the first place.

i find if you just send the tell "hi u lft all?" then immedietely send the invite regardless then you can fill a team in a mish or 2. I'm pretty sure thats not far off being a blind invite but noone has ever said anything.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well no, I wouldn't - just give the dialog a dirty look and press the "No" button.

    [/ QUOTE ]

and hey presto i know that the last spot isnt for you. i can then move on and fire out the next one.

i try and not fire out 2 when theres only one spot. this method means i (and another six people) don't have to waste our time hoping that you are thoughtful enough to reply in a sensible time frame, if at all.

    [/ QUOTE ]
That's fair enough - when I'm not tied up doing something else (combat, chain TP, etc...) I will immediately reply to tells in the same spirit they're sent, which is either "Sure, invite please" or "Sorry, busy with XXXX" depending.

A tell+invite is - as you say - near enough a blind though, so again in the same spirit I reply with a single press of the "No" button even if I might otherwise be inclined to team. My nose, I'll cut it off if I want to.

Level up. Unfortunatly it can be a time consuming process first time round. On a new toon, it's not too bad though.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Not "level up" in the "do missions to earn xp" sense.

As others have said, the other build's at the exact same Combat Level (i.e. 50 in the OP's case) as the original build, it's just treated as if he'd never been to a trainer.

So the OP will have 50 levels-worth of power and slot picking for the second build as soon as he starts doing anything with it.

The OP tried to plea for the blind invite method getting more accepted

    [/ QUOTE ]

No he didn't. He just insulted all players who don't like blind invites.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok, lets call it a plea disguised as an insult then. For me though he does have a good point despite the way he has chosen to present that point.

    [/ QUOTE ]
TBH his point seems to be "everyone else should change things to a way that suits me", so I can't agree with that.

"No blinds" is a perfectly reasonable thing to put in your teaming box, and from forum posts a significant fraction of players doesn't like blinds - that's just something the OP will have to get used to. Just like everyone else has to get used to blinds, regardless.
