Quote:Considering that I'm always knocking her down, I doubt this.Fire Blast > Energy Blast, especially with procs.
If Flambeaux has Energy Manipulation she'll have Boost Range as well...which gives her an edge. If she's Fire/Fire it's just more AoE goodness. As for KB, Flambeaux can just use Hover. We know she can use the Market since...*SPOILERS* in a Twinshot arc you speak with her next to Wentworth's, where she found some IOs to make her hair better. She might have enough KB protect from IOs to make that meaningless.
There's also no evidence that she has Hover. -

Quote:I pegged her for 16 myself.Yeah, maybe it's because she grows up off-screen, or because you can still go to Faultline and visit teen Penny, but either way it just feels a bit slimy to be looking at at her as a "sexy" character.
***EDIT***
Eighteen? There's no way that Faultline Penelope looks or acts eighteen. I always figured her for about fourteen. -
Yeah, there's nothing easy about Lost bosses, and at level 20+, the lieutenants become irritating as well. Especially for controllers.

Quote:Flambaeux on the other hand is a new hero that was just introduced to us earlier this year and at best is a loner that does high level street crime...Quote:Flambeaux is your opponent if you're a villain the Atlas Park Mayhem; she's been in the game since City of Villains released, though like the rest of the Rogue's Gallery she never got more than one line until Going Rogue.
Flambeaux has been levelling up all that time and never makes it any further than the c-list. I mean, she's Blast Furnace's arch-nemesis, which is just embarassing for both of them.Quote:Durakken... Flambeaux's been around since issue six. You know, when City of Villains launched. She was a heroine who tried to stop you in Mayhems.
So if you wanna go by introduction, Flambeaux's been a hero for longer, and failing a lot longer.Quote:Actually, Flambaeux has been one of the heroes that you fight in mayhem missions since they were introduced back in Issue 7.
Edit: Dammit, ninja'd.
At least I can claim a point for accuracy on the issue number as, although CoV released with Issue 6, mayhem missions weren't added until Issue 7.
Fusionette wins, because in my experience, she actually has proven useful. -
A vote for Scythus is a vote for an end to world poverty, hunger, and war.*

Yeah, the incorrect URL could be your problem, but y'know... maybe could just refresh it a few more times and maybe it'll work in a few million years.

I think I know what happened.
Lost tend to wander around a lot after they spawn, sometimes causing two different spawns to walk up right next to each other. -
I doubt it's a hairstyle.

Ooh, sweet. That's awesome. Although I have to say that the male hat/helmet is patently ridiculous.

Quote:I would love some more villain maps, but how would they add to the isles? I mean Recluse can't really make more islands.Quote:Use the unused. Going by various CoV maps, there are several islands in the Rogue Isles that could be added simply by populating them. If they truly are "untouched", they would be perfect for territorial control situations.

More sites should be doing this. However, I'm thinking Wikipedia and Google will really make the protest felt hard.

Intriguing, as every time I've seen it, the team was actually steam rolling the missions, so I can only assume that someone on the SG was asking for the person to join. I have a weird way of forming competent PuGs.

What do you expect? It's a Fox affiliate.

Concerning Silver Age, take some inspiration from the master himself, Jack Kirby.

Hyperbole aside, there's nothing wrong with showing skin. Diabolique's new look doesn't look "skanky" in the least. Less clothes =/= automatically skank. "Skank" is much more so in the attitude rather than the clothes alone. She's not looking flirty or making suggestive poses. In fact she's oozing with matronly authority and ready to smite whoever stands in her way.
Are the bushwomen in Africa "skanks" because they wear less clothes than women in most other areas of the world? No. It's all in the attitude.
That said, it's not like this is some kind of costume set where women get only a metal bikini and men get fullplate. If that happens, then you can complain. No, this is a canon character and the devs are free to make her look any way they want. Frankly I think they chose right with the Maleficent/Evil-Lyn vibe they have going for her. -
Quote:"Zeus?" Boo. Wrong mythology, Sam. That was ODIN.If that really is Diabolique... Why is she wearing a campfire on her head? I mean, I get that godlike beings are supposed to wear goofy hats. Zeus from the Thor movie wore a sarcophagus on his head for most of his screen time, but at least his didn't have a fireplace built into it.
And I like the "fireplace" in the hat. If I was seeking to be Death Incarnate myself, it's the sort of hat I would wear.
Quote:And I quite love Diabolique's new look. The hat is awesome and bustier + loincloth is a pretty classic low fantasy sorceress look (which we desperately need to be able to get on player characters).
If we could get that loincloth piece, I'd seriously use it for a few of her alt costumes.
Heh. Yeah, I was thinking the same. Another reason why I love that hat. -
Looks good. I don't know why Diabolique's new costume has been getting such hate, though. I like it, especially the fiery horn-hat. I myself created a demon summoner a while ago that was going for a similar Evil-Lyn sort of look that Diabolique seems to be sporting now. It'd be cool to have some of those costume pieces, especially the hat.
Those Tyranid/Zerg things also look interesting.
Again, I support the bear for the 3rd tier beast mastery pet. -
Quote:Wait... what? More 20-30 contacts? ARGH!Already when I train up to 20 I get spammed with contact introductions from the likes of Darrin Wade, Henri Dumont, Dean MacArthur and Vincent Ross. The 20-30 level range is duly saturated with mission content.
What we need is more 30-40 stuff, but apparently Issue 22's giving us more 20-30 stuff. -
