    Vandal Badge

You can still get the Vandal badge, there just isn't a progress bar. Also you might find this information useful:

    Quote:
What happens to the accolades when I switch sides?
If you have one side's version of the following accolades, you will get another when you fully switch:
Portal Jockey Badge <-> Born in Battle Badge
    Archmage Badge <-> Demonic Badge
Geas of the Kind Ones Badge <-> Force of Nature Badge
Conspiracy Theorist Badge <-> Headline Stealer Badge
Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member Badge <-> High Pain Threshold Badge
Task Force Commander Badge <-> Invader Badge
Received the Atlas Medallion Badge <-> Marshal Badge
    Vanguard Badge <-> Megalomaniac Badge

You will get each badge's power. You will not automatically get the prerequisites though.

    Quote:
Cool! Can I have both sets of accolade powers active at the same time or use both sets of click powers?
No, you cannot "double dip" the red & blue accolade powers.

If you are a hero then the villain accolade powers are non-functional (dimmed/greyed out). If you are a villain then the hero accolade powers are non-functional (dimmed/greyed out). If you change alignments later, then you have to swap out the power icons, use a different power tray, or use the available power names in your binds (for the powers that are not automatic).

    ===================

Finally, we know the firefighter dual progress bars are broken. Until they get fixed, I doubt we'll see others.

When you earn a badge, you will keep it. There are no "take backs" at this point.
  3. Quote:
Are there more Day Job badges to collect?
Heroes can get 6 more Day Job badges from locations that only exist in the Rogue Isles and Villains can get 6 more Day Job badges from locations that only exist in Paragon City and the Shadow Shards. You can get credit for these as a vigilante or rogue, but the badges for these locations will only be granted when you fully switch sides.

    Quote:
    Where are these locations?
As a Vigilante you can earn credit (but not the badge) for:
    • Pilot
    • Crey Employee
    • Arachnos Agent
    • Smuggler
    • Arachnos Official
    • Demagogue
As a Rogue you can earn credit (but not the badge) for:
    • City Official
    • Law Enforcer
    • Commuter
    • Shop Keeper
    • Dimensional Explorer
    • Intern
Any accolades linked with these badges cannot be earned until you are on the appropriate side. In other words 6 x 21 more days of getting day job progress AND the need to fully switch sides.
    ==============
You will not lose any badges you have earned.

    Quote:
My vigilante/rogue has met the requirements for several badges from the opposite side, why are they not awarded?

    * A note on Accolades: When they fully switch sides, characters will receive the corresponding accolade badge and power to any they already own.

You can earn any blue marked badge listed above only as a hero or vigilante. You can earn any red marked badge listed above only as a villain or rogue.
  4. Yeah, my Ill/Emp stealthed most of it. If any player is worried about the arc, I'd suggest that they get Pilther as a contact, then copy that character to the test server to practice the arc before attempting to do it on live.

Whether or not the missions are included up higher and complete or not is even more reason for the OP to be linked directly to the badge mission section rather than the general Arc listing.
Compare the versions. Blondeshell added the information that the original poster was requesting -- badges that were missing from that list at the time of the original post.

    Added to that section:
    * [[Willy Wheeler#Defeat all Arachnos Personnel|There's a Sucker Born Every Minute]] (level 19)
    * [[Lorenz Ansaldo#Take Down Sea Witch|Carpe Diem]] (level 24)
    * [[Darrin Wade#Go over the plan|Midnight Draws Near]] (level 29)

There has to be SOMETHING on the client that makes the request for the generated power info popup. That's what I'd love to find.
I don't seem to be explaining myself clearly or you are ignoring what I'm saying. You can't call the power menus. They may use a call window function, but that is a completely separate call than a popmenu call.

They might be compatible code, but no one knows outside the development team, and they are not going to answer questions about them.

When you right click a power, the UI opens what looks exactly like a PopMenu based on that power. The menu contains a highlighted option for viewing the power's "Info" which opens the Power description window just like if you clicked on the bracketed power name (e.g. [Sprint]) that someone typed into a Chat Channel. And if the power is a Temp Power with charges or time limit, then it's directly access the power information in your character to display the charges or time left.

This means the PopMenu command/function has some kind of direct access to the Powers data, at the very least an undocumented hidden command that opens power description windows. Maybe even some more dynamic functions that we haven't found yet.

Of course, I have no idea how to access this yet, but I'll keep it brewing for a bit and see if anything comes of it.
The pophelp has some similarities, but there isn't anything that is useful (they have to be called by something else).

As for the powers, I'm nearly 100% sure they are dynamically generated. All of the bracketed links are just that: links. Basically you are seeing a generated popup, just as you would in HTML.

I expect that they are/were testing the dual progress meters on the firefighting badges before converting any other badge.

To set a key to "nothing":

    /bind <key> nop

To show what a key is bound to:

    /showbind <key>

    As for what you want:

    /bind RALT nop

I would highly agree with this.

The CoP, in my experience, requires 3 good teams.

Ventrillo, if possible I'd really like to have everyone on voice chat to help sync this.

    Obelisks:
Try to get to 10%-30%, then demolish on next try. Possible to skip the set up and destroy the obelisks, but that is a decision to be made during the trial.

    Inside the Cathedral:
From the entrance of the Cathedral
    • Team Woe goes to the right cube
    • Team Despair goes to the back cube
    • Team Gloom goes left.
    Recommendations:
    • For people with low-mid machines: Lower detail levels during the trial.
    • Everyone follow the old Triumph Hami Raid strategy of the pantless/no auras/wings/capes costumes.
We ended up not needing Nukes to get the job done.

This (no bottom or back) is to speed up graphics rendering. If the items had bottoms or backs the game would still have to process the unseen side, this would bog down the graphics engine and the developers would either have to further limit the amount of objects that could be put into the base or up the minimum requirements to only the top end video cards.

I think the main reason Turbo wanted me to rep this group is one, because I have more time on forums than I do in game, and two, I care about the community of this game and I try to post and respond with the frequency most wish that devs would.

I will try to make my posts as clear as possible from this point on, especially now that I know the "boundaries" of my position. I really regret ever using the word "prioritize". Really should have been sort.
    Fair enough.

I would still caution whoever is or will be on the committee to be as forthright and open as possible. I'm not saying that everything has to be disclosed (and from personal experience that isn't always possible), but without openness this will be doomed. Make use of some of the tools the admins have and can provide: Polls, Stickies, Official Announcements, etc.

Real sorry about that, guys. Last I remember, I was exiting the 1st mish into the helicopter and I was gonna take a quick 10 seconds during zoning to catch super-duper-quick power-nap..... Next thing I know, I wake up like an hour later and I was logged off, barely even remembered that I was on a TF. Oh well, I guess I'm just getting too old to keep up with late nite TFs now

If it's at an earlier time, I'll try to catch the next run.
Sorry about that. We had to boot you to actually proceed in the second mission. We figured what had happened to you. The team didn't get the badge, so you only missed out on the Inf/Prestige.

    I guess I wasn't clear. I am staying.

    1) I love this game. I'm not going anywhere else anytime soon. My subscription is active until late summer 2011 at this point. I'm also not going to quit either the base or badge communities, even though I refuse to waste my time with stacking. I feel I have better uses for my time. Like I said in this thread, I'm taking a wait and see approach to the committee, but I am disappointed in how it came about.

    2) Sadly, the Scoop in the form it was last seen is likely not coming back due to many technical issues. Something might take its place, but that remains to be seen.

    3) I would love for everyone to have the opportunity to build their own lair/base in addition to the larger super group bases. I've never been against it, but without the developers making it a priority I don't see it getting done anytime soon.
  22. This will likely be my last post in this thread as I think I've made my point and feelings clear.

Kat, from past experience, it is exactly as theOcho has said: They will offer tools to make the player group's job easier, but allow the groups to maintain their own structure and will not dictate how the groups will act.

Actually that list that Lothic pointed to was only for the stand alone missions, and not the ones that the original poster was asking for. Blondeshell didn't add the arc missions to that list until 4 days after the post you quoted from me. And even then it isn't complete at the moment.

Ocho, the sticking point was that there was zero input from the community. I understand that doing the initial work forming the group can be done without extensive input, but at this point it does feel like they've went behind the community's collective back with this. There is also the built up cynicism that anything will actually be accomplished due to some very long standing base issues, some of which date back to 2005 and CoV's launch.

It is very hard to obtain validation when the group the committee is trying to represent distrusts said committee because they were not up front with what they were doing. This thread essentially "outed" them.

I realize that Dead West isn't likely to be a professional spokesperson, but throughout this thread he talks of three distinct groups: The development team (including the OCR team), the base committee they are working on, and the community. However given some misrepresentations and wording it is hard to feel "included" at all:

"We/Our" for the committee compared with "you guys" for the community. This doesn't exactly demonstrate inclusiveness.

This is a gross misrepresentation. For the last 2-3 years (starting around Issue 8 or 9), we've had a single cohesive thread (even sanctioned by stickying to the top of this section of the forums), with a consolidated list of issues and concerns. A single voice of organized concerns that have lasted pretty much intact without any response. The same person that publically made the badge issues threads (before I took those over, with his help) in the exact same format.

Here Dead West is pretty much saying what the committee will do before consulting the community they are saying they are trying to represent. It sounds like they are going to be putting personal bias on the concerns.

I've been having this weird issue lately with Badges, ever since I got the Role Model badge it displays that I got ALL Badges when I look at the Badge Progress Tab piece, but I don't actually have them except for the ones I earned. The picture below shows pretty much what I mean, I don't have the Badges but it just displays that I do, only in the Badge Tab part though. Nowhere else at least, logging out and logging in doesn't help either it just states that I got different ones then. Oh another thing it puts them under the wrong name too.
What Master-Blade has said is correct: you are looking at your Super Group's badge list, not your personal badge list. If you were looking at your personal list, then it would say "Supergroup Badges" instead of "Personal Badges".
