  1. You don't -- I unpublished an arc that had gotten most of my 'levels played' but I still have my Author badges (and the star badge).

    You did it wrong

the farming mission you need to choose has a level 45 av or eb in it, that goes from 45-50. You do it with level 50 dolls and have a REALLY fast level 50 burner (There are very few builds that qualify). Just hit the main concentrations and the massed ambushes, if you miss a few go on to the next group, don't screw around with singles or doubles or any mobs less than about 10 at a time.
That will get you from level 1 to level 46 in a little over 35 minutes (Conceivably faster if you can find a faster burner) and then you have about 25 minutes to get from 46-50 via standard level 54 doll missions or keep doing that one... the problem is that that single mission slows down dramatically after level 46, 49-50 alone took almost an hour.

I did manage to get into one of those missions, but those farmers don't advertise much -- had I not gotten into that one farm (for only one run), my time would've been higher than 13.5 hours.

I can see what you mean though as far as ripping through from 1-40 with that type of mission.

For most people (this is opinion), they're exterminating Comm Officers by the 1000s, and that's going to take between 10-15 hours to go from 1 to 50 depending on how lucky they are with PUGs...

I believe this is the fastest 1-50 done through MA, shattering all previous records.

    one hour

Log in. Level pact with lowbie. Log out. Pact-mate powerlevels essentially 100 levels. Log back in. Voila, "one hour." Interesting as performance art, but performance art nonetheless.

    Exactly what I was thinking...

I did a test this weekend to see if these numbers are correct. Doing the farming missions as they are now, PUG'ing it the whole way - 13.5 hours (from Friday at 8:30 pm to Sunday at 2:00pm)

I would say I'm a relatively casual player -- I enjoy the content, which is why I chose to do this with a brand new character... in the name of science, of course.
  4. Do the devs read this many pages into these posts?

For me, the most important thing to fix in CoV is the atmosphere. I understand why it's dark and dreary, but I don't play games to be depressed... does it always have to be so cloudy and depressing in every CoV zone? Can't Mercy and Martial be turned into zones that are sunny maybe part of the time?

I get a better vibe from playing CoH and it's not from 'being a good guy,' it's from the nice weather they have over there.

Another nice thing would be a central hub area like the Atlas Statue -- maybe something can be done near Kalinda (to keep in line with the central hub in CoH is the level 1 area).

And one last thing -- the Super Group registration area is pretty well hidden on the villain side. The "official" building isn't even marked on the map in Port Oaks...
  5. PlanetSide is #18! NC FTW! And it's listed at under $4

Figured I would give that game a shout-out since I played it for 2.5 years... CoH only recently surpassed it on my "game I've played the most" scale...
  6. The fear component has to be changed -- with all three of the effects on test right now (fear, increased recharge, and lower damage), Burn becomes an unnecessary power... but that's MAINLY because of the fear component...

The damage and recharge changes are fine, but ONLY if fear is removed (or adjusted to level BELOW what is on live now)

One more thing, if you travel around the city, count the number of Fire Tanks vs. all other ATs -- granted, Fire Tanks are easy to spot -- I think the changes to Burn are population control -- I would say almost everyone (or a large percentage of people) has at least one alt that is a Fire Tank... I don't know if you can say that about any other AT...

Remember, they (the Devs) can see the numbers -- they know there are a lot of Fire Tanks and I think they are trying to do something about it...
  7. The text is inconsistent in the Task Force badges -- there are two at the bottom that say 'taskforce' and 'task force' (all lower case) -- and there is one badge that says the 'XXX Task Force' (is that an error?)

I was hoping you all would colorize the exploration/history badges based on what level of the game you got them (Atlas Park - Perez - Kings Row - Galaxy City is the first tier.. then -- Steel - Boom - Faultline - Skyway is the second tier... and so on....) -- just to break up the plain look of all the badges...
  8. I have a Ill / FF Controller and would like to see a guide also -- slotting the bubbles vs. Controlling effects is my biggest question (I know to concentrate on the Primaries, but with bubbles, slotting for defense can be important...)
  9. Do the release notes need to include anything about Fire Tankers, or is everything we need to know within the Taunt modifications?

I do have to agree with the above poster -- long posts are hard to read/keep track of, but I understand that they work well for you all...
  10. This is supposed to take place in Rhode Island... right? We should see some snow...
