Terrible. Can't create new toons, my old toons can't cross over yet, heroes can't access villain epics without doing the mission, and the only people not doing GR on Freedom seem to be the jerks of the server.
Overall nothing to do today. -
Most useless power ever. The hero stances literally look like a stick is being inserted up your butt too. I stopped breathing shortly after the emotes started animating. The villain ones are nice.
The Omega aura is pretty good, but I have no clue if I'll ever use the Alpha aura, I'd have to make a character specifically for it to see any use.
Overall I'm pretty unimpressed with this pack. Oh well.
I would say GR makes up for that, but I can't currently create any new characters on either of my home servers either so I can't really experience GR in the first place. -
Quote:That's true to an extent, not all of Freedom is anti-social farmers, just the most vocal are./agree
Many people on low-pop servers tend to be quite social, at least within their groups / global channels.
The anti-social ones all run to Freedom where they can sit around and wait for others to do all the work for them.
If you go stand under Atlas on Freedom expecting the "SEE ME" types who stand around for hours to actually befriend you your global will be empty for a long time.
We used to have really friendly people in Atlas on Freedom, but they all quit the game years ago. The last to leave was Joe, he always helped newbies, and you could trust him to do trades for you.
There are some folks who try to be nice by offering to PL you though which just makes me cringe. Lately many Freedomites moved away from farming and started doing missions again so it's a really fun server that gets a bad wrap from a vocal minority of players who are rude to people. -
Not that I want the servers merged or anything but that picture proves absolutely nothing. A one day spike on the day of release doesn't reveal what the future holds.
The servers have all been green for a long time now.
These loads could last less than a week. Most of these new and returning folks just hop from new thing to new thing with no intention of staying after the new and shiny wears off. -
This is a really annoying issue. Brand new sets come out and I can't play them on either of my home servers. Now I'm stuck on some server I don't play.

My dark/dark tank is only 22 so take this with a grain of salt, but I think that's a lot of work for something you don't really need.
My tank grabs aggro like a sponge for better or worse. Luckily I can heal myself to full with the touch of a button.
Haven't needed fear or a stun to help at all. They're icing on an already very sugary cake.
I personally wouldn't waste my time trying to use only one form of mitigation on a tank with so many tools available. -
Quote:It would be a choice so the inconvenience was agreed upon. Not like it's being forced on anyone.Level pacted people have to have synchronized amounts of xp. Note how when a level 1 pacts with a level 5, the level 5 stop gaining xp ENTIRELY until the level 1 catches up. Say this happens with a level 35 and a level 40 toon trying to pact; leaving the lvl 40 toon not gaining any xp until the 35 catches up might be inconvenient.
-
Recently I met someone I like teaming with but he's on more often than I am so he's already 5 levels ahead of me in just a few days.
We started some alts with a pact, but we both prefer playing the toons we're currently working on.
I just don't see why we couldn't form a pact on the toons we already have considering we're within 5 levels of each other.
What would it hurt to be able to pact at any level as long as you're within 5 levels of each other? I don't understand the restriction. -
Anything goes in comics and I have plenty of heroes that look(and act) like villains.
-
Oh good I thought I was just doing it wrong. Apparently a lot of people are having this problem.
-
I spent around 2 hours just for the thrill of being in a contest.
-
It's almost the 24th now anyway. Only a few more hours and we'll all be mutants.
-
oh my god.
The winners have magic fingers. -
OMG this makes me feel like I type so slow.
-
It could've just been the forum I was posting at doing it and I assumed that Firefox did it.
-
-
I remember Firefox reloading tabs on it's own at one point. I guess that got rid of it and I just never noticed.
-
I think I used up all my luck on the original beta(was so excited cause it was 2nd wave) for the game because I haven't gotten into a beta for CoH since.
Actually I haven't gotten into any betas for the past few years now. I used to get into everything. Go figure. -
Quote:That's awesome, I didn't know that. I shop at Microcenter anyway, gonna have to check out their cards. I just use my debit card for everything(I hate carrying cash and checks are even worse) so I never really looked at the prices for time cards.I have been stuff around here to buy us each a time card per month. 20 bucks at microcenter gets a 60 day card. So that is 40 for 2 months play for 2 people.
You're right about not knowing the whole story though, but the occasional months where I end up flat broke from overspending I usually cut off non-essentials for the month.
I'll just shut up now though cause I wasn't trying to offend, I'm just a huge Scrooge McDuck with my pennies so I thought I was being helpful. -
Quote:I feel stupid because I totally forgot I have that LOL!this is one of those moments in which i wish i had windows 7, simply because of that double window thing they added to it, that allows to windows to be viewed at the same time.
it wouldn't surprise me if those who won are using windows 7....
to see the code page.. and have your account open.. to look and type it at the same time without having to switch pages....
Still too tired of staring at those tabs to get back in this now though. -
Quote:If a dollar is so precious then how are you able to waste $15 a month not counting internet(cable or dsl) to play an online game?No one in my house is working, and we can barely keep our house. Even a dollar is precious to us a this point. I cannot simply go waste 10 dollars for this like others who money is not a big thing for.
I don't think the one time fee of $10 is the problem, bud. -
Quote:That's why I chose to give up. Losing a day of playing time and stressing myself out over something I can just buy tomorrow. If the want is there that badly, why not just put the mutant pack on the store and continue to do the contest for those that want to try for it for free? Yes, I know it's to get it early. Two an hour is a long time to wait for a chance. I could be playing CoH.
The cons outweigh the pros imo. $10 is chump change. -
I got bored and wasn't even looking. I give up.
Been staring at 3 tabs for well over an hour now.
I'll just buy it tomorrow. Good luck to those still in it! -
Cheer up, we can buy it tomorrow anyway.
