Not exactly a pic but I've been trying to make a PvP video and the event gave me a good chance to grab some footage. Doesnt help that the camera drones are easy targets..

Uh, Stateman is Natural, and he lost his powers. My interpretation of the spell is that it shuts down anything that wouldn't work in the "real world". So Manticore's archery skills are unaffected, but Statesman's "inner will" is, even though they're both Natural in origin. This would also shut down all magic, and any technology more advanced than an automobile (which means the city should be experiencing a total blackout as the Terra Volta reactor, which uses Rikti technology, shuts down).

There's one small personal problem though; I have a character (Black Victor) that would die permanently if magic ever stopped working. So in the interests of a true roleplayer, either I'm going to have to concoct a good enough reason for him to stay alive on the listed date, or I'm going to have to delete him.

Well, at the risk of sounding slightly spoilerish, there's a pretty strong connection between the two groups.

This looks wonderful from what I've seen, both story- and art-wise. The premise is downright chilling! And I love how you follow the text bubbles in the splash page to Manticore's location in the fray.

Personally, I don't like it. I feel the current debt system is quite fair, and I don't feel the need to "dumb it down" as it were. There is hopefully a deeper reason to this change than appeasing the whiners, I'd just like to know what it is.

No no no, it's funny because as an auto-hit spell Magic Missile cannot be fired in a random direction, but needs a target in order to be cast in the first place. Since Burn is a drop, it needs no target and would actually be quite effective at dispelling the darkness. Add the fact that a first level wizard can only cast one spell per day, and Burn needs only a short recharge before it's usable again, and you can see how you miss on the sheer wastefulness of the act. Now if you were casting, say, Radiation Infection on the darkness, that would be closer to the original intent.

Miki: Love the jacket, pants, and sneakers! Real James Dean look going on here!

Lin: Very nice! The battle damage is a little off-putting, but it's good to know it's an option. And the hairpiece is killer!

Lillith: Why goths and Harujukus should never interbreed. Aside from the whole "necrophile's fantasy" thing, I can see a lot of mileage coming from the pleated shirt and tattered vest though.

Overall, a good selection of new stuff. Definitely worth getting excited over! Still no sign of muzzles or other animalistic features, but they are hopefully keeping those in reserve.
