Make a fire/kin but only take/use the most useless powers. Get repel, whirlwind, and imps. Then broadcast in AE "level 50 fire/kin lff" and do some mad farmin.

PB does not effect KB anymore. Hold proc is not effected by PB.

I've heard enough evidence that regen will be plenty good for my purposes, but I am not to sure about the primary. I was thinking BS, FM, DM, or MA. Are there any other good ones? I was thinking Dark might be good especially since nowdays the default setting is no HD in arena, so siphon life will be a nice addition? Will the lack of buildup make it worse than other sets despite the tohit debuffs and self heal?
I'm pretty sure broadsword is one of the popular ones...I'd really like to do Dark or Broadsword so I can name him Sonik Fang but if the others are significantly better I'd like to know. -
Looking for a new hero 1v1 toon that I can pull out when some ***hat calls me out...already made a merc/dark villside and I'm looking for a hero now. Are regen scrappers any good at duels? I know colds supposedly wreck regens...MAYBE poison and thermal. Are they viable for 1v1 arena and fiteklubbin? Or should I just roll some sort of troller or defender that saps? (no thermals)

It's not bad, but merc/TA, merc/storm, and merc/dark are far better at everything IMO. MAYBE Poison is better at AV's than storm...but not the rest of pve.

So how do recharge slows fare in duels? How much -recharge do you need to keep on them to be effective? etc etc

The problem I see is...how do I debuff their recover when transfernce only does -end? ANd how do I floor recharge when Siphon speed only does -20 recharge every minute? 20 seconds enhanced). I see the -damage nice but idk...

2 fire or plant/kin trollers
2 spines/fire scrappers
2 sonic/rad or dark defenders. -

Did you hear that? 20% increase in xp to level 1-20's. All the good farms are going to be capped at level 20 in i16.

HL is -90%, I thought infrigidate was -80%? Plus with snowstorm, ice blast, sleet, benumb, won't I be fine?

Rather than Most Effective, I probably should have just put Effective. I know every toon has a weakness, just looking at which are overall good. For the 2v2 part, I have a dominater and blaster to play which will most likely be used in 2v2's rather than the dueling toons, just depends on what I'm playing against. Definitly cannot fill the role of a healer, either, because I'm just not fast enough.
Any input on the controllers? Are recharge slows any good? -
Looking for a hero and a villain for 1v1's. MAYBE 2v2's but it depends on what I'm fighting...the point is I want them to be master of duels. Going to be doing 1v1 arena and some hardkore fiteclubin. Was looking into a Illusion Controller (5 other targets, placate proc and confuse, anyone?) and SOME sort of mastermind.
As far as the controller goes, I was looking at Ill/therm but that one is pretty much the biggest FOTM duel toon, and I'd like to stay away from it if there is a better/equal/almost as good secondary. I was looking at kin for -dam, sapping, and excellent heals, when I realized kin will only do good against melee toons, correct? Was also looking at Radiation, which to my understanding is like therm except for slows/tohit debuffs rather than sapping. ALSO, I was thinking about the potential for an ill/cold (once it comes out). I know cold is pretty effective on defenders on corruptors but without a heal I WILL need aidself. Also: Are the powers on TOO long a recharge to be a good duel toon? Are slows effective enough to keep them from using their key powers? (I will be spamming the hell out of ice blast too)
As for the Mastermind, I'm REALLY clueless as to what to take. The one thing that I DO know is that I am NOT making a necro/poison or a bots/dark, for personal reasons.
I am pretty much lost on this one...
For one, how much does the extra +res and +def uniques effect the survivability of Necro and Thugs in pvp? Is it DR'd down anyways?
For two, (again) are -recharge slows viable in duels? Masterminds have access to Powerboost and I was thinking that powerboosted neurotoxic breath, Web Coccoon and the AoE Web grenade from mace would stack ridiculously good, replacing neurotoxic breath with Howling Twilight or some other recharge slow. If -recharge slows completely suck, I'd really like to know.
For three....the primaries. I KIND of want mercs because they have a snipe which can help immensely for runners, they also have webnade....and -defense that stacks like CRAZY, and the -res proc, (which with all 3 merc's spamming their attacks, it will be on almost all the time), and the damage procs....the medic is just gravy IMO.
I know that necro has self heals but are mostly in MELEE range, which might be hard to get to.
I hear ninjas are EXTREMELY squishy and the Jounins usually waste their crits with something like Poison Dart (from personal experience). Not sure if they are any good whatsoever.
I have no interest in demons...
I don't really want thugs as they are also on the squishy side.
Bots....not sure how good they are....I wouldn't make a bot/dark so it would have to be bots/poison or bots/pain, and I really would rather have /dark than /pain.
And for the SECONDARIES, I am REALLY interested in Dark Miasma as it has more than potent debuffs and that sexy PBAOE heal, which is exceptionaly effective on ranged pets (part of the reason I was interested in merc/dark.)
Now that I've written this post I'm kind of wanting a merc/dark...or if that is horrible for some reason that is beyond me perhaps a merc/poison with aidself or some other sort of /dark miasma with a different primary.
Also: is Teleport a viable combination for a Mastermind? Since once I slot beyond a certain range the pets will teleport right next to me? Can I go without acro and just slot 3-4 KB IO's? -
I haven't gotten one since before the bug where they didn't drop...and before then I had only gotten 2.
