Argh! Why does Jester keep getting my name wrong!?
It's "seek". "Seeeeeek". -

Cesium Exposure - Which is a sleep duration SO... Cesium as in "cease moving" perhaps?

Elemental metal. Atomic number 55. Never, ever, mix with water! -

Joule also the Metric System (SI)'s unit of Energy, and isn't obscure at all. I believe the SI unit for Work is the Watt, but I'm a bit rusty.

If you use the metric system, the Skuls win.

Hey, I can't help it if you Americans are still stuck with the Imperial system while the rest of the world uses the much more intuitive and scientifically approved Metric system. But no, Metric has to be gone to the Americans! -

As fabulous as the conning colors are, we know not everyone can distinguish the differences between them. The arrows (up or down) are a redundant indicator so colorblind players can quicky tell how hard an enemiy will be.

That's what I said!
Cursed red names stealing my thunder... -

Well, Hermes in this case probably refers to Hermes Trismagestus, the aspect of the god Hermes associated with certain magical orders, like Crowley's Golden Dawn, if memory serves.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. Hermes 3 Meg is not associated with the caduceus, while the god Hermes is.

Which is also the reason Holm's creations are named Watt (his personal combat assistant / Targetting Drone) and Joulie (the paranoid andr... erm, hologram). Actually, Joulie is also named after a completely unrelated character in the now finished "fake" sprite comic Kid Radd. -

No one mentioned Doc Whedon's badge yet? Possibly a reference to Joss Whedon, though I don't know how much Comic Book work he'd done by the time the badge was added to Perez Park.
[/ QUOTE ]
Aside from the Buffy and Angel comics, I believe he's had a stint writing for X-Men.
Oh, and not watching Serenity when it comes out makes Tam and Mat cry. And baby Laser Jesus too. But mostly Tam and Mat. -
What are these "arrows" you're talking about? They seem to be related to con colour from what you describe, but I've never seen them.

Anyway, I'm studying Penny and I notice her t-shirt has a picture of Statesman on it. Cute.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh yeah. My video card wasn't working correctly when I first met her, and I still loved the shirt!
The shirt makes a reappearence as well, being worn by a taskforce contact in the Shadow Shard. -

Some visual in-jokes:
Face (Boomtown tileset)
Face (Lab tileset)
'This Way Up' Arrow?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure those are all coincidences, especially the faces. The upside-down crates in Council missions, on the other hand...
Oh, and I hope this isn't an inside reference. -
I have a strong feeling that's where Portacio came from, but "wetware" has long been programmer slang for the human mind, as opposed to hardware or software. Dictionary.com even has a listing for it.

I like anime and asparagus. Neither graces my avatar at the moment.
Besides, exactly what's coming is still a big mystery at the moment. I know there are a couple of options I'm really hoping are in there. -
I still think Peregrine Island needs a Maria Dock. (5 geek points to whoever gets that one.)

Yeah, as cool as that avatar is... nothin' beats The Bug.

The Star of Justice! -
Uh, you do realise CoH is being sued over stuff like this, right?

Probably because you've done it before, more or less.
Don't worry, you'll find out who's behind it soon enough. -
Telephone Killer Kills Three
Mysterious phone calls kill reporters
Janet Alvarez
Paragon Times
Three reporters, John Alcott and Eliza Johns from the Paragon Times and one reporter from Hypernews.com (name unreleased) were found dead today after answering a mysterious phone call. Although there were no eyewitnesses, all three bodies were found still clutching the phone reciever covered with massive burns, likely electrical in origin.
Police have refused to release further details pending investigation, but according to police spokesman Blue Steel they have not ruled out foul play.
"We suspect that this was an assassination attempt, although no connection has yet been found between the victims. We ugre citizens not to panic as they are not likely targets."
We at the Paragon Times express our deep sympathy at this tragedy. John and Eliza were well respected among their coworkers here, and they will be sorely missed. -
I got Evil Genius for christmas, and ended up uninstalling it. It wasn't because I didn't like it; on the contrary, it's a very fun game. However, it was just too easy to spend hours and hours on it without realising it, and I just felt so isolated without having buddies to chat with.
Thank you, Cryptic, for making a game that can truly leave me satisfied without destroying my life. -
A toast to the most friendly, accesible, and entertaining development team ever assembled! *Raises a glass of New Years champagne.*
I don't have much kudos, but I can give plenty of kupos! -
Very nice! Maybe I should link some of my supergroupies to this.
-
And suddenly, like Santa Claus after his work his done, Stateman has vanished without a trace.
Here's to you, Statesman! *Raises a glass of eggnog.* -

Too bad they didn't get it done for issue 3 like they were planning...
[/ QUOTE ]
We were? Wow. I had no idea!
[/ QUOTE ]
States? What are you doing working on the weekend?
Go home and have some eggnog. -
[ QUOTE ]
That really was a terrible article. Aside from the date thing, it was just... bad. Nobody proofread the thing at all, apparently.
Though I do hope Statesman wears that cape around the office, and walks around with his arms out going "Whooooosh!" That would officially make Crypic the best place ever to work.
[/ QUOTE ]
Come on States, you have to earn that cape!
Come on! Someone make him protect a cardboard "time capsule" while the rest of the development team throws nerf balls at him. -
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry to spoil the fun, guys, but that date is certainly not THE day. It all depends upon the bugs we squash and so forth. He asked "When's Issue 3 coming out?" and I said "Heck, a week? It all depends on the bugs." There's no set schedule, though next Tuesday would be nice.
[/ QUOTE ]
So he took you out of context? Figures.
Hopefully this isn't respresentative of Digital Entertainment News' game coverage. Sadly, it probably is. -

Spriga isn't north (well, north-ish) of Talos? I seem to recall that it was when I looked on the city map, but it's been awhile since I did.
[/ QUOTE ]
Perhaps, but it isn't "just" north of Talos, it's in international waters! -
I'm Canadian. That's close enough, right?
