Not really a CoH/CoV question...
I believe you would need to send the actual file embedded in the body of the Email, instead of simply typing in some Link. At least that is what we do here on occasion.
Depends on 1) the email provider and 2) her settings.
What I'd do first is test it out with a humorous email with a picture, and ask her if she can see the pic embedded in her email. I can provide you with a good one if you need it, but you probably already have some from various places.

guildportal email isn't like POP email, guys. It's more like a message board private message.
About the only way I can think of is to share the photo on photobucket, and then put the url to the IMAGE (not the image page) inside an image tag within Guildportal's editor. Check out the toolbar when composing a message, I'm sure there's something for inserting an offsite image.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
I just got some art done by gammaknight, thanks Thor's_Assassin for the commission thread by the way, and I'd like to send it to the reciepent on her guildportal account. But I have NO idea on how to put the image in the message so that when she opens it, she'll see the pic instead of just the link to my photobucket album. I'd like to pop her socks with the pic, instead of having her click the link. Does anyone know how to do that?
