I think Posi's going for [censored] em off badge, which unlocks the Farmer smasher Accolade
-
Think my one example for not liking farmers, would be the fact of how many farming mission there were on M.A, how many different ways can you farm why didn't they just name one Rinse and REpeat and all got on with that one, instead it left loads of peoples time and effort lost in the infinite of them.

Hiya Sing, and welcome to forums.
Catchya on a TF again in the near future. -
Keeping in line with the game
XP should be halved in M.A your going into combat with a simulation, not taking on foes in paragon, may not seem alot of differance in-game but keeping in line for what M.A contacts tell you it is.
No Infamy/influence for defeating foes, again M.A is a simulation to the real paragon, how can you gain Inf for defeating simulated foes.
Tickets should only be allowed to purchase unlockable content for the M.A only.
If that dosen't stop the farmers, devs hold your hands up and withdraw and hit the delete button on the M.A folder on your way out. -
Been here since day 1, and they will have to drag me kicking and screaming before I go, and I will grab things on my way out and go
in their general direction.
-
Count me in, will bring Area 53 Sonic/Pain corruptor is 49 now but maybe 50 by tomorrow either way i'll be there.

Well, I don't think it's really anybody else's fault other than yours that you replayed an arc. You might wanna take some time to remember that you've played this before.

Why should I have to remember what I've done if one of the search features does that for me, might as well not have the search engine. -
I think the reason for 31 days, is basically without shouting out and begging people to try your missions you can have probably no one looking at your missions, and really the only way to start out getting noticed is by date order, which at the moment will only last about 5 minutes before your mission gets lost again in the infinite amount.
-
But you can publish 3 at any one time so you can have you two parter or even make a tri, but after they are published you can't touch em for 31 days.
And Xem mate tweaking things isn't that what test is there for?
You can get someone to join you on test to tweak if you want someone else is input, without having to publish.
I normally go for missions on date preference, and put on serarch filter to knock out previous completed missions, I did a mission the other day and got a big case of de ja vu, yep you guessed it somone had unpublished and republished ,thus my search filter has become null and void and ended up repeating someones mission instead of trying someone else's. -
I feel something needs to curb the amount of missions that keep popping up.
I suggest putting a 31 day limit on published missions,
I.E once you publish something you can't touch it for 31 days. -
I may return to watching paint dry myself
-
Does that work Cynic, going back through the updater?

Maybe the thread title should have been
Servers down.............................................. ...

.............................................I14 coming up! -
Can anyone else imagine all the devs laughing their heads off down the pub and having drinking competitions to see who was gonna have to come back to switch the servers on.
-
I going for a long shot here and going for 18:04 for server up time.
-
Internal testing seems to be over, what that means I have no idea

It won't replace devs - though it may mean that they only produce really good/unique content as any old fool can produce 'normal' missions.

Yes this is the other side to the coin, we can only hope -
Have they doubled the dev team just for CoH or is this for all their franchises?
-
Evening all,
I am like the rest of you it seems eagerly awaiting MA, but I am just wondering if other people have concerns such as I do about M.A.
1. With I14 seeming to be just M.A I should imagine when it goes live hordes of people going to create there missions ( how long this process takes is unknown to me atm) what will this mean for the rest that don't want to create missions.
With player base being low now this will strech someone trying to find a team to possibly nil, will these people just leave?
2.Does anyone else feel that the introduction of M.A is the start of making CoH self sufficent and possibly making dev s redundant.
Bringing out M.A now and for the next few issues concentrating on upgrading and adding some extra bits to it could mean no more new content from the devs.
These are just a couple of things that I'm worried about.
Do you agree?
Or can you settle the ticking bomb that is my mind and appease me -
Mission Architect good or bad thing? not quite decided myself I can see peoples views of it from both sides of the coin.
One thing I do feel about MA is that it has most prob come at a wrong time, what with all the commotion with brighton I could see people getting very concerned for the state of the game and bringing out an issue that basically says you deal with your own content rather then us have to come up with new stuff (i.e. Tf's, content for villians, new AT's etc.) will hold doubts for some people.
But on a plus side there will be endless hours of being able to put our stamps into the game, also quite a few badges to keep badgers busy for sometime.
But alas with any plus there's always has to be a negative somewhere along the line, and can see people views on the low numbers on servers being lessened by people creating missions, this will need some addressing imo as you can create as many missions as you like but if there is no one on to play them it will be a big waste of time, I think how long it will take to create there missions will be a big factor, if you can knock a mish up in a couple of hrs I can't see it being a problem, but if it takes people upto a month to get everything right in their mishes they could find themselves publishing there mission to a handful of people who themselves have being creating mishes, as everyone else has gone to other mmo's that is more populated by people playing the game than inventing stuff for it.
So after wittering on about the pluses and the minuses I am back where I started and still unsure about this issue.
Guess I'll do what I normally do.
Patience is a virtue and I have plenty of it. -
Will be up for this omega, if you could stick me down for the blue team with my warshade Area 51, is primarily used in nova form and built for ranged damage.
