I personally liked today when we (2 MM's, A Stalker and a Corruptor) were accused of ruining the game by staying near the base whilst 11 other heroes pounded us. (Including one doing the old 'Bomb the Hospital' bug that was petitioned back in I6).

Something that drives me nuts that. And even when pushed right up as close as they can, if you drone them its a torrent on abuse over broadcast.
[/ QUOTE ]
It only drives you nuts if you actually care what they say.

It does annoy you when they pin your MM/Corr/Dom in the hospital and are unable to leave the zone without Pocket D. -
Got to say I probably won't be finishing in Nov as well, need 5,000 words a day to do it and don't have the energy with work as well, but I'll keep pushing.
On a side note, a little story.
Having bust open my shoe today and finishing work 40 minutes before my bus was due, I popped in for a drink. As I was clambering the stairs with my pint, the shoe caught and I nearly went flying into a group of people.
Heading over to my seat, I listened in and heard one person say "500 words in a day isn't much really..." and decided to talk to them.
Bing! Another Nano person. We chatted the rest of the time before I had to leave and promised to look each others stories up.

Never get rid of a character until you see how she plays.
Demon hunters are rather cliche though, so you'll need a good hook for her to really shine.
Good characters really need to find their feet; even the greatest ones come out halfbaked to start with. -
Ninja's just need a little more thought. A good ninja team can shred Granite far faster than the others. Especially with Dark/Traps.
-
When he calls you a noob, ask him what he must be to be beaten by just a noob.
Be nice though, that really annoys them. -

I've only ever met one before and I can't remember who that was now either.
Not that I'm currently playing as my internet connection broke three weeks ago. Stoopid BT....

AFAIK, Noir and Duckdee are in the immediate area. -
Always good to see another Leicester player here Fault

One scrapper leapt into the middle of 3 (static) Masterminds today and got handed one. They then called us gankers.
Really. If you can't play the game, stay out of the zone. -

A tank focused on attacking seems to me as useful to a team as a blaster focused on healing. Sure it's a nice bonus, but not the way to take the best of the AT imo
[/ QUOTE ]Blasters don't have a secondary with 8 healing powers though.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, then as an empath focused on blasting
[/ QUOTE ]A good empath in a good team only needs to apply fort, AB and RA's when they're up, as well as few heals and CM's here and there, there's a lot free time there which can be used to focus on blasting
[/ QUOTE ]
That depends on the level of the mission as well. A con red mish will need more healing than a con blue. -

I could see the Hamidon, but I couldn't click on him to hit him, owing to my first ever case of bad lag

That's not how it was reported, but then you can't just believe everything people say without experience, that would be just insane. -
Keep at it Stase
You can help me with mine when you're done

Possibly because you're never looking further than your next facetious comment? A little bird tells me that your vision of Hami is rather blurred as well... -

What the Hell is a Blapper or a Scranker?? Are we to have a defroller or a Scrafender??
[/ QUOTE ]
I could have been a Cont-Ender
Characters are usually defined by their 'original purpose'.
Blasters, Controllers, Defenders : Ranged Squishies that damage/lock/heal.
Tankers : Melee Meat Shield
Scrappers : Melee Boss Killer.
Despite all characters having abilities that allow them to do things other than that; some people that haven't played the AT's look on them for that purpose. Hence the sub-AT's of Blapper (Blaster with Melee), Blaptroller(Blaster with Melee Holds), Scranker (Tank who Damages or Scrapper who soaks damage), Offender (Defender with Ranged Damage) etc.
The sub-AT's define your playing style if it differs from the 'norm.'.
But, as is plainly obvious, referring to a Defender as Heal-Bot, especially if Kin or Rad will get a lot of backs up. Similar with Taunt Bot for Tanks; as long as you can keep aggro from the squishies; you're doing your AT's job. -
Work tomorrow, but more plot twists than a very twisty thing
And that's before the novel -
Where all should-be's come from. Players mouths who haven't played the character
-
PvP is a lot better without PvE. Heavies in RV are simply mega-damage bots and actually promote ganking as it's the only real way to take them out.
Give a man some inspirations and he can farm for a while, give him a heavy and he can farm for a lifetime. -
Some of the NaNo's are on 100k already...
Frightening. I'm still stuck on mid 10k, but some restdays coming up in which to panic write -
Tanks that can dish and take damage are often called Scrankers. Fire/Ice tanks do most of their damage through PBAOE's and hold damage in, so are most often referred to as 'Tankers', but the secondaries do allow for a lot of damage.
A Tankers main purpose is to hold damage in though, and keep it away from the stronger damage dealers, and supports. Actually doing damage is very much a secondary thought. Tankers damage attacks tend to divert away protecting the others, so it's often frowned upon.
Saying that, Blasters are supposed to be at range, Def/Con aren't meant to be in melee, so it's really whatever floats your boat.
A Tanker built purely to damage though is not utilising it's best strengths(Scrapper being more offensive for less slotting); therefore people who want a 'Tanker' often want it for it's defensive capabilities, so get annoyed when it wants to go offensive.
EM especially is a great offensive power set, so next time they ask, describe yourself as a Scranker and they'll get the message you like to belt a few mobs as well. -

Most disappointed, followed the link and found out they were Trumpton Fire brigade...when I have thought for ages that they were from Camberwick Green....my whole childhood memories are now destroyed...cries into his 4th beer

Ah but noThe area around Trumpton has Trumpton as the large city, Camberwick Green as the nearby town and Chigley as the village. There's often characters travelling between the two; Windy Miller's windmill is between Chigley and Camberwick Green, for example. If there ever was a fire...
