Quote:I'll have to play around with that some too. Thank you.Actually, i've found that you can do most emotes with a weapon drawn if you have Ninja Run toggled on.
As for this emote, I was able to get it to work and I think I may have found a demo coding system that fixes the issue of it disappearing. It worked with this so I'll have to test it out on some other demos. I'm hoping I can solve this issue. =-D -
I'm going over these MOVs so much and yet I can't see how you got that imagine of Statesman looking at his arm like that. All of these have the arms straight... And with the second one, he has wind blowing out of his behind... lol

Quote:I have certain problems with the demo file itself. I normally use Balshor's demo editor. I'm used to it now after years of use. But my SG base which I recorded the demo in, is so massive that the editor actually corrupts the file if I use it.VIP!
And yeah, I was just messing with editing these files to create a guy doing that MOV with the guns out... and it's not been working. Even though the original one that I took did work.
Bah...
If it works for you... try going in and doing the ALAKAZAMREACT emote, hit the guns while as the object and see if you can get something from it.
You are right... the beast is sometimes fickle...
Either that or I am missing something, hehe...
Anyway, was just patrolling and putting off doing something afk and saw your post. I know how it gets trying to finish up a project, so I figured I'd try and save you a few brain cells, hehe.
As such, I have to go in manually, using the editor as a filter of sorts. The coding is different I find it. There is no time numbering which I am used to. I can't simply retake the demo either. The shot is part of two frames. Same camera angle and position, only this one character changes his MOV. -
Quote:It might work sometimes but unfortunately, the code is fickle and simply removing the fxdestroy command doesn't always fix my problems lol. It's been awhile but I'm pretty sure all you have to do is demorecord yourself drawing your weapons and then doing any emote. replace your emote with EK's Danger Sense and then you'll need to find and remove FXdestory. Fxdestroy is going to be listed between the weapons draw and the emote. ONce FXdestroy is removed all emotes will work with weapons drawn.
If that don't make sense I can go into more detail.
I am also partially in shock at getting 5 replies already. So I have to ask, are the two of you VIP or unpaid accounts? -
First off, yes I know this is normally meant for the multi-media section but that section is almost completely dead as I think most of the people who used to post there are free/premium now and my last attempts at seeking help went unanswered, so...
I'm looking for the demo command for a specific MOV.
The motion is like when you jump out of a truck and are looking around. Its also like when you do the "/e peerin" emote, but instead of looking inside, its just the part where you are looking side to side.
The difference also is, I need the demo file that works when holding a weapon. Specifically the duel wielding hand guns.
I'm really hoping someone can help me as I am on the final scene of my issue 9 of my comic.

Quote:I think the rules became even more rigid at that point. I remember emotes not working with all these long before that one too. Way back when our squiddies would do that floating snake dance glitch. That's what I thought!
I think it might have been around the time of Shields, either when they came out or when they were trying to make it work with more emotes... I could be wrong about either of those, but that's what the voices are telling me right now.
It was after we got all the different sit emotes, I know that as well. Because when all the different bench sits and stool sits came out, there was this glitch that would make you hover in the air. You'd have to do the emote a second time to reposition yourself. While it may have bothered some, it was actually really cool since you could do the emote and within 2 or 3 tries you were almost perfectly sitting in whatever seat you were going for. I prefered that. It may not have been as smooth the first try but at least it would eventually work for any character.
Then they took that away and with it, the ability to keep weapons out while emoting...Sigh... those were the days...

Quote:There was a time when they all would, even if it looked like the character wasn't holding the weapon. I forget which issue took it away but I was very sad. And it made my hobby of making comic using the CoH game engine that much harder...Hmm, Lecture might give you that same (or similar) pose as in that shot there.
Possibly Talk, as well.
Maybe Yourewelcome.
This, however, I am uncertain. I don't have many weapon-using characters and I was surprised recently by how many emotes cannot be used with a weapon out (not even by drawing the weapon while in the act of emoting).
A photoshop job may be easiest for placing the weapon in hand, with such a pose. -

Thank you.
Well I was kind of hoping to use a live emote rather than a demo edit. Would save me a whole lot of time.
Are these able to be activated via the emote options or the "/e" command?
If there isn't an emote that is available, I'll use this in demo editing. Thank you again. -
Just like the title says.
The type of emote I am looking for is for the character to be looking at his right arm or hand. Maybe even one where he looks at the weapon in his right arm, like a gun or whatnot.
Does anyone know of an emote where at some point during the duration of it, even for a second, it looks like that?
Would greatly appreciate it as I'm working on my comic and need this very much so.

Quote:I was looking for the PnP game for the longest time until I realized it was canceled. I would have bought it.Yep. One of many things that was dropped along the wayside. At least it got farther than the PnP RPG. Seem to remember a contest for a player character getting made into one of the cards, too.
And the card game, I looked for it everywhere but couldn't find a single vendor that sold it. These things could have be great if marketing was better. I mean they could have at least let us buy it or linked us to someplace where we could buy it via the coh.com website.

The MOV "TRUCK_JUMP_IN 0" is used for jumping into van's that are doors to missions or zones in game.
The thing about this is you become translucent almost right away. Does anyone know of another emote like this where you don't phase out right away? -

I'm on those channels and haven't found them. I'm coal'ed with their SGs but no responses in coal chat either.

Omega Sector and high members like Capt Stronghold and Omega?
The Department of interdimensional defense, aka DoIDDs?
The LORDS OF CHAOS and Bleyzen Lord?
And anyone else who may have teamed and played a lot with me, aka Sin Stalker back in 06 and 07 on Justice?
I'm finishing up my next issue of my comic and its cameo time, one during a police arrest and passers-by and then a funeral scene. If you are any of these people or can at least let them know to global message me at @Sin Stalker, that would be fantastic!
Thank you.

So I mapservered and when I logged back in, all my characters show their location as "Map: Unknown" and when I select one, it kicks me out to the login and says "Cannot find map!"
Anyone else having this issue?

I am doing a shot where this character loses his arm. I have him laying on the ground right in front of the camera laying on his right side, avoiding the sight of his right arm.
I have a copy of him on the left side of the camera as well.
The plan is to have the arm of the second guy outstretched where its into the shot and only the arm.
The problem is I am having trouble finding an emote that has the right arm far enough away from the body. I don't care about the position of the body as I can easily move the PYR and POS so that only the arm appears.
I've noticed that sometimes, while taking screen shots, some characters will do this strange MOV where they become a giant T, with both arms outstretched and the legs completely straight. I was wondering if this is an actual MOV available because I can't seem to find it anywhere?
Besides that one MOV, does anyone know of a good MOV that has the right arm away from the body enough for me to use? -
Quote:Again, you don't have to test your code for this, it already exists ingame and is a quick click method really. And then watch as 20 completely unrelated bugs pop up cause NC doesn't test their code.
You copy and past Echo Galaxy. You then change the title. Then in the location part of the code, you delete Echo Galaxy's zone codes and copy and past in Echo Faultline. Done.
My point and I guess "'nough wasn't said" lol is that all the main reason to be against this don't exist. So people are just against it to be against it.
Money - Its cost effect. Adds features and a zone into a game for the lowest amount possible. The only thing that would take just as long, (if not longer sometimes) would be descriptions for missions, characters, etc, which this doesn't have.
Time - Again, it all, already exists so time is extremely minimal.
Knowledge and effort. Again, its just copy and pasting.
So you haven't actually given a justifiable issue against this. :P -
We have a good amount of upper arm options that are robotic skeletal arms and hands and even a robotic claw. We even have a more robotic skeletal torso with the preatorian clockwork.
Why do we not have robotic skeletal legs? The closest thing is in the monsterous area. -
Quote:The Crash site was more of a retcon. Old Faultline was an amazing work of art. The problem was, at the low level you were at when you got the zone, made you easily killed and not fun to get around.Probably never. Like Dread said, badges played a huge part in keeping the old zones. That and people loved the old Dark Astoria and how it conveyed it's sense of horror, so it's a no brainer it would get the Echo treatment. Old Faultline, though, isn't something I think I've ever heard anyone else clamoring to want to revisit. Much like the Rikti Crash Site, which is why we don't have an Echo of it, either.
Besides, its an easy add, unlike a lot of whats requested. All the code already exists and is used currently. Just another beacon named Echo Faultline connecting to the map and there ya go, bob's-your-uncle.
The most time consuming thing would be selecting what you'd want the beacon picture to be lol. It could be coded and added in like 10 minutes. Maybe less. -

Quote:A server where a Infinity, Exiled, Freedom, or Etc player can jump on to and interact with players from other servers. Even start fights with groups from other servers. PvP Players happen have a special place where they can go kick booty. The Small number on the servers warrants it. Multi versus server where a Infinity play can play with a exiled without transferring there chars or having start a new char. and make the gains less on the milti server like 25% what they are on home servers.
The point of exalted is to not play with free players.
Besides that, it would be nice if we had a common zone but the naming system in the game would have to be altered and fixed. That's a lot of code. Would be nice though.
