The first picture of that monstrous (but loveable) drill instructor Kilowog for the Green Lantern movie has hit the web today.
You can check it out here. -

Hiya E. I haven't been around for a bit. Been busy with building a site (check sig). Anyway, I'd like to join as well, I'll be on Mr. White Shades Level 50 (Elec/Elec) Brute. ^_^

The teaser for the next Guillermo del Toro film, Dont Be Afraid of the Dark is online. It's a remake of a 1973 fantasy/horror movie of the same name. It stars Bailee Madison, Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce.
The film focuses on a young girl, who is sent to live with his father and his new girlfriend. She then discovers that there are creatures living in her new home.
I've posted the teaser trailer here.
Heh... first time a teaser kinda... scared me... a little anyway. >_> -
In Kaneohe, Hawaii, an attempted robbery happened last week in a gaming place called PC Gamerz. Two masked men entered and tried to take everyone's money. But when one of them attempted to take a Nintendo DS... the gamers fought back.
Here's the link, including a video report with footage of the incident.
Nerdrage can sometimes be a tool for crime-fighting. O_O -
Here's the short blurb I posted on my site:
Quote:Hehe bright red on that background. ^_^; But it's Rainn Wilson, I like him in The Office. And some of the actors involved in the movie I like as well. Hoping it will be good and funny. The first few images for the movie, Super has just been released from jamesgunn.com. The first one below is a still image from the film. The second, first shown at Comic-Con, shows the superhero character Crimson Bolt.
Super is an action/comedy movie by James Gunn. Its about an everyday guy (Rainn Wilson) who transforms himself into the superhero, Crimson Bolt, after his wife (Liv Tyler) falls under the influence of a drug dealer (Kevin Bacon). With the best intentions, but no superpowers nor any heroic skills, he compensates by swinging his trusty wrench.
The cast of Super includes: Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon and Nathan Fillion. See the images below:
(I wish the IMG tag had a resizing feature, the pic is kinda too big here in the forums.)
Here's a link to my original article. -
The first trailer for the Yogi Bear movie (which came as a surprise to me, I didn't know they were making one) has been released. It was released through YahooMovies.
I've posted it here, along with the teaser poster.
Not sure how I feel about the movie, but it looks like it could be fun. -
The first trailer for the fantasy movie, Sucker Punch hits the net. For some details on the movie and the trailer, I posted it here. (Yes, it's a wesbite I'm working on >_>).
Or just for the trailer you can check out iTunes Movie Trailers. -
Sign me up too Luna, if there's still space. ^_^
I'll be using Bandila again (Peacebringer). -
Sorry to hear about your current condition Shandi.
I wish you good luck on your surgery, and a speedy recovery. We'll see you in-game soon. ^_^ -
Have fun Turg! Have a good one!

I like a few of the songs posted in this thread already.
Here's one a bit more recent that I found. It's "This is War" by Thirty Seconds to Mars. It's part of the official soundtrack of the RPG: Dragon Age by BioWare.

I would like to join again Luna. ^_^
Sign up Bandila again, Peacebringer. -
Quote:No problem, Mr. E. Sorry you couldn't make it. Hope you feel better now. ^_^Congrats on a successful run last night!
Sorry I couldn't make it - I wound up passing out before 11pm.
Had fun on Turg's team last night. As already mentioned we ended up being successful after two tries. (Thanks Turg for stepping up and forming it! ^o^)
What they forgot to mention is how cool Paragon was as well. Being a super tank like you are Mr. E, he soloed some of the missions, mostly the ones involving destroying or clicking portals. It made the run faster and safer. And he did equally as awesome on the final battle. And I learned a new trick on that battle. (Thanks Paragon ^_^)
Everyone did their parts solidly and we ended up with a nice shiny badge. -
Hiya Luna. I'd like to join, if a slot opens up on Monday night. Sign me up on the alternate list as well. I'll be on using Bandila, Level 43 Peacebringer. ^_^
-
Definitely want to join this one again, Mr. E. Shadowrush needs the badge. Sign me up with my main character.

Quote:Interesting suggestion. Hmmm, always skipped Traps because of having to put down stuff on the ground. But it would mean that I'd have to keep putting Triage beacon near my melee pets who'll probably be always running towards the opponent.Just a suggestion, Traps will nearly let you soft cap defense with your pets.
And will still let you, IO'd properly, Cap defense for yourself which allows you to then easily Tank most AV's and let Triage Beacon to heal you and your pets of what will ultimately be very little damage.
THe -regen trap allows you to kill AV's extreamly easily
the -resist mortars speed things up nicely as well.
If you're going for a theme I imagine traps can fit decently well.
If you're dead set on Ninja/FF though, ignore all of that and have a blast.
But I guess, one could just think ahead and plan where to put all these things down.
Concept wise it will work great as much as Force Field for my character. He's a tech scientist, so both FF and Traps can work. He's obsessed with ninjas, and the devices in Traps do have a modern-ninja-spec-ops type of feel.
(Not to mention if I go Traps, I won't feel obligated to constantly keep bubbling everyone in the team every 4 minutes. >_>)
Hmmm... interesting suggestion indeed.
I'll give both a try and see how each feels. Thank you for opening me to this possibility. ^_^ -
Quote:I had fun with the TF. Thanks to everyone that organized it.
I was Bandila on this run, and lol you caught me saying "Woot ^_^" -
Thank you all for the replies.
There's some stuff I learned from this thread that will greatly help me. I'll be making the Ninja/FF soon, and then later on fully IO him out when he gets high in level.
The last reply from Retillian does remind me of my experience with my scrapper, my main, the MA/SR. Late blooming, but sounds great at 50 and once IO'ed out. If they are similar in experience, and considering that I solo some AV's with my MA/SR (and even pylons), perhaps it will be the same kind of enjoyment I'll have with my Ninjas/FF MM. ^_^
Now time for me to go checkout those guides on binds and tips in controlling your pets beyond the basic buttons the game gives you.
I have a feeling this is going to be fun and challenging. -
Hiya. Been a long while since I visited the Masterminds forums (or the AT for that matter).
I've been thinking of creating a Ninjas/FF. He'll be Tech Origin, the ninjas themselves are actually androids/robots. Yes, ninja robots.
So I have some questions:
1) Is it possible to softcap my pets defense? and myself as well?
2) How would Ninjas/FF be like, soloing EB's?
3) Is it possible for a Ninjas/FF to be able to solo some AV's at end game?
4) Considering that in BG mode, I have to wait to get hit in order for my pets to attack, should I bother with Tankerminding with such a defense oriented set? (Since it would take a long time for me to get hit, especially if I'm softcapped.) Is Tankerminding the way to go with this setup in the first place?
5) Considering that I don't see any heals on this particular combination, will the Medicine pool be a necessity? (I'm fine with Medicine, just making sure that I'm not missing some heal in some patron power or somesuch) Or should I bother with healing at all, if we're softcapped? And just let the ninja robot die if he gets two shotted, and resummon?
6) I'd rather not have Teleportation, but will it be necessary for Ninjas? Since I hear they tend to go all over the place sometimes. Or will just minding to control them more suffice?
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. -
Yup, same here. Bandila, my character used for this TF also can not login after being disconnected.
But I can login to my other characters.
I wonder if FBZ crashed or something? -
Interesting event. I quite enjoyed it. ^_^
Well of course there was the usual lag for these sort of things. But I found it quite unique, being a dev driven mission type event.
Protecting a Midnighter character controlled by a dev, complete with scripted dialogues and emotes, put a bit of immersion into the whole thing. I also liked the surprise ending. Although the ending fights were a bit anticlimactic, as the final bosses were killed really fast.
I also like that there were some hints connecting it to GR in some way. Not gonna spoil what it is.
We also got a new Yellow Title, so that was nice. Thanks so much devs. -
Interesting topic.
Of course, I would want to use my namesake, Shadowrush. ^_^
But if for some reason that's not possible, I'd probably pick Foreshadow--> http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Foreshadow. He's a martial arts hero like my main character, and I've always liked his story concept. He's also one of the few asian signature heroes in the game. I'm asian myself and so is Shadowrush. And coincidentally, they both have the word "shadow" in their names. -
Hiya Luna! I'd like to join. ^_^
I'll be using my filipino themed hero, Bandila. He's a Level 40 Peacebringer. (He might gain a couple of levels more before Monday, to be a bit more help to the team.)
I can do an all-nighter, if you guys can't find someone to fill the 8th slot. Or in the two night team is fine as well. See you guys then. -
Wow, is that seven controllers? Nice. If that wasn't enough to hold those mitos, I don't know what will!
Congrats to you guys for a successful MoLGTF! ^o^
