I'm not in any way blaming you for this and I don't think you have anything to apologize for regarding this.

Quote:Thanksgiving in the USA is Thursday November 25, 2010. Given that the 28th is a Sunday, don't expect anything before the 29th or 30th."Our goal is to release Issue 19: Alpha Strike! as soon as we can after the Thanksgiving Holidays (November 25th through November 28th). "
Can someone clear this up for me? will issue 19 be released between the 25th to the 28th november or is that the duration of the thanksgiving holiday, and it will be released after that? -
Quote:Patrol XP was made optional with the NOXP options. I think players should be grateful that the developers have given players both faster levelling through BONUS XP, and (at the player's choice) the option to slow down XP by turning XP into INF (the NOXP option).Okay, okay, I get that there are workarounds. I knew that before I posted. What I'm saying is that Patrol XP should have been made optional in the first place so that we wouldn't have to use workarounds. The devs have been really good in the past about making new features optional when there is the potential for those new features to get on players' nerves.
The foresight was applied, just not in a way you like.Quote:This is an instance where that same foresight was obviously not applied -- obviously, I say, because if the devs were foresighted enough to say, "Let's put in an option to disable all XP," then there must have been some sort of selective blindness at work that caused them to not apply that exact same foresight to Patrol XP.
If you were intending this thread as a suggestion, you put it in the wrong section. This section is "Player Questions" (Got a Question? Get an answer! Players helping players find information related to CoH/CoV.), we gave you the information needed to avoid Patrol XP.Quote:So, I've made "New option: Shut Off (or Clear) Patrol XP" part of my Sig, and there you go. Ignore at your leisure.
Suggestions go into the "Suggestions and Ideas" section. Oh, and if you do post your suggestion there, expect a very heated response for looking a gift horse in the mouth. -
As someone that uses both sites (both sites go down occasionally and it is rare for both to do so at the same time), I really don't want to have to use two programs to keep both sites up to date.
Edit:
I've never looked deeply into doing program memory scans or C#, so I'd be a bit out of my depth. -
Quote:As others have said, Disable XP, get defeated until the Patrol XP is gone, then turn XP back on.I don't want my character to level up faster than normal due to Patrol XP. Is there an option to shut it off? I see the "Disable Earning XP" option, but that's not what I want -- I want to earn XP at the normal rate, not stop earning it altogether.
To toggle between XP & no XP:
/macro TogXP "optiontoggle noxp"
To turn XP off:
/macro NoXP "optionset noxp 1"
To turn XP on:
/macro XP "optionset noxp 0" -

Quote:Gotcha. A badge that can't be earned like the flashback accolade. I really wish the people that pigg dive wouldn't assume that badge art in the files means that a badge exists.Praetorian Tourist was a badge someone came up with and included in the I18 badge listing on Paragonwiki.
My guess is someone "magically" found it and assumed it would become a live badge at some point.
Edit:
I moved it to the talk page because it wasn't an Issue 18 badge (could not be earned by anyone), and it isn't a valid Issue 19 badge either (still cannot be earned to my knowledge). -
Quote:None of the Praetorian Moral Choice arcs were in Issue 19 beta. Nobody, including Praetorians that came up "short" on morality arcs can flashback to them. I still expect them to be added at some point. Also, I think until Praetorians get their own Mender and morality flashbacks, we still won't be able to get:
- Avid Reader (may require some sort of Praetorian Mender story arc, like the ones to get the Hero/Villain tutorial badges?)
- Moral High Ground (would require Praetorian arc flashbacks)
- Loyalist (same)
- Resistance Member (same)
I haven't got a clue as to what badge you are talking about here.Quote:- Praetorian Tourist (surprised that this isn't awarded for Primal Earther visiting Praetoria, but then again it is a Ouroboros badge - still not sure how to get this).
You can only get the arc for your side. However, by reports, you can join someone on the other side if you are a vigilante or rogue. -
Well, the good news is my Ill/Emp is back to being a Rogue.

I should be there fairly shortly after Issue 19 goes live.

I'm going to be turning my villainous controller rogue today in anticipation of Issue 19, if that says anything.

Quote:No.Wll being a Rogue affect my badge collecting (or indeed any other aspect of the gameplay) in Praetoria? -

That would be something that I, personally, don't want to happen in either case (lose keybinds or control of the 3D environment).

Quote:Your menus will likely crash the GUI:I was working on my own badge menu when I ran across this post. I decided to go ahead and finish mine, and thought I would share.
I have combined lots of info from a lot of different sources (badge-hunter, paragonwiki, vidiotmaps) onto it.
Quote:I just discovered that recently to. These things can cause your keyboard to lose control of the 3D environment:
1. Using the default .mnu or a popmenu to call up another popmenu
2. going 5 submenus deep (very rarely even going 4 submenus deep)
3. bad formating in your .mnu (mission quotes and that sort of thing).
The interesting thing is that even though you lose control of the 3D environment, you can still control the 2D GUI. -

Quote:The Monster Island divider was a mistake. The divider for the Abyss just separates the old badges from the new.Ooooh, just saw something interesting...
From the Dividers you put in "The Abyss" and "Monster Island" Exploration menus does that mean that there are going to be Villain Group Teleport Beacons to those zones?!?
The explores section is 4 levels deep in your version so the menu takes up most of my 1280x1024 screen. If I use it on the top corner of my screen (to the bottom left of the target window), the explores reach down to my power trays in the bottom left of the screen. Besides getting close to crashing the UI (remember the warning not to go too many levels deep?), it is hard to read. So I've split the explores into their own menu.Quote:How so? Any ideas to make it better? Is it just that are there just so many of them? Does it take too much to get down to the badges you need to find?
I've had to section off the Vet Rewards into years because it also is too long and overlaps my other GUI elements.
Yeah, try that without a Vidiot Maps update.Quote:I generally don't use the BadgeReporter for finding the Exploration Badges, just for a quick peek at which ones I don't have which is why I hadn't bothered to put in LOCs for them in the first place. Vidiot Maps work much better for me to find the badges, except for the rare few troublesome ones.
The count should have been around 1196. There might be 2 "extra" locked options in that list. -
Quote:It is the Vigilante Morality mission in the 40-50 range. If there isn't a list of tip missions, could someone just tell me what Doc Quantum says to you after you defeat him? It was the Vigilante Morality mission in the 45-50 range called something like "Defeat the nefarious Ghost Widow" or whatever.
The mission you are looking for is:

I've been on a team where 3 Illusionists "tanked" Ghost Widow with PA, and did the same with Recluse shortly after. I'm not completely sure of the Master aspect, but I know the STF will be completed.
