The problem with doing a contest like that is that some people have lots of prestege to spend on their base while other people are trying to scrap together enough to buy a new generator to get more things into the base. All in all unless you could come up with a way to make it fair then a base contest won't work.

Sorry I could not make it, a friend of mine called and I can't be on the phone and play. Anyway I will send a PM later to set up a better time to view perhaps this weekend?
-
go to YouTube and look for Stackers lessons, he does a fantastic job of showing off the basics of stacking.
-
I will try and be there. I love looking at other bases. I would also like to show off one of my bases the other is no where near ready to show off. I will post a time later this week. I am on Triumph and I have no problem meeting in Galaxy.

other than what has been stated I don't think that there are any funnky other key commands.

LOL I know the story of the stray cat only mine was a kitten and he followed me home like a puppy! Ah such is life.

I think the default for moving your camera angle is insert and delete, but because of the selling default in base editor mode I had to change that so I could rotate my camera up and down. I hope this is what your looking for. Also my default zoom has been my middle mouse button or the roller what ever you want to call it. Hope this helps

wow!!! Now I am getting some ideas, now to find a room to play in.....
-
Wow this is looking awsome and has given me some ideas for my own base(s). Okay one I am still working on power issues.... Anyway, nice job Turbo I just found this after a long absents from the boards and I can't wait to see the final product.
-
Dang that looks good. I need to get in and take pics of my lab/storage area to show off, you now have given me ideas.
-
Best way to do this is to use a floor title and safes to stack them. It will take some patience and for me lots of view changing, but it can be done.
-
I would put in my Hero base but it is in the middle of construction and trying to get the funds to put in the generator, though it looks cool what I have.
I also must say that I am very jellious of some of those arcane bases, it is giving me ideas on what to do with Cobretti though I am still trying for a 1920's speakeasy on that not so much the magical... -
Go figure Ad Astra just as I put my in so did you. LOL

What they are talking about is a Vault. I have one in my VG mostly for looks nothing else it is linked to the vaults elsewere in the city/illes. Hope that helps you out.
-
Don't worry Defragment I have also decovered the pain of needed Prestige to make my base work the way that I want it too. Though I must say that Double xp weekend did bring me that much closer to my goal.
-
Sorry but no. When you copy over your character your base does not go with you. I wish it did becuase then I would have been playing with my own base over on test.
-
Okay I like your overview and it looks good so far.
in order for all of your teliporters to work you are going to need more power and control I think.
What are you using for your power and what do you have in your control room?
*Edit: ooo nm I found your generator.... hate to tell you but you need to build a bigger one I am running into this problem right now
As for your layout I think it looks good but Not how I would have layed out the teliporters... for the same number of porters you can get just one bigger room though you would have to chage up some of your layout, but if you like it keep it. Your base layout is all about you and your SG.
From looking at your layout if you are trying to get as much as possible into one plot you are waisting space with the small TP rooms. I will try and get a screeny of my plot on heroes side so that you have something to compare too. -
from that pic it looks like they just stacked a ramp to make a hood. Also while your in game check out our gobal thread BaseBuildersInc. (with the dot) and most of the time there is someone on to answer your questions.

How will this effect my SG/VG?
I have to say that I have spent a good deal of time working on both my bases. I have seen all of your arguments about switching sides, now there is one other question that you all have forgoten about....
SPY! How will that effect our SG/VG? Will I have to add in the other sides teliporters if I am being a spy for my SG/VG or will they give me a spy teliporter to put into my base that will be like a mission teliporter and drop me into the zone that I need to be in for my spy mission?
Honestly if I have a toon that switches sides I am not too worried because I only play on one server that has both a SG and a VG so if I have to leave one I just get myself invited to the other. -

Add this ability to the existing Mission Computer!
I mean, it's got the perfect name already!

I agree! It would give the mission computer some more use but would you be able to write your own missions from there as well or do you have to go to the AE building? -
These are my ideas:
<ul type="square">[*]How to Make a Second Floor
How to make Walls
How to Lower your cealing
Stacking unstackable things[/list]
Those are just things that I have had a fit with and that I have seen cool pics of. -
But keep in mind if you are stacking those stone blocks you need to use a floor plate to keep going up. I did this in my Villian base and if you are to do it have lots of time and your favorite nonalcoloic drink because you will need it. You can see a pic of that doorway in this weeks City Scoop.
