  1. So, are we all good for tonight as well, then?
  2. I can't count the amount of times the 1 mag resist has failed me. Remember, that's 2 minions or 1 boss. Go on a CoT map, and you'll see how quickly your toggles drop. The majority of stuff with a mez will punch through it easily, or the mez won't be a huge part of the attack stream (a la Freakshow). A controller is useless. (For the team buff, i mean. Controllers rock and should be part of every team.)
  3. I was wondering, seeing how Haloween is on the horizon, who'd be up for the Hannon TF this Thursday to get in the spirit of things? I mean, Croatoa is where all the Haloween stuff comes from, so it makes sense.
  4. I'm probably going to be late for tomorrows meet, mainly due to the fact i may not be getting home until 7:30. I will arrive as soon as i can once i'm home...
  5. Incidentally, i can garuntee silver has left. This means Hates is in for sure, so long as he pipes up and makes clear he's still in.
  6. ((Darn, got beat to it by Ghostie, but still, i'm gonna post Galaxie's report up))

Yesterday evening was eventful. Beggining our exploration of the immediate area, we came across several hostiles. They are fortunately identified by their dress code, with the masked agents being more heavily armed. After dispatching these, we realised they were a threat to the downed Novae, and cleared the area of them. We were successful, although a brief glimpse outside tells me they have already returned.
Following this, we decided to construct a map. A search for landmarks turned up the statue of galaxy girl, a commemoration of her deeds. Moving on from here, we found a terminal, from which we were able to download a map. The conversation quickly turned to economy, and we engaged some nonhostiles in discussion to discover we would be suited to look into a "newspaper" to find currency. Nhalio was suitably disgusted. The paper, or at least the little i translated with a broken polyvox, has been immensley useful, for one providing a name for our landing site: Paragon City.
Shortly after our discussion with the non-hostiles (Who we now identify as "human) we were attacked by an as yet unidentified xenomorph. A discoloration preceded there arrival through advanced portals technology, where they engaged with practised efficiency. They wield plasma weapons of uncertain origin, and many are psychic. We quickly learnt to distinguish two prime targets. The first are the aforementioned psychics, who need to be, at least, contained before engagement. The second are the support troops, who heal and shield their allies, and make any engagement harder. The first engagement was lost, in no small part by the intervention of a starship, carrying very destructive weaponry. If these take interest in the Haven Novae, we can only hope the Novae's defences are back online before they invade again. After we recuperated from the Novae's medbay, we were engaged again, this time emerging victorious with revised tatics. Between Tnark and I's containment, Teremity's healing, and Nhailo and Ussuskimo's melee prowess, victory was assured. Tnark, however, complained of discomfort, following damage to his suit, and Teremity accompanied him to the Novae. F
urther exploration showed us some human surgeons, who have somehow managed to empower dead bodies with mobility through use of servomotors. I have theorised we could use these to power the doors, if the powered doors cannot function due to damage. We also noticed black clad people with the surgeons, but decided not to engage.
As we returned to the Novae, we detected people in a building near the Novae, people later identified as Council. They carry standard issue weapons for this planet, but are excellent shots. Nevertheless, the building was emptied of interlopers, and we discovered something peculiar: A human was held hostage here, under the Council's "recruit or shoot" policy. Following his rescue, he told us of a facility for training such coerced peoples. Next week, we will break this facility down and end such tyranny.
This ends the first log since we have landed, and i am currently awaiting the de-freezing of the last three pods. The log will be updated when the occupants have awoken.

    Date:004.06 (Entropian metric)
  7. Galaxy Girl portal is good. We can set the base up for next week, with Gorbaz's help, if it's still available. But yeah, trickle in at 7:30, with a mind to be there by 8. Gives some leeqay if you get home and don't read this message. (But how will you know it's because you don't read the message unless you read the message?)
  8. I think the idea is we get less sets but more powers in them, and anyway, if they wanted more sets, they could just bring out more epics.

    Peaceshade, anyone?
  9. This monday's good for me too. I assume either 7:30 or 8:00?

We could put a"Haven novae" sg up and run the base as the crashed ship.
  10. Mr. Galaxy, part of the Aereaix race, a people with a mastery of gravity who's contempt for the laws of physics got them into a damaging war. Since then, they became a much more gregarious and curious people to avoid letting history repeat itself.
  11. That's better, i think we could do with some form of planetary union. Makes it easier to explain why it went around the planets...

I think it would help if we posted a kind of small thing about our race? So then it's not like, a TOTAL surprise, and we've got something to work off...
  12. Alright, my Grav/Kin, being able to warp the fabric of time and space, has the convinient solution! By pulling the space in front "closer" and pushing the space behind "further", he's able to make the ship move in a reasonable time, and avoid complicated physics. It's his inherant. But break up is agreed, at least due to impact from the nova.
  13. Indeed, the idea was it was the lone ship that has survived, although if anyone's got any ideas for what's happened to the rest, feel free to fire away. A partial breakup is probably most convinient, too.

The idea was that the ships were last minute preperations, rather than something that had been planned for.
  14. Ok, first off, typo there. That's Haven Novae. Secondly, i was assuming Galaxy, it's generally less crowded. Under what circumstances do we meet? Near immediately after the crash, or after a day or two?
  15. I'm afraid it is full, unless someone pulls out. I'll keep you on the backup list, though!

I assume everyone is fine with Have Novae for the ship name?
  16. Feyth: No hard deadline, but soon is good.

Shut_Down: That's fine, I just don't want EVERYONE being Khelds. And obviously, he has to come from another planet, in a star system far, far away.

ShadowGhost: 7:00 is probably the earliest i can get on reliably. Stuff(tm) tends to pop up earlier on in the day.
I'll be playing a Grav/Kin controller, and i know Leprechaun is playing a MA/Inv Scrapper.

And also: The tenative name i'm thinking of for the ship is the "Haven Novae". Any better suggestions, contructively critical remarks, or words in my ear are appreciated with regards to its suitability!
  17. Insectoid is viable, but i don't want them to "like" anything. The star system deliberately had 8 planets, so that's 8 possible species. If you want an insect, go as insect as you like.

    Ok, quick recount...

Ok, we're almost good, just need to decide a date, a meeting place (I think we're going to need to meet in a zone, as Lep's skibbed outbreak), and, obviously, characters. We're almost there.
  18. I was thinking Mondays or Tuesdays. Fridays i cannot do! And yes, Union is the server.
  19. Ok, just to add, in case it wasn't clear, they'll have to be new characters. Whether we make the first meet in Outbreak or one of the start zones is up to the assembled.
  20. I've got half a team already, and i've only had this up for half an hour... I should go into marketing.
  21. For a few brief secnds, the star held. Then, with a thunderous roar that would never be heard by any creature in the universe, it exploded. Crackling corona of heat and light burst frin the star as fantastic colors and lights flared through the dark, purple-red mass of gas left behind.

All of this happens outside of the view of the refugees, who hide in a battered shell of a ship, flung millions of lightyears away by the cataclysm, and the energy of the dieing star.

Paragon City has such strange visitors at times.

Hello there! I'm starting a new weeknight RP team, based upon the concept above. (That's a bunch of aliens who have fled a supernova, if you couldn't be bothered to read it). Other than alien, there's no theme, and i would also remind you all that there's a whole universe of possibility to make characters with! I would, obviously, like to avoid a team of 8 kheldians*, though...

*I've already had some interest, so there are only 5 places, actually!
  22. Sorry I didn't make it, sounds like you managed to have fun without me, though!
  23. I've just started my PB, and I was wondering whether Nova 3 slotted for ToHit buff is as good as slotting one acc in all of the individual attacks?
  24. Well, seeing as most of the discussion so far has been hero orientated...

XV'll be in the thick of it, nuking as much as possible. "Rikti attack drones? Those things couldn't make my morning cofee!". He's going to be as overconfident as possible, and with Upgrade Robots under his belt, he's seeing the Rikti war as more of an opportunity to steal some particularly choice tech. He'll probably get the TLF to try and take down a flagship, or something. Still, he's not going to be in the least bothered about the "war" aspect of it.

On the heroside, though, it'll be a lot more destructive.

Violence begets violence, and a war between worlds is not exclusive to Earth.

    All i'm saying
  25. I think there's a fair amount of difference between the TLF and the LF. From what i see, the LF is merely against government, where as the TLF is against... everyone, basically. I'm not sure if Hates shares XV's attitude to the anarchy thing, but XV is very much for "Burn it to the ground and rebuild on what's left", which i think is what Hates is on about in his "Land reclamation" speech. The LF are probably a lot more moderate, looking for reform rather than hostile takeover.

Again, just how i see it
