Heh, not that this is new information, just confirmation that strides are now being taken to infuse more fun into the grind. I expect my lowbies will have a bonfire party in the base.
Overall, yes there were a few "brick walls", but I still find this game to be a blast. I am looking forward to seeing more of these positive changes to the game.
RantMode.EXE
...meh! I'll rant later about complaints I see here on a daily basis.

Let's stay all gooey and puffy as we beat our chest in anticipation...chanting XP XP XP XP!! -
Lighthouse, Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate the fact that you are so communicative with us about these things.
As for 2xXP, Meh! As I've said before, I work 12-18 hour rotating shifts on weekends. I tweaked my schedule so I have from friday evening, through saturday morning 10am to play. If I get in...great. If not...It's juts a game* and I'm sure I'll find something else to do.
Have fun everyone!
(*Ok, seriously...I spend more time ingame than in real life. My official mailing address is 5050 N. War Witch Ln, Guardian-Paragon City, USA 32909.) -
No new Stan and Lou..........

I am the Keymaster!
(Yeah, it was a toss up between Gatekeeper and my first choice) -
I am Adam, prince of Eternia, and defender of the secrets of Castle Grayskull. This is Cringer, my fearless friend. Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me, the day I held aloft my magic sword and said,
"BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL! ....I HAVE THE POWER!"
Cringer became the mighty Battle Cat. And I became He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe! Only three others share this secret; our friends the Sorceress, Man-At-Arms and Orko. Together we defend Castle Grayskull from, the evil forces of Skeletor! -
Oh Well, I hope everyone who can take advantage of this does very well. As for me...
I work weekends. Luckily my schedule changed and I have a friday nights, so I'm gonna tear up Paragon as much as possible with the little time I have -
I am excited for Chris Chung and his lead role for NCSoft. I admire that he shares a common view of his predecessors and wants to take Co* even further. I however do not want to see our current gaming experience lessened by developments that take away from our current way of playing this game.
If a port to PS3 were opened sucessfully, I agree that it would blow the game wide open to many people who aren't currently exposed via PC conventions. It would increase the MMO part of the MMORPG and open new opportunities for meeting new gamers.
Unfortunately I have to ask a question about the psychological makeup of an individual who plays solo on a console. Would they adapt to playing with others or would the Co* Soloists (read antisocial) increase.
In short, as long as I can still play the game on my PC, have fun, and maybe meet some new friends, then Great! -
Excellent Job!
Between this and the Consice Command and Emotes List thread, maybe I can get this oversized paperweight to do more than glow that pretty blue color.

Methinks that 'They' are Stan and Lou, backed by legions of Hellions, Warriors, and a Bon Bon Fetching Zombie.
(I never could find the reason for the sudden death of them and still hold candlelight vigils in hopes they return one day, perhaps in an ambulance driven by a cat)

He would have had to previously recorded a demo with your friends in it in order to get their costume settings to copy though, as far as I understand. Or just really good memory to duplicate them manually. I don't think he can pull that info from some random account though. That would be a huge security breach i would thing. :P
[/ QUOTE ]
He was switching out costumes for different slots, including a costume I had just made the night before and hadn't shown anyone yet, so there couldn't have been a previous Demorecording. As far as breaching security, he's not even connected to a server or even on the internet when he does this, so I don't think so.
That is what is bugging me about him saying he didn't use Demoedit. He seems to be able to call forth the image of anyone he has a name for, and use a costume from one of their costume slots. This doesn't sound possible in Demoedit, from what I'm reading here.
[ QUOTE ]
Yes demoedit can do that.
It can also let you use i.e. Statesman and make him a stone tank, or take anyone's character and make him 20 ft high.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then a post like ^^^ is made and it all goes out the window.
Is there something else he may be doing? -
Well, I talked to him about this last night. He says he is not Demoediting and that Demoedit does not do what it was that he did.
Although he is a good friend, yeah I agree, he is a dick. He's double talking and keeping what he did more of a secret than the answer to the Sphinx's Riddle.
I see in the above links that it looks like what he did on the screen, except it was all of our Heroes and Villains together with Ghost Widow and Statesman.
Does Demoedit allow you to pose any character you want, in any map location, even Signature Heroes/Villains and friends characters from other accounts? If so, then he is still jerking me around by saying Demoedit isn't what he did.
Without Demoediting, how would he be doing this? -
[ QUOTE ]
I don't understand why you haven't asked him how to do it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I did ask him, but he just smugly grinned at me. Yeah, he's a bit on the sarcastic/smug side and he thinks it's funny to not tell me and keep watching me go nuts trying to figure out what he did.
To clarify: He was pulling images of Ghost Widow and putting her in the collage under Atlas Ball with all the heroes from our accounts and friends accounts. At one point, he had my main villain and main hero, along with Statesman, GW, and LR all under Atlas Ball in this picture.
Ok, so I've heard of demoediting before. I am under the impression that demoediting only records what you do ingame.
If Demoedit is how he did this, is there a tutorial someone could link to for me to learn please? -
I was at a friends house a few months ago. He wasn't actually logged into the game, but had his Main Scrapper in Atlas 'Under the Ball' on his screen. He told me to check something out.
He hit a few keys and suddenly 2 images of his Main were now on either side of my Main Tank. At first, I thought he may actually be ingame, but then I realized he doesn't have access to my account.
How is this possible? He is able to display any character, in any map or zone by using location commands, but is offline while doing it.
I am interested in knowing how, so I can start making group pics and stuff for my art collection.
Thanks in advance for the help on this.
(He says there is a thread aboout it somewhere on these forums, but for the life of me I can't get Search to work worth a crap. If someone knows about this thread a link would help.) -

Storage permissions don't match how most groups want to use them. Some enhancers should be more secure than others, and so on. (Permission by table would be ideal, a whole tier of more-secure tables would probably give enough flexibility to be useful.) In general, the all-or-nothing nature of the permission, combined with the need to educate new SG members makes it difficult to trust people with any storage permission at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
To clarify this, "Permission by table" refers to the individual storage bin, not the class ie. Insp, Enhancement, or Salvage. Rank permissions on a per bin basis will alleviate all of the "Welcome to 'SG/VG X', Feel free to have fun, No you can't access this or that, now enjoy your stay here". all or nothing you speak of.

Ability to change the Base Exit Portal's look. [and] Ability to change the Entrance Room's size.

The current "Blue Swirly" is rather inconvenient in its current 'after thought' state. I suggest a smaller scaled "Wall Mounted" portal similar to Portal Corp/CoT portals. To clarify, Just the Ring, not the steps, pedestals, ramps, etc. This would be akin to the Vault Reserve base items size and shape on the wall.

A way to get both Prestige AND Inf past level 35 (frequently toggling SG Mode on and off is a clumsy solution). A Prestige Slider is often mentioned; adding a single 50/50 SG Mode setting would be better than the current extremes of 100/0 vs 0/100; or simply cut back the Inf tax to less than 100%.
[/ QUOTE ]
I propose that Level 50s revert to earning both Influence and Prestige as a reward for attaining Level 50. Warshades and Peacebringers do not 'reward' your success. All you get at Level 50 is 3 slots and a Gratz! from your teammates before you are 'rewarded' with another long grind on an AT you may never have an intention of playing.
[Rant #42,982,627,526,272.6]
With the advent of exorbitantly over priced IOs and Invention Salvages, most small to medium Supergroups that I talk with are dying. SG Members are not running in SG Mode at all [after Level 24] in order to earn the Influence they need for a particular IO. When SOs were the highest character purchases, we could pool together our resources to help each other out on a full slotting of Level 50 SOs. This was about 6 million, or 18 million to go "++".
30 Million Influence at the Auction House for 1 Numina Heal IO takes the 'Prestige' out of Supergroups fast, especially in SGs that do not have a bankroll of 1 billion influence to pay their member's way or are lucky enough to grind for 168 straight hours(yes, 1 solid week of caffeine) to maybe get just the right recipe drop.
I understand and fully agree with the idea of earning what you get. Being in the game for 3 weeks in a 5-20 Player SG should not unlock the King's Ransom of Uberness, but likewise it should not take 18 years for a casual group of friends to unlock enough to warrant having a base in the first place. We cannot fathom the excruciating prestige costs of Bases (All items/plot sizes etc).
Ok, I'll see this later and think "You really need to stop posting after 36 hour shifts at work" but for now I'll leave this to be chewed up while I bake up more RantLoaf[/Rant] -

It seems now is a good time to throw in a shameless plug for an event here in Tampa. We have theme parks and pirate parties and we won't kidnap anyone. Unless you're into that, there's a club in Ybor if you are.
[/ QUOTE ]
Being 2 hours or less from Tampa, Orlando, St. Augustine, JAX, and such, I can attest to this.
Unfortunately for this thread, there's no way I could go to an event unless it were in one of these places. -
Congratulations Beefcake!
Well deserved for all the things you have done to make us BadgeHunters informed and happy over the years. -
Absolutely Excellent Job Hertz!
I'm having a blast listening to these and can't wait for more.
