  1. Hopefully the market coming down on test is a sign that they are working on it. But there seems to be several market bugs floating around, so who knows.

Okay, that was weird. Logged in to check if it was still happening - 20-25 fps for the first couple of minutes, but now, in the same place without moving, down to 7-8 fps, and I can't see anything graphical happening to cause that.

    Update:
-logging out and back in to the same character in the same place - same 7-8fps
-QUITTING out and reloading the client - same character, same place - 20-22fps (watching it now to see if/when it drops)
Did it go from day to night or vice versa?

edit: Also, there have been reports that performance settings run better than minimal for some users. I forget the exact explanation, but I have heard that minimal offloads some work onto the CPU which that GPU might be able to handle. This may or may not be true (or true anymore).
  3. In the old market, you could not buy enhancements or inspirations in stacks. In the new one you can, and the market will accept the bid accordingly (taking inf. from the player for all purchases) and retrieve those items. However, when you click to obtain those items from the market, only one is placed into the player inventory. The rest are lost!!

    Text from my original purchase:
"You bid 3,500,000 total on 10 Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You have purchased Invention: Recharge Reduction.
You got 10 Invention: Recharge Reduction."

However, only 1 enhancement made it into my inventory! I repeated this 3 times with 2 enhancement bids, with the same result.

I am hoping to bring this everyones attention so that people don't lose much INF on this before it gets fixed or an administrator warning goes out.

    My original thread in tech/bugs:

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=219631
  4. right, i lost items buying stacks of enhancements and the OP lost inf on stacked inspirations
  5. After looking at a post in market, I have decided that this is a bug with buying stacks of certain items on the market.

Such items, like inspirations and actual enhancements (if i recall correctly) were not purchaseable in stacks in the old market. In the new one they are, but when retrieving these items, only 1 is granted. All of the rest are, seemingly, lost!
  6. I made the post in tech.

It works fine, for me, on salvage and recipes. Just not on made enhancements.

Are these things which weren't purchasable in stacks before the new interface?

    I forget.
  7. Several times I have bid on multiple enhancements at the market. On each occasion, when all of the sales come through and I try to claim them from the market, the consignment text tells me that I have gotten all of them, but I only receive 1.

    Example text:

I have tried it 3 more times by bidding on 2 of the same enhancement, with the same results (receiving only 1 each time).

However, I only have 1 enhancement in my inventory, and the influence is missing. I have contacted ingame support, but I just want to put the word out and see if anyone else has a similar issue.

[edit: buying multiple salvage and recipes seems to work fine still, but buying the crafted enhancement above (and others?) still does not work]
  8. I will choose 2:

Trick Candle (Invuln / War Mace / Body), tanker : Great, sturdy tank. Slowly chews through large groups. Has the style to match.

Aquilia (Storm / Archery / Power), defender : Can do everything. ST damage, AOE damage, debuff, buff, stun, heal and fly. That's everything right? Right.
  9. I already have enough trouble trying to find self-destruct when I want to use it. I surely don't need more clickies on my tray, so I hope they stick with no more than one temp power per pack.
  10. Important reminder: spill the beans ASAP so I know what to expect when this thing gets to my server.
  11. A booster pack which gives us several new medieval armors would be nice. The one's in-game are so dated.

    Some new full helms also.

Also, an elemental themed pack would be nice, with rocky and icy outcroppings of various sorts. Maybe a swirling wind aura.
  12. Is there a technical reason why we can't have more than 36 slots?

I have 24 full slots at the moment. It's not exactly a pressing issue in my case, but I hope that it will be an option to go beyond 36 eventually!
  13. I am curious. Why not expand beyond 36 character slots per server? I know it is a lot already, but still, I have 24 slots full already ... and who knows that the future holds!
  14. imho neither of those two scenes have a distinctly CoX feel (the Mercy one feels especially lacking). I have played CoX more than any game in my life, but I found the HL2 (only played a few hours of this one) and Fallout 3 images much more recognizable. The HL2 one is great, I think. If there were a giant atlas statue or gaudy pyramid, things might be a little different.

    In Game Ad?

There was an add for the Watchmen DVDs as well i think.

So at least one targeted ad.
  16. What's with all of the trolling in this thread?

Anyways, will I need an account to view the answers as they come in? I really don't want to create one, but I will if I have to.
  17. I have 57 vet months right now. I might care (!).

Anyways, it's not a huge bonus really anyways. I doubt it is even worth 10 dollars, since there are so many uses to the pre-req powers anyways.

Furthermore, there are plenty of things at which NCsoft could wink their big blue eyebrow and squeeze $10 out of a lot of players with only a minimal number getting at all upset. Heck, they could allow players to unlock Cimerora and vanguard goodies on all characters and a lot of people would pony up. We would also buy a in-game pony.

Anything which is perceived to be an in-game advantage, even as minimal as the 60 month reward, is probably best to avoid.

    Jer

    Power choice IS your call.

What is not your call is what the best power for a situation is. The situation determines that.

Often, that power can be a primary/secondary rez.
  19. Wow. Wakies (even with break frees and blues) are no replacement for an in combat rez. It's just delusional to think that a player who has easy access to an in combat rez power is doing just as much for his/her team by carrying around an awaken. Those are high quality powers which should not be skipped unless you don't team or really need the power choices elsewhere.

edit: Also, there is a lot of blame being cast at misc. dead person who needs a rez. Players die a lot, even (if not especially) good ones. Let's not pretend that only a bad/negligent player hugs the dirt now and then. Especially those of us who like a challenge.

    Wait.

You have a power that depends on people dying but then you don't believe in wasting a power choose to actually rez the player who died, because it's their fault?

Also, on a team, it's often not the case that the player who dies is at fault. Often a good tanker will die in place of a teammate, or a blaster will die due to a bad tanker.
  21. A wakie and a rez are vastly different. With a rez you can put a tank or brute right back into the thick of things the moment after s/he dies. If you are on a team, it will probably irk some people that you didn't take a rez if people start dying. So what though, it's your character and no one will (nor should) make a big deal about it?

That said, I often find that masterminds don't take "team" powers (or, if they do take them, they use them on their pets alone) and, for that reason, they are generally last on my invite list redside.
  22. When do you want our ten dollars? We will come up with it, we promise. Just give us shinies.

[Just don't give us an semi-visible 25 dollar horse]
  23. I didn't read the whole thread, but here are some comments:

    1) Commercials? No way. There should be efficient, targeted advertising!

    2) Billboards: Could the ingame Billboard interface be used for player ads and such? I would have loved to see game events advertised on them. Perhaps if players got some free ad-space for their events, they wouldn't mind some real ads being mixed in.

Also, ads for shoes and cell-phones just aren't our demographic. Ads for movies, other games(!), and such might be more in line. Maybe services like Steam might be interested?

    3) Could a better program be put in place to reward players for recruitment efforts. Maybe allow players to earn some of your fancy costume powers for recruiting subscribing players (in addition to the free month)? Also, perhaps some official global channels (note:global, so everyone can help!) could be create for new players, in which new/trial accounts are automatically enrolled, but optional for existing players.

    4) Why are paid respecs soooo expensive? Truly, $2 or $3 seems more realistic for their value with so many free options available to us already. Do you even sell any of them right now? Honestly, I feel like all of the paid services (except character slots) could have their prices turned down.

    5) More character slots. I know right? Before we had 12 per server, now we have 36(!), and with GR around the corner that's still not enough! This is especially true if GR is going to come with some more character slots, as the web page hints. Perhaps this is already in the works, but if not, put it in the works!

So the cross server teaming so far seems to be an error or a misunderstanding and they were on the same server.
If you are Xavou on test, it showed you as being on Test Server 2 in the global friends list, even though you stated that you logged in on test server 1 (and I, who logged on test 2, couldn't team with you). Just mislabeled servers?
  25. Servers are going down in 15. Maybe we have seen too much.

[edit: tried this on test, didn't seem to work.]

[edit2: my temporary theory is that the shards are mislabeled on test : I think test 1 was showing up at Test Server 2]
