  2. Not to get off subject or anything....

    But as to what you saw this weekend, I went there once at level 26 with no enhancements on a PvE build, I went there once at lvl 30 with SOs, and went again at 35 with SO's. I imagine my dmg was subpar because I didn't have power burst until I went at level 35, but I definitly felt like I did a good job keeping my team members alive, but once I died the team usually fell apart lol....

    Anyways, yes this toon is for team arena and zones. In zones I really want to have soul storm to help keep toons from hibernating/phasing since the knockback in Soul Storm will work on the squishies with hella KB protection too. I want to fill the role of a healer, but want to do damage while in scourge range and use soul drain to help with spikes and the like.

    I think I am not going to go power burst because of the range factor and keep the tier 1 and tier 2 blasts and triple/double proc them for when I want to do damage. Or maybe I could get by with just one blast and become even more heal oriented?

    Now that I think about it, maybe one blast will be viable, spend more time healing and be able to be ready for heals....I dont know. Personally I would rather have 2 but people are saying I should take enforced moral......

    Dom powerpush can get up to 51 mag, but sadly corr can only get to 41.3. ANd if course I need to have some acc in there so it ends up being short of what most people build for, but its definitly useful in SC and for people who didn't build KB protection.

Hmmm, I can definitly see taking out Power bolt because the damage is low, I really do think I need power burst to pump out decent damage, after pvp'ing with and without it in SC it seems to make a big difference. Also, I am taking soul storm because it does knockdown to melee's, its pretty much the reason I went soul.

    Is enforce moral necesary? I know its useful, but is it more useful than my 2nd single target heal or world of pain?

    what kind of event was it? costume contest? GM kill contest? This is a little bigger and requires practice and elitist team and when people have been practicing on vills to tell them now they cant use, its not really relative to talk about a completely different style event...with much smaller prize too.

    Not that its not appreciated, but some events just aren't popular especially when vills has lower pop. anyways.

  7. Alright so i made an energy/pain corruptor for zones and arena and seeing how the only corr i've played is a dark/cold (MUCH different than a pain), im not really sure what powers to pick.

    The must have powers are Nullify Pain, soothe, soothing aura, share pain, Aim, Power push, hurdle/health/stam, hasten/ss, CJ/SJ/acro, and stealth/invis/phase, dark embrace and soul storm.

    I also dont know what blasts to get. Can I get along with Power Blast/Power Burst or Power Bolt/Power burst? are they necesary?

    Do I need power boost for powerboosted soul storm, or powerboosted heals/painbringer?

    On my sample build I took all 3 blasts but did not have room for soul storm, wondering if I should drop a blast, drop world of pain, pain bringer, or just go without power boost.

    Heres the build with the powers i took that I think i need, but need to know if i should include soul storm and what to take out.

  8. jeez thats only divine that says that...your so guillable. yes archery is ok especially since corrs get a long stun but fire is still better especially on blaster

    Villain Events

    static teams are always good fun on villains, you can create a beastly team that can run through anything so you can keep the diff. cranked up.

    Good static teams are pretty easy to make, have 1 brute, 1 dom, then you can stack VEATs and Corrs to make the team pretty godlike.

  15. I agree that population is definitly going down.

    I mean if i want yes i can form PuG TF's with /search and join BMT TF's, but pvp is dying so i made a new toon on freedom. I mean honestly all the good pvp'rs left switched at least one toon to freedom, most free time is spend there anyways. zones are empty except the occasional newbie, some weekends may have some decent action, but not like it used to be.
  16. i dont mind the repel protection but its the perception that gets me. However on a regen OR a WP you have the option to go staminaless, if you slot numi/miracles in fast healing. Might have to go easy on the toggles if you do but its possible, so you can make room for tactics on a regen.
  17. i dont get it...why build for +dam if it gets "hammered" by DR, and when you can get a free 11 percent from assault and focus on other things instead?

    PvP and Procs

    mine goes off all the time in my dominaters tactics...i like it alot and i can see the dmg/tohit difference. also comes up with the purple hasten symbol in your buff bar.
  19. ninja is OK with abunch of KB IO's but i would suggest WP or even regen over ninjitsu.


    Ninja blade definitly should be replaced with EM,elec, or spines if you want to be the best you can.

    Tweaks and fixes

    I think that list pretty much sums it up, and the only thing bearable about i13 to me is less OP'd mezzes (but now they are underpowered as mezzes and just attacks), and the changes to squishies defense/resist. It really was crazy when blasters can get the amount of defense some had back before i13, to where my SO'd blaster couldn't even compete with ice/em's especially when they build for defense, idc if its IOs or insps, squishies shouldn't ever be past 30 defense IMO.
  21. they are saying in general...like i said maneuvers is great if you aren't at ideal KB protection or recharge boost but if you dont need either of those then i dont see why you wouldn't take assault, i mean if your end sucks so bad that you cant run assault, then your build is whack anyways.
  22. Very accurate guide. I have a merc/dark and dark/dark defender. I leveled a dark/dark and played it on pretty much all heroside content with the templars of steel and i agree that DM is played much better on a corruptor (and even a MM), and that dark blast has way too many utility powers to be useful when you have so many powers to use from dark miasma.

    Oh and...

    "Well uh, not to be belabourin’ the point but I’m o’ the opinion that Fire Blast is the best for blastin’ with Dark Miasma. This is because o’ the large amount o’ defense that Dark is bringin’ to the table so all the offense that fire is workin’ in goes great. With Dark you’ll generally be wantin’ a blast set that brings a lot of firepower to the table. Ice is also worth considerin’ because *GASP* oh god I can’t do it anymore"

  24. Making a regen is easy and maybe even fun but it will not teach you how pvp on any other toon is like, once you make a toon besides your regen you will feel like a noob because you didn't learn the basics of pvp.

    I would suggest making some sort of corruptor or blaster..but if you are set on regen i'd go BS or fire or MA.
  25. Yea....placate proc is good but psy's advantage does not revolve around an exploit in zones.

    In zones you set up a hella spike with Will Dom > mental blast > psionic dark > tk blast, all hit within a 2 second time span and can pretty much kill a squishy with aim/bu on. The delayed damage if used correctly can destroy someone out of the blue if used correctly/intelligently.
