FTW! I always create a new .PSD file from the source material first (for safety) before anything else. Then:

"Layer Menu... New... Create New Layer from Background... Select/Erase/Del unwanted material (make sure that checkerboard is clean)... Size and season to taste... Save As .PNG"

I believe you would need to send the actual file embedded in the body of the Email, instead of simply typing in some Link. At least that is what we do here on occasion.

I must admit... even I am impressed by this move.

Ummm... how would that help with water-marks that have a beveled-edge (for a fake-glass 3D effect) while being transparent, not bound to a single color? Or the watermarks that 'shift' the position of the video around the edges so that their outline appears raised up from the surface? Today's water-markings are better and more sophisticated (and also may contain invisible digital-IDs embedded in the file as well) than the simple color-marked transparencies and overlays of the past.

Oh well... too much trouble to remove altogether. Back to the drawing-board.

Why do we still need more 'free' this and 'free' that (until we pay for it in one form or another) added into this game? What's wrong with the content and value-items we have now? Is this game not 'good enough' to continue playing on as is?

I use the programs found in Adobe CS3 and Sony Vegas for simple GIF animations. But you can also get it .GIF animated (or converted) through Camtasia which I used to use a lot in school. Play the small video-link on that page to see what it does.

Sure it's 'free,' that is if you don't mind Autodesk water-marking all your work.

A real shame, too. It filled a niche-player market. But $ony let that one go into the dumpers, too.
