My son was participating in the fun stuff earlier, so this turned out to be "it" for me that night.

Not Day One, but Jul 23, 2004.

I had to wait until 1) I could convince my wife a monthly fee to play a video game made sense and 2) the next bi-weekly paycheck came around (finances were real tight). My friends form an IT forum were already playing so I joined them on Protector.

It turned out that wifey got her (then) main character, a dm/regen scrapper named Cassiopea, levelled up way faster than mine (Stalemate v.6). She'd hooked up with some great people during daytime and would get a few hours in almost daily at some point.

I got lucky at getting to 50 before she did because both toons were on the same account and I'd play like it was a job in the evenings.

We decided to get a second account the year after, in August 2005, when we realized sharing a single account was not going to work for us.

Got 767 tonight, with the new Posi badges still left to do and 2 more Day Jobs.

...and eventually that darn VIP badge.

Did the server crash at one point?

My son partook in the festivities in my stead yesterday on our main account, and he loved it.

...and somehow he managed to get on a team infested with Mean Girls... time to have "the talk" with the boy.

My wife joined in a little later and I got in later on juuuuust in time to get e temp title in Pocket D.

Glad to see so many people come out.

And we now have representation on the Champion server, which I believe completes the set!

Victory and Infinity had already been added last week.

Friday nights, past 10PM eastern.

Wife and I are all over this.

She'll bring Lady Cryostat (ice/emp troller) and I can bring in tankers (inv/em 50 all IO'd out, da/db 50), scrappers (dm/reg 49, db/reg 49) or a blaster (fire/dev 50) - your call otherwise I'd bring in the inv/em tank.

If enough people show up, multiple teams?

Given the already well appreciated altruist nature of the Taxibots on the CoH servers, I'm hoping you'll be the first of many 'bots to consider joining / forming their own chapter.

Not to me personally, but my wife saw her character get stuck in ice during the first Winter Event's "freeze over" as she had logged out the night before leaving it in a lake in the Hollows.

She was halfway stuck in the ice and a teleporter had to get her out.
