Well like I said as long as the drop chance is like dismally low to the point where farming it is a complete waste of time I'd have no problem with it.

This has a very very high abuse potential. When I tried out Age of Conan there was a fad going on called "Fight clubbing".

People would fight each other and win/lose equally so they could get their PVP levels up and get the PVP armor that was then available to them.

While I wouldn't necessarily mind seeing the costs of the PVP enhancements drastically lowered, it would give people a huge loophole to abuse for more or less free IOs. In the long run I could easily see something like that lowering the cost of everything across the board.

I'm always intrigued by these types of threads for one reason... seeing all the bigots come out of the woodwork who never post on a regular basis just so they can spew venom at people for simply suggesting something they like.

Insulting people for their personal interests is not a valid discussion point (Aka talking down to people by calling them furries) and only makes you look like an *******. Please stop it.

Examples of some valid points here are the vast amounts of work that would need to go into it and whether it would be worth it to implement something to this effect at all in the long run. Telling people they're playing the wrong game and calling them furry lovers is not.

I like small butts and I cannot lie, but I don't tell people they shouldn't like big butts. To each their own and leave it at that.

Well for starters... I'd make it so that exemplars do not lose their higher level powers/IO buffs when joining a lowbie team. They'd still be scaled down to the numbers of the lowbie version (which are quite clearly already there as detailed by the "level sliders" when looking at the detailed versions of powers) and the equation to apply the buffs are already there.

Would it be slightly overpowered? Sure, but we are freaking superheroes/villains.

Disable it in PVP because those people would whine endlessly and everything's golden.

1. Who's to decide what is a civilian costume piece?
2. You can already sort of do that by using walk but I'm not sure how this would have to do anything with having secret identities unless you're a tech-themed character without all his/her gadgets. You're otherwise still going to have all your powers. This is an RP matter, not a game mechanic matter imo.
3. I guess this makes sense on an RP level, overhearing gossip and such.

Overall it's a neat idea but I'd probably never end up using it.

Seems alright to me, but the last mission needs some big secret boss or something, or the TF just ends on a very anti-climactic (and rather cliche... I mean really more automatons? *finger twirl*) note.

Other than that, sounds like a spiffy idea.

You know. I can do some really damn creative things with how the base editor is even now, and I worked on my base for about 3 hours tonight making a motorcycle, a waterfall, and sprucing up my hot-tub with a mini fountain.

But if there's one thing I could change... it would be placing things by blocks. I wish to god that there was no such thing as red boxes. If it didn't fit inside the wall, let it clip outside the wall. It's impossible to center a number of things because of the automatic jumping from one "placing hook" to the next. So if there was one thing I would change it would be the total annihilation of placing hooks in favor of a fully free placement system. I can only pray to god this would also eliminate the god awful lag spikes that hit me when I get a red box because the placing system is so crude. Throw in the ability to rotate anything and everything on a -360- degree circle and I'd be perfectly happy with the base options we have today for at least another 6 months, and that's without asking for all the items already in missions like the happy hour sign.
