OH! Right. Yes. Art requests. You're more than welcome to use Soul Train as an art model.

Oh.
So, like, if I was doing this when I was putting people on my watchlist... it'd be less work.
Bleh.
OK thanks Rowrsie... -
the linework, yes.
according to top post, coloring was Photoshop CS. -
OK I have a question...
how in all heck do you add people you're watching to a GROUP? -
likewise. that's really spiffy.
-
Oh that one's nice Alex. No, really. This painting style of yours is freaking awesome.

When I say something, I do so only in jest. I've tried to sound like Jill, the middle child from the Brady Bunch show, who's always quoted as saying, "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! It's always about Marsha!(Stomps off pouting)" So, if anyone is worried about me, don't. I drone on sometimes a little too much, but that's my personality. Heck I should give Prof Blues grief about his Gamma art and feeling like I'm being upstaged. but it's all in jest.
[/ QUOTE ]
UPSTAGED? Dude, like, NO WAY. You've got scenery in yours. And you gave Gamma a bike.
*wonders how much sleep he'll lose doing a V3 version*
Actually, as crazy as it sounds, this is the kind of motivation that gets me to learning the ins and outs of Poser, GIMP, and the rest. So far, lesee.... I've changed the material maps on a prop... I've used a nifty 'point at' trick for both posing a model's eyes and aiming a spotlight... I've experimented with 'wind' forcefields to automatically arrange clothing and hair (need to work on that though)... and I've got a rough idea on backgrounds.
and I figured out what was busted with eyebrows.
So... yeah. Bring it, Durse. -
Actually I figured it out. Out of the box, the A3 and V3 models have their eyebrows and lashes set to fully transparent.

You can get two models in one scene by dragging and dropping from the library.
Posing's another matter. I like Poser better for that portion of it. -
I love this coloring style actually.
very much like you're doing a painting, very organic.
And I don't think it's NSFW. The innuendo is there but nothing shown. -
smudge works great for smoke. Just do it on a new layer, and play with the opacity to make it obscure the figure underneath more or less. Flames work the same way.
Of course if you REALLY want to get fancy, you can start messing around with volumetric shapes in Bryce. version 5 has some really fun textures that you can apply to ellipses or cylinders to make smoke columns or clouds. Bring the 2D image in as a background reference, build up the volumetric effects, hide the reference pic, export your work as an image, then bring it back into Gimp as a layer you can play with. -
MMm.
Lovely tale. I really like the ending. also the 'soul connection' from one incarnation to the next. -

Nah, I won't whup up on ya for that. It takes a lot of time and really isn't worth it for lots of things. HOWEVER, you will be whupped around for doing a Port Oakes video and never going to the fort with the ghost traps! Oh Blues how COULD you!!?

D'OH!!!
OK ok, version 2!! -
OOps! Food, yes.
Soul would probably show up with a big slow-cooker full of jambalaya, dirty rice, or other spicy Cajun casserole.
Feral Tigress would bring steaks. BIG steaks. Cooking optional.
Betty Highside would be pulling six-packs of beer out of her backpack, her tankbag, and the panniers on the bike. Along with a few AMP's (she can't stand Red Bull).
La Diablesse would have no clue what food should be brought to the party, so she'd probably supply dessert. As in, Costco trays of mini-cakes or cookies.
Torch Juggler would bring a fruit basket... and then show off by juggling the contents before moving on to flaming objects.
Samedi Bautiste would bring something Creole, along with a box of Havanas and a couple bottles of good rum.
And Lucy de Loccia's robots would haul in a truckload of deli pasta salads, seven-layer dips, cheese balls, and crackers. Along with a couple cases of California wines. -
