OK. This is a request for someone else who is quite the *ahem* volunteer, herself.
Over on Twitter, Samuraiko voiced the idea of a holiday-themed pic starring Posi and Sora, protagonists of her CoH fanfic novel "The Course of Superhero Romance". She did mention wanting it "risque'" but didn't go into details.
Now you all know Michelle's skill in writing, and in machinanima/video editing.
Any artists want to talk to Michelle, find out how 'involved' this piece would be? She IS broke and unemployed, so this would be either a gift or a barter, if indeed any of you could use her skills with pen or Premiere. You would have to iron out those details with her, of course.
I'm just posting the request. Thank you. -
I'm with Agge on this.
For all my characters on ONE SERVER, sure, it'd make sense to have a common 'agent'. We could maybe (!) even combine heroes and villains.
But once you jump servers, it all falls down, you see, because agent on Shard A has not ever been influenced or even aware of the agent on Shard B. They're not the same person.
And I can deal with a few OOC comments.
It ain't broke. Don't fix it. -
Quote:No matter how general is this section and how much room it leaves for random CoX discusssions there's plenty of threads here that got lost in the back pages due to an avalanche of random and somewhat boring threads being opened on a daily basis.
Why open a new thread that will have a not that interesting topic and will generate only a few replies when we can have a designated thread for random off topic things that cross your mind regarding CoX.
Now, you might say that long threads are way back on other pages because at some moment they became non interesting. I agreee with that. Personally I dont agree with the same threads you might have read on the first page of this section and decided not to reply or that they are just plain (insert_whatever).
I'll start with my random thought... CoH needs to have stray dogs and cats on the streets.
I see no need for delegated "this thread will be derailed immediately" threads.
besides which, who determines what is a 'good' thread and a fluff thread? You? sorry, my interests might not line up with yours. Mods? they don't post threads, only police what we post.
It ain't broke. Don't fix it. -
Something to be aware of...
When you're uploading contributions into galleries, there's a button to click to 'contribute to this gallery'.
It doesn't work that way. If you don't set the drop-down to the gallery you want, it will ALWAYS default to "Screenshots".
This thing has bitten me twice now. -
Can't speak to other servers, but Virtue also does Ship Raids once or twice a week as well.
-
I'm a Kinfender.
We are known in PvP circles as "Bait". -
When in a warzone, it is recommended to travel in groups, preferably ones that have worked together before.
That way the lone sniper/stalker/MM can't pick people off without a challenge, and any gank-squads will think twice as well.

Cast Mass Invis on team, then type "/afk That's right, come closer..." -

Quote:Hardcore RP = "We keep RP'in' when the others cut to commercial!"(I'd like to dissuade you from joining the "hardcore" RP groups as they tend to engage in ERP more so than the casual RPers and they tend to become wrapped up in all sorts of RP political drama among their rank and file.)
Actually Tokyo has a point. A lot of groups do get hung up on either IC or OOC drama, and the more involved the storyline, the worse it CAN get if the members aren't all trying hard to keep things civil. And yes, depending on the focus of the group, they can get pretty ... intimate... or at least, such behavior isn't frowned upon.
My only issue is the drama, as it tends to bleed into OOC and then you've less friends to play the game with. I don't have a problem with Mature RP bordering on the ERP per se, but I would much prefer to have lots of roleplay with the occasional E component, rather than the other way around (where it's all cyber with only the barest nod made to storyline or character development). -
I would say, you could do well to break it into more paragraphs. Other than that it's an interesting vignette.
The Roleplaying forum tends to be where people post stories, as well as engage in 'collaborative' RP threads. I'd say you'd get more views and reviews there. -
Mornin' sweet thangs... an' I see there's a grinch in attendance, too.
Ah well... have some cocoa!
And Rad... that's rad!! Conga-rats!
*hums a few bars of "Santa Baby" as if to give Detra a hint* -

Right click on the folder, and look for "Sharing and Security".

Yay! welcome to Virtue.
Now I have to decide which of my villainesses gets to join the Gallery.
Then I get to decide which heroine gets to move to Justice, and which gets to move to Pinnacle.
I think I have someone on Vic already. -
I REALLY like this series.
I'd be interested on how much it actually cost to get done, mind sending me a few details in a note? cos I've quite a few ideas of my own that would be awesome to see in comic form. -
Quote:Well that's where it all falls down, you see? cos I can't do the female voice impersonations all that well, and, uh, all my characters are female. If it helps seduce anyone into villainry, I am known to get drunk and start playing on weekends.
Its more epic if we're doing Teamspeak....
I do have one that's mute, would that work? -
I'm going to be moving a few folks off of Virt to free up some slots.
They won't be main characters, though. Mostly 'supporting cast' for concepts or groups that have since gone by the wayside, and as such, they could use their own space to grow.
Kind of like getting a limited-run comic series, yes?
Suggestions? I've both heroes and villains. -
Oh good lord.
MM's with full squads in BB? RUN AWAY. -

This is assuming that you are buying a SATA drive, of course.
If it's an IDE drive (or Enhanced or Ultra IDE) you will need to connect it via an IDE ribbon cable. This is a BIT more fiddly, because you either have to route a second ribbon cable to the secondary IDE connector on the motherboard, OR attach the secondary IDE connector on the existing cable to the drive. And yes, the cable connectors have to be oriented properly and it's not as obvious as the SATA cables are.
If that's what you're up against, I'd spend a few bucks for a six-pack of beer, that you would then use to persuade a hardware geek friend of yours to perform the installation.
Mounting the drive in the computer case (chassis) is pretty much the same for any type of drive.
You might need to get an electronics repair "grab" tool, which basically is a hypodermic needle looking thing with a set of three metal 'claws' at the pointy end - when you press the plunger, the claws relax and spread out, let the plunger go and they contract into the tool, grabbing the small part between them. This will allow you to hold the screw steady with one hand while you get it started with the other hand. These tools are fairly cheap (price and worksmanship) but will save you quite a bit of frustration if you drop a screw into the case and then have to retrieve it. -
Navigate to C:\documents and settings\(your user name)\
Check the permissions on the Start Menu folder. Your account should be listed, and it should have Full Control.
If it does not, then something has changed those permissions. You will need to log in as Admin to change them. -
Quote:There's a plot brewing, and for once Nemesis has NOTHING to do with it.Manhattan Bridge somehow wound up on victory instead of virtue. Not sure how that happened, since I had virtue selected as her transfer server.
Oh, he might claim credit, but noo... this just isn't his style. -

Good, then a good portion of my stuff will pass muster.
That which does not, well... not like people can't find it by looking, if they so desire. -
... sadly, that's the kind of player that a "PvP Game" will attract. But, they tend to have money for upgrades (purchased from the game company or from *ahem* third parties) and will often get multiple accounts. So Mr. PvP is a 'lucrative customer'.
Nevermind how much jerkassery he may indulge in.
And... I'm looking at the 'tag cloud' for this thread. It appears that there's some Forum PvP going on as well.
