Looking for a good emote. Please help

Just like the title says.

The type of emote I am looking for is for the character to be looking at his right arm or hand. Maybe even one where he looks at the weapon in his right arm, like a gun or whatnot.

Does anyone know of an emote where at some point during the duration of it, even for a second, it looks like that?

Would greatly appreciate it as I'm working on my comic and need this very much so.

One of these two emotes might work

CLOCKWORK_NPC_PATROL_MALFUNCTION_CYCLE
CLOCKWORK_STREETCLEAN_PRE

I used one of those emotes to get this picture of Statesman

Thank you.

Well I was kind of hoping to use a live emote rather than a demo edit. Would save me a whole lot of time.

Are these able to be activated via the emote options or the "/e" command?

If there isn't an emote that is available, I'll use this in demo editing. Thank you again.

Although, would this MOV work while holding a gun or a claw or something?

Anyway to execute that on a PC?

Hmm, Lecture might give you that same (or similar) pose as in that shot there.
Possibly Talk, as well.
Maybe Yourewelcome.

This, however, I am uncertain. I don't have many weapon-using characters and I was surprised recently by how many emotes cannot be used with a weapon out (not even by drawing the weapon while in the act of emoting).

A photoshop job may be easiest for placing the weapon in hand, with such a pose.

Animated gifs of most emotes in the game are located here or here.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

There was a time when they all would, even if it looked like the character wasn't holding the weapon. I forget which issue took it away but I was very sad. And it made my hobby of making comic using the CoH game engine that much harder...

This is cool. I'm gonna add a link to the comic index for use in making comic. Thank you.

That's what I thought!
I think it might have been around the time of Shields, either when they came out or when they were trying to make it work with more emotes... I could be wrong about either of those, but that's what the voices are telling me right now.

I think the rules became even more rigid at that point. I remember emotes not working with all these long before that one too. Way back when our squiddies would do that floating snake dance glitch.

It was after we got all the different sit emotes, I know that as well. Because when all the different bench sits and stool sits came out, there was this glitch that would make you hover in the air. You'd have to do the emote a second time to reposition yourself. While it may have bothered some, it was actually really cool since you could do the emote and within 2 or 3 tries you were almost perfectly sitting in whatever seat you were going for. I prefered that. It may not have been as smooth the first try but at least it would eventually work for any character.

Then they took that away and with it, the ability to keep weapons out while emoting... Sigh... those were the days...

I'm going over these MOVs so much and yet I can't see how you got that imagine of Statesman looking at his arm like that. All of these have the arms straight... And with the second one, he has wind blowing out of his behind... lol

Actually, i've found that you can do most emotes with a weapon drawn if you have Ninja Run toggled on.

Dr. Todt's theme.

I'll have to play around with that some too. Thank you.

As for this emote, I was able to get it to work and I think I may have found a demo coding system that fixes the issue of it disappearing. It worked with this so I'll have to test it out on some other demos. I'm hoping I can solve this issue. =-D
