Quote:so, because you don't have a leg to stand on you resort to attacks. good position as the last poster that attacked people was banned. keep going. your on the right track for that. i also don't like having words put in my mouth. last person that tried that was laughed off of the forums and we haven't seen them since. i think you need to take your delusional paranoia and go somewhere else for now.So your position is that the population has changed significantly within the last 3 weeks. Thanks for opening your mouth and removing all doubt...
I do however agree that my view of healthy population is shared by the majority like you just said.
Double fail in one post. Not a record for you, but definitely one of your better efforts in looking the fool.
Honestly is this the best you guys have to represent you? Someone who makes the claim that the population has changed significantly enough in the last 3 weeks that I can't possibly know the state of it. If that were true take a guess in which direction said population has gone as more and more people enter into the beta? Ya you fail. Not to mention such a powerful command of the English language that he inadvertently states that my view is shared by the majority. I guess it can get more embarrassing for the anti-merge heretics than the "list" that gets quoted. Who'da thunk it? -
Quote:and with this post, and a few of your others, i write off anything further you have to say. your idea of "healthy" is not shared by only a slim few. and honestly, if you haven't logged in for the past few weeks(up to a month) then you don't know what the population at this time is like. but then of course, you seem to fail to understand that since the game came out, people have been crying about server mergers everytime someone logs off to go to sleep.I didn't realize we were engaged in a real time discussion of the population. I thought we were talking about the general state of the population over the last while.
Or are you taking the position that the population has undergone a significant change in the last few weeks? That would be interesting.
Seeing as how I'm right about that, you can be sure to collect your foot from your mouth at your earliest convenience. -

Quote:well, i'm not a dev, nor can i read the minds of new players. therefore, i do not like dealing in absolutes, as only sith deal in absolutes, with content that we really have no idea about yet.
Those aren't decisive words of power that inspire confidence.
like i said, we will have to wait and see.
edit: oh yeah, it seems like closed beta is starting soon. just letting you know so you can be prepared to see less people on the game. -
Quote:well, seeing as how praetoria most likely will be pasted all over the box, and even the desciptions for online purchases, most new players will probably start there. and you seem to forget that with altitis, many people probably have a few toons that don't have that many levels yet. i think it is time for you to lose these feelings you have and just sit back and wait to see what happens. You plan on leveling many new toons from 1-20 in the rogue isle/paragon city when GR first hits?
The box they are picking up is called Going Rogue, not "Praetoria".
I see two possible ways a new character will choose their starting world.
You either select the world you want to start in: Rogue Isle, Paragon City, or Praetoria. And then it takes you to character creation where the available ones are open to pick from.
or
You build your new character and when you hit create after naming it is prompts you as to which world you'd like to start in. Based on whether you have selected a scrapper for instance or a brute it will prompt you to start in Paragon/Praetoria, or Rogue Isles/Praetoria. -

Quote:if the servers were based on a pay for server setup, then yes this would be a concern. as of right now, it doesn't seem to be. your very last sentence seems to imply that you grasp that.I appreciate the numbers, Neuronia and Brillig. But those are figures for the total game.
I'm wondering when the population of a single server gets so low that it is no longer worth the cost it takes to maintain it. When you get to that point, I assume you then consider a server merger.
Maybe they don't consider it at a server level at all. Maybe they just look at the profitability of the game as a whole. -
Quote:/em puts keys in Death Star ignition and warms it up...No wait, I'm not done yet! Base fees would include influence (at 2000-1) as well as prestige, and every level 50 has to do one hour of community service a week, by running ITFs and donating all merit rolls to a random newbie in Atlas Park.
it takes a while to warm up so.... -
Quote:ok, so my question still stands bout screenies from "It". i mean after all, Pennywise was a big spider looking thing at the end.
In a forum post[1] about this, he corrected this assumption and revealed that he has a fear of spiders (arachnophobia) -

Quote:/em nuked out of exsistance. what happens to the people saving those for toons they are working on and take longer then 60 days to get to be able to slot those things? altitis has some serious side effects on leveling. How about taking everything that has been sitting in storage in a base for over 60 days and auto posting it to the market for 5 inf? All proceeds go towards building BaB's summer house in the British Virgin Islands.
Some sort of mass welfare like this (in my opinion) would solve a lot of the things that people complain about on this forum! -
Quote:you obviously missed the clown themed PvP event that was held last year. was a damn good turn out and lots of innovative clown costumes. i tried to find a link for you but my search fu is on the fritz today. For as long as I've been playing, players have wanted more clown items in CO*...
Clown costume pieces...
Clown-themed powersets...
Clown minions for masterminds to control...
Clown-themed events...
... and players have been told "No".
I don't understand. Why is this so? Is it because it doesn't fit in with "the CO* milieu"? Or is something else going on?
Has there been an official reason? -
and a rad armor set has been suggested before.....

i still have to re-do my tray after a respec to. i was just pointing out that you can already lock powers to the tray through the options menu so they don't get moved around while playing.
-
Quote:lol. no. i spit soda all over it as i laughed at seeing only 2 peeps on freedom. i think thats cause everybody was on the forums checking them out...If somethings wrong then the Search tool is unreliable and can't be trusted. As to your keyboard, have you tried cleaning it after you visit the pron sites?
J/K
But back to the pic, I was just on to pay rent on my base and it was very quiet, and having posted in this thread it made me curious what I'd find if I searched. I wasn't expecting what I found and couldn't resist a screenshot to post here for S&G's. -
ummm..... i think something is wrong there.... not sure what, but i know my keyboard isn't happy with me right now.
-
well, you already can lock your powers into the tray so while you are playing they don't get dragged around. so half of your wish is granted.

try resting your modem and router(if you have a router). to do this, do not push the reset button. instead, shut down your comp, unplug the modem from the comp and remove the power plug from the modem. if you also have a router, unplug that also. wait 2 mins. then plug back in the modem to the comp then plug in the power cord to the modem. wait another 30 secs after all the lights for the modem have come back on then turn on your comp. if you have a router, before turning on the comp, plug the power cord to the router and wait another 30 secs. then turn on the comp.
also, try to free up space on your hard drive. then do a disc clean up and defrag. -
most of the AE buildings are within a few jumps of a WW/BM. get yourself a market tp and take a few steps. this will help you out i believe.
-
don't get me wrong. i'm not against the suggestion. and i do play WoW also and seeing some botched emotes is very entertaining. i was just pointing out that the OP could always check the emote box first to see if what he wanted was there and also to suggest that the emotes that aren't there should be added to it.
-
both. that is why i have my dp paired with energy melee. i only needed like 4 powers from energy melee and took everything from dp.

if you are worried about things appearing in chat, there is an emote button at the right of the chat box where you type in your text. some of the emotes aren't in there and probably should be added in.
