Quote:You hear "echoey," I hear "understandable." There's so many bands these days where the music is so incredibly loud you can't even hear the singer or understand them. You also mentioned "overly loud drums" and "drowned out melody," but in neither of those songs' melodies are drowned out, and one of them (the Psychadelic Furs song) doesn't even have drums. There's a difference between YMMV and outright lying.*shrugs* or just disagree. I find the percussion of the songs you linked to overdone, something I find problematic with music of that time in general. And the mad world link has the echoey singing I'd mentioned.
I simply thought both links had elements of what I took issue with, so I thought the inclusion of them might be ironic. Obviously I misread.
I understand the criticisms I brought up are 'problematic' only in my own view, please do not take this personally. -

Quote:What music were you listening to? That doesn't describe '80s music at all.**insert echoey singing and overly loud drums drowning out melody here**
Here's a couple of my favorites for a better idea of what I'm talking about.

I don't understand some of the hate I've seen here for the '80s. The best music came out of the '80s.

Quote:Corrected for the startling truth!!!I don't know if it's laziness, lack of interest, missed opportunity, statistical analysis or secret instructions from the moon Nazis, but I'd like to see it change. If bringing it up can help do that, or at least help someone remember it the next time costumes come up at a design meeting, then good.

I usually get rid of the Archon first just for that reason.

Well, I have news for you... unless you're a fashion designer that makes and sells clothes and have models to showcast them, the word of you and your friends means nothing. I'd sooner trust people who know what they're talking about than some smiley obsessed girl on a message board.

Quote:Pretty sure. Are you sure you're not thinking of a sleeveless blouse? Tank tops are very plain, so anything sleeveless that's more decorated is closer to a blouse than a genuine tank top.

Quote:Isn't that Leather Boy from the GLAI mean, GLXEr, the GLI?Thinking about it, I refuse to believe the Devs would bar costume choices just because it would be "gay". I mean, hell, we can already practically make this guy with the present options:
Heck, there's a male fashion model in the Twilight Son TF that DOES look like this guy, but with more color and a scarf. -

Example of a manly superhero that wears a skirt.
