2. Well here's my thinking behind skipping Weaken and Empower:

As a Brute you need enemies to attack and you need to keep attacking in order to get your fury up - when its up its effectively an auto-BU, as well as Fiery Embrace (BU) then this build helps to make a more effective brute overall instead of one that takes the minor damage Nimble Slash.

I stuck Blinding Feint in there because with that slotting I should be able to get a minor BU almost perma.

If you can help me to see the flawed thinking then I'll gladly put it in, but it seems to make more sense in order to keep the brute working well to me.
3. Ok well I considered your advice, but I want burn especially for when dom's are on team, also good to give me time to heal etc and generally a break in fights when needed.

Here is the build I've got now. (Yes I still have deliberately not got Nimble Slash because of the Original reasons).

4. Well I'm playing about with the idea of making a Dual Blades / Fiery Aura Brute, and this is what i've come up with.

I've had a read around and it seem that weaken and empower combo's aren't too much use to a brute so i've not included Nimble Slash in this build, but if you can explain this to me better I may put it back in if it's worth it.

5. Click here to see most recent concept image

At the moment its a small personal project so it doesn't see what sites you have gone to the most and actively replace them on your home page. As such I've manually edited each logo to be transparent and then blurred etc them.

However if there's someone that could help me find out how to do that I'd appreciate it!

The above concept shot shows you a much more neutral background, and a couple of sites below the aero box at the bottom of the page. Those sites are designed to stay there no matter what sites are put in the aero effect box - static links if you see what I mean.

In that shot, I'd be putting my mouse over the CoH logo, it clears up and appears as a sharp image and the text at the bottom of the aero box shows you where you will go.

If anyone is interested in me making a home page for them I'd be happy to help, just PM me.

As for now, is there any other ideas or suggestions that I could incorporate into the page to make it more useful for a wider audience?
6. Okay well I resized the logo's, however I have kept them the site's main logo still and re-did the Home font, the background(which can still be changed at a moment's notice, and the aero affect.

Any ideas?

7. Okay, I'm trying to make life even easier for myself, and I've come up with a concept design to show for it. What I want is that when I load up my browser, I come to a page that has my most visited pages. Now I know that this has been done in Opera with Speed Dial but I'm after something with a little difference.

What I've come up with is a page influenced by Window Vista's Aero Effect. When you load the page up, you would see the left hand columns - the blurred images. This emulates the blurred Aero effect, or at least tries to

Then when you mouse-over the image the right hand column image for that particular website crispens up, you can see what you're clicking and you go there. Visual eye candy galore, but I'm seeking for people's opinions of this.

How could I improve upon this idea, what could be added or what needs to be taken away?

The Background image is easily interchangable, and was designed specifically to be changed at a moment's notice.

So... Ideas?

8. So why dont we create the trend and actually organise one here and now!

I would lead but i've not actually managed to complete one on any char of mine (i guess you dont appreciate something when its just launched eh?)

So who is up for it, when and when!?
9. I AM I AM I AM I AM!!!

I agree they need to do something that makes it much more appealing. 53 Hami's, Badge, pets whatever it is it needs to appeal to the 5-10% of the population that can get there

Having said that, Pre I9 was such such fun, logging on just a few weeks before I9 and seeing a raid EVERY NIGHT was heaven! The atmosphere was brilliant and the more we did it the more people got involved and didn't just stand there for the hami-o at the end (you know who you are... *evil stare*)

We have to do this again if only to try and rekindle the atmosphere that held us onions together before.

Hami is the secret antidote to the doomsaying going on up in General Discussion!
10. Soul Storm

Kheld only STF!!

Right well My PB is more than up for this... I'm on union. Give me a tell at @Soul Storm for this and let the Quantum Ghost Widow's head Roll!!!
11. Ok I have 3 people now if everyone that has contacted me about starting will actually do it so I should just need one more, just gonna provide a little more info for you all:

The TF we will do will be the third respec, all those rikti are just begging to have their <bleep!> kicked! I will do it on my scrapper, and my mate will do it on whatever char.

Anyone that wants to is welcome to come and help in the last room, in fact that's encouraged. And who knows, if you're feeling particularly generous, you could go for the Rare Recipie Option and give the recipie's to me and my friend, but i'll leave that up to you.

The start date is Friday the 14th September from 7-7.30ish so anyone wanting to help you know where to be and when.

Thanks for any help.
12. Not sure entirely which TF this will be yet, but are there 4 people out there that are willing to start a tf then not use that char until the last mission. It's a good way to get the badge/recipie without actually doing the hard work.

Anybody out there willing?

Probably to happen fri/sat depending on people's schedules.
13. I am teh old skool too! I'm like a I2 DM DA - I loved CoF in those days *cries*

Aaaaanyway up to date we are an I'd just recommend using the same IO's Larac did Posi Blast, Impervium, Crushing Impact, Scirocco's Dervish and so on even though they are much more expensive.

My two inf worth...
14. Okay so where and when do you want to meet. Like I say if i'm wrong it's no problem, but triple is the figure that comes off the top of my head.

Also, back to my original question:
What epic pools do people recommend for Sonic Sonic Defenders and how do I slot them? I'm thinking of going Psionic Mastery but not sure of the powers to take exactly.
15. None that I am aware of. Just the disruption field and the Siphon. I'm more than willing to admit it if I'm wrong - do you happen to play on Union and we can test it out??
16. Very nice guide mate, nicely explains the powers. Well done!
17. By putting Disruption field and sonic siphon on a target. I tested it with a friend of mine before and after i debuffed the target. The damage was tripled.
18. Well if someone kicks you because you're sonic don't take it personally. There's been migraines, fits, headaches whatever caused by the sets.

BUT

If this is after Issue 10 with the new graphical effects then they don't know what they're missing. At lvl 30 I could triple the amount of damage a team mate was doing on a given target.

I have personally never been kicked on a team because I am playing a Sonic Defender. I think that's just wrong and maybe even griefing???

Aaanywayy I have a little question of my own.

What epic pools do people recommend for Sonic Sonic Defenders and how do I slot them? I'm thinking of going Psionic Mastery but not sure of the powers to take exactly.
19. Had a very quick glance at it, looks good. Might want to consider having Solar Flare in there at some point. Possibly instead of a second travel?
20. Thanks for posting your build(s) I think before I can do anything I need to finish IOing my scrapper, then get back into playing my PB and then I can make an informed decision.

I'm semi-reconsidering pulsar now. I don't actually use it that much thinking about it... but I'm not sure what to replace it with...
21. I suppose what I am asking is that is it worth me respeccing into my new slots and filling them in with SO's for the tme being while very slowly saving for IO's after I have finished my Scrapper.

My PB is on my list next because he's the first Alt I ever made (yes I had 1 char - my scrapper all the way to 50, and then made a PB) And since they named Ghost Widow's most powerful attack after me (I made the PB way before Villains were in the picture) I have to make it uber enough to honour that
22. So I'd need to save up say 160 million to make sure?

I've recently respecced my DM /DA scrapper with all the good stuff getting it as cheap as I can I have spent easy 160+ EASY.

Still not 80% of the way there either.

I hope the AH prices go down a lot before I am ready to do this.

Say I use a respec and spec into this build for the slots and all that, what SO's would you slot and how to tide me over til I am ready for the full IO sets?
23. Sorry for the double post an all but here is a revised build: put an acc in taunt and 1 more slots in gleaming blast and one more in Glinting Eye

TBH I only really use Rad Strike and Incan and Gleaming Blast, so that is why I put one of the 3 slots I was going to put on Glinting Eye on to Gleaming Blast. Plus with the Devastation IO Set it gives me 6% total global damage buff.

Here it is:

If this is the build I did choose to go with, any idea how much I would have to save up?
24. Yes please, post your build!

I kinda dont see the point of Solar Flare purely because the dwarf has it.. its a repeated power...
