  2. Any permanent boost which is not reasonably available in game. This includes the AT specific enhancements which were previewed.

Now as much as I would like to there are no retail partners in my area that sell these items, so I'm wondering whether anyone else is having this trouble and whether it would be worthwhile contacting the NCSoft support. Or is this just a matter of their system being down and it will be back up when it is back up?
I think there is limit of purchases which you can make in a 24 hour period. I think it is 1 purchase per day. If you are trying to catch up by buying various booster packs, it can be a real inconvenience. Sorry!
  4. It would be nice if the market offered a character slot bundle of up to 6 slots (instead of a maximum of 5).

    Rocket Boards?

Would a motorcycle pseudo-superspeed power be reasonable to achieve? I dunno if the assets which exist for the thugs summon make it a lower hanging fruit or not.

  8. Soo... My CoH folder is around 4 gigs, whereas my CoH Beta folder is over 9 gigs.

(I patch it whenever I can, can't stand seeing the red dot... and you also never know when a new forum will magically appear before your eyes)
  9. Holy wow. My NCsoft launcher is indicating a 2 gig patch on the beta server.
  10. Might be a good idea to test the ability to join ongoing trials as well (either through and invite or the LFG tool). I have never heard of either working (on my server at least).

Huh? There will still be bundles in the store. Even today's update about the Paragon Market gives a price for the complete magic costume set (which is presumably cheaper than buying the pieces individually). They may well still sell the whole magic booster pack as a bundle in the new store as well.

edit: The store screenshot even says "bundled offers" as one of it's tabs . . .

Surprisingly, I understand how bundles work.

One reason I wonder about this particular instance is that the party pack seems to be cheaper in the new system (even than the old bundled version).

Also, being 65% much more expensive for non-bundle v. bundle is more of a mark-up than I would expect. Something like 20% would be much more reasonable. A 65% markup makes me worry that even the bundle will be more than $10 in the Paragon Market.

    Origins Pack had

    10 Auras ( $10.00)
    5 Capes (6.25)

    instead of $9.99 for all.
I wonder about this as well.
  14. Is anyone able to invite to an ongoing trial? So far as I have heard, that feature is still not working.

This is the way I feel about the enhancement tray.

I think they said that transfers stock up.
  17. Serious question:
Why stop at 48 character slots per server? Is there a serious hardware/server/software concern? Why not just let us go crazy!

That said, thanks for the higher character slot cap.

[edit: I honestly think the cap should be doubled to 72, and we should be able to filter our character select screen by alignment]
  18. Will we be able to get contacts without doing paper missions? Just curious.
  19. One thing to remember is that 10 dollars is the cost at the lowest conversion rate (400 points for 5 dollars). Larger bundles of points were said to have bonus points/better conversion rates. If you got the 30 dollars in paragon points, as a bundle, presumably you could end up with an extra several hundred points to spend.

Well, the 3 power choices freed up by inherent fitness balances this out i think. If only the two changes came at the same time, there would have been great rejoicing. As is, i see these new powers as a way to balance the investment in travel pools over the many temp powers that they will be releasing in the store. In a sense, it is an incentive for some of us not to buy some of their new shinies!

Well, with them expanding and improving their rewards system, it seems perfectly fair to be disappointed if the system goes unimproved in terms of forced rewards.

Personally, I am fine with the proposed system as long as I never miss the chance to obtain a costume piece due to arriving too late to the party.

I think my comprehension problem stems from my impression that the new system was previewed as offering players a new level of choice. I expected to be able to opt out of rewards in the process. Instead, I think my only choice is the order I choose rewards within a tier (unless that is fixed, i'm not sure I saw). The other aspect of choice only arrives at tier 9, when there will be a larger field of rewards, no specific reward being requisite.

I just worry that means I could miss out on costumes because I could be stuck in previous the first several months of Freedom. That would horrify me.

Pardon the hyperbole. The problem is that I have been very confused about whether I have to re-unlock all of my veteran rewards. Also, it doesn't say you can or can't skip rewards (and still move up the rewards "bush"). Anyways, the explanation just leaves me with many questions, and I await official answers on some issues. I went from thinking I could stockpile points since I already have sands of mu and such, to now thinking that most of my tokens will be used up re-unlocking most of these things (buying all slots in order to advance) and that my 72 month progress will only be incrementally further in the new system (with the best stuff just out of arms reach... unless I find a few barrels of cash to stand on!)
