I like this base too, it does have lots of personality. Not cluttered, nice clean look. 2 questions though: 1) WHAT IS THAT THING on the left side of the computer room, looks reall cool. I WANT ONE!
2) In the infirmary, is the thing with all the arms an Auto-Doc? You have to get 500k healing points in SG mode to get this, no? I WANT ONE OF THOSE TOO!!!
Seriously, nice, clean base. Lots of personality, especially the telepads in the walls, I like that. I'm going to post some of my upgrade soon, probably after the holidays.

Yeah it's a mission computer and it serves no purpose just for show.
The auto-doc is 5mill healing points in sg mode. Luckily my old sg ldr asked us all to make emps when bases first came out. Didn't understand why, but now I do.
The recessed TPs I saw on this thread and used the idea. The problem is u loose alot of real estate doing it, but its so nice not having to jump,go up ladder and it just looks cleaner. I try to keep all my floors lvl. Thanks for comments.

Got the mission computernow to start working on the healing badge. I've got an emp that I truely like to play, lvl 14 atm and I just got him some insect wings at WW. Is there any sort of progress meter that lets you know how far along you are?

With this Xmas prestige grant I bit the bullet and got the 12x12 plot. Soo much space for one lil guy, but oh wellI'm nowhere near as creative as some of you guys (DCP,McG) This is kinda the limit of my creativity. The only thing I was really shooting for was all 21 beacons/telepads recessed into the wall. Cause I hate stairs and the beacons up high are annoying trying to see. So whithout further ado the Warriorz new stomping ground.

* Leader or Recruiting Officers: @SkyRocker
* Preferred Method of contact: ingame email or tell, this forum PM
* Guild Description: At this moment we are a small SG, but looking to grow. At the moment we have no rules, regulations, meetings, SG colors, etc. I would like those things to be developed by the membership.
RP friendly, but not mandatory. If you do, fine, if you don't, that's fine too.
We have a base with a Rez Ring, 1 Telepad (currently set to Kings Row and Steel Canyon for easy access to Yellow Line and Pocket D and the Green Line), and an invention table w/ invention Vault to avoid the crowds (and lag) at the universities. We also have enhancement, inspiration, and base salvage storage.
Even if you are the type that mostly solos you would still have access to the Telepad for zone hopping, you could rez in the base for quick access back to your mish and grab some inspirations or enhancements, or even the often used sg calling, gotta go excuse to get out of a bad PuG.
We are also coalitioned with another SG with base access to all zones, even the RWZ!
But rest assured, you will *never* be required to do anything. No demands that you join a certain group, or drop everything and go to a meeting, or play in SG mode for the prestige.
Decisions will be made by the group, and anything involving base expansion and/or prestige means that the more prestige that you generate, the more of a say so you have in how its used.
From level 1-24 playing in SG mode has no impact so it only makes sense to generate it through those levels, after that its an individual decision.
So if youd like to join an SG with all of the benefits, but none of the restrictions, send a tell to @SkyRocker or visit our website, and come grow with us and make War and Peace the SG that you WANT it to be.
So if you're looking for a super active group, right now this isn't it. Every group had to start somewhere, so this is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor.
New to the game and need to learn? Been in SG's before and got lost in the shuffle, or just didn't like the way things were run?

So have the devs said anything official about not making any more clix or is this just what we assume? Cause I like playing heroclix but have no interest in all those other indy characters... so if there are no more city of heroclix made then i'll be stuck with an 8 heroclix collection.
I mean it would be so easy to just sort them out into like freedom phalanx, vanguard, arachnos faction, etc. Then give them stats. They could even take stuff straight from their badges... freedom phalanx clixs could heal 1 damage on themselves once per game (10% increased life badge) etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
Haven't heard anything about CoX clix, but there's a new MarvelScape game out featuring clix of Marvel characters. Probably be as close as we'll get. -

Inspirations cannot be crafted at this time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok. One of the newer people in my SG was asking for something in the base that "sold" inspirations. We already have an inspiration collector so I thought he was asking for something that would allow him to get any insp's he needed, not just the ones we had in the collector...
Thanks for clearing that up. -

So, uh, anyone know what the numbers are for the tier 2 and tier 3 empowerment stations are?
Or if they stack?
Edit:
Oh I found them. LOL. 17 components for 5% psy resistance. What the hell.

I'd like to know if there's a list of what salvage makes what insp's and also, does this thing make "normal" enhancements?
Thanks! -

Very nice ideas all of you! I'll put some up of my small VG soon as I get home and get photobucket going. What I'd like to know is how in the world did you raise the floor level in your secret entrances? I've tried numerous times and the editor just won't respond. It will anywhere else in the base, but not the secret entrance. I want to raise the floor where the porter beam is, like many of you have done.
[/ QUOTE ]
Make sure that nothing, including the portal, is touching the section you want to raise. Move the portal to another part of the room, raise the floor, then move the portal to the raised section
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I'll flipping be! Six months of playing this game and two managing my own VG and I had no idea that the portal could be moved. LOL What made me think it was fixed in place is beyond me. Thank you very much!
[/ QUOTE ]
Took me a while to figure that out myself! I'm getting ready to tear everything down and build it up from scratch (just need to set some time aside) so I'm probably going to be learning some new stuff myself! -

Preferred Method of Contact: You can contact me in tells, or through ingame mail, or a forum PM, or the website.
Guild Description: We're a new SuperGroup. Currently `we` are comprised of myself and my alts. We're going to take recruiting slowly, too often a Group grows too large too fast, and they lose sight of who each other is, and who the group as a whole is, where they wish to be as a group, and how to get there.
The intent here is to have a diverse group of people who would be interested in a variety of goals, so we can reach for any of them. I also hope to provide a home for some of the folks who have "odd" playtimes, or even those who prefer to solo but would like the comfort and convienence of a Base. Most days I play during the early evenings (Eastern Standard Time), and I find that during those hours you find people who are either not part of a SG or who have almost no contact with their SG, because everyone else is playing during Prime Time. This could be a good home for you if you're in that situation.
Currently the group is focusing on PVE but eventually I hope to get the group to where PVP will be a viable option, though I'm not sure if that would be our focus, it would, in the end, depend upon what direction the group wanted to go.
Entry guidelines are kind of fast and loose, send a tell, post here or on the website, PM me, etc and youre in. The direction the group takes will be dependent on the membership. This will always be a democracy with decisions based on a majority vote. We do recommend running in Supergroup mode until lvl 24, as it has no impact on your character, and will help to build a nice base with storage and telepads . After 24, its an individual decision, no pressure, but any requests that involve prestige (adding/modifying base, for example) require that youve generated at least SOME prestige.
Right now our base consists of a workshop, Rez Ring, with a Telepad on the way.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -

Use the in-game print screen function (usually the printscreen key).
In your cityofheroes folder (where the game is stored on your computer), there will be a "screenshots" directory where all the screenshots go.
Take the picture you want and post it on an image hosting site like photobucket or imageshack, or your own webspace, etc.
Finally link to where you've put the picture.
Edited to add links.

Seconded. I used photobucket, and it took about 5 minutes to setup an account, and 5 more to upload the base pics. -

This is our villain base, for the villain group Eurostar on Champion. We're about as small as you can get, only one teleporter and one workshop. We should scale down to an oversight room, but I'm not the guy in charge of base building so I've left that much alone.

I never even HEARD of HeroClix before I got HeroScape. I thought that it would be something that my 9 year old and I would enjoy. Problem is we have a rather small house (in the process of buying a new home now) and have to setup on the kitchen table, and also my son lives with my ex-wife through the week and I get to see him from like noon on saturdays until 4 or so on sunday afternoons and we try to cram a lot of stuff into those 26 hours. Spending and hour to setup the game and then play takes a lot of time. In the new house I'm going to probably have a more or less permanent "game room" where I can set that up, along with our HO slot car set, and we'll probably play a lot more often.
Anyway, we don't really play the complicated version, we basically just use the movement and standard attacks to start with, I didn't want to scare him off or make it too complex at first. I'd like to get more figures that he's familiar with (CoX, Marvel, DC, etc) because I think that he'd find THEIR special attacks a lot easier to relate to...
BTW, when IS the Marvel edition of Heroscape coming out?
[ QUOTE ]
I've never really liked HeroClix, but I'm a huge fan of Heroscape. I've had my CoV DVD figures eagerly waiting for the release of Marvel Legends Heroscape so I can transfer them into that game. Heroscape is just awesome though, with so much variety and such straightforward mechanics. In a lot of ways it reminds me of what drew me into CoH. A huge variety of genres and game mechanics that were very easy to learn and teach my friends. It's definitely a game for people who haven't played tactical war miniture games, much like how CoH was a game for people who don't play MMOs.
Setting up the game board isn't too much of a hassle until you decide you want a massive 2-5 set board to play on. There's really nothing out there quite like a huge Heroscape map outside of handcrafted GW terrain though.
