Oh boy. The opportunities for salacious jokes are just too much for me to handle.
I must go now. I don't need a ban. -
Until this thread I never thought of monitoring my current HP. That's a great idea.

One thing that I like to do and I'm sure many others do as well is what I call 1 will get you 999,999. Just add a single 1 to the end of any 1,000,000 (or higher) sale price. Often when someone is hungry for an IO that costs, say, 5,000,000 they will make their next bid 6,000,000 instead of a smaller increment. This works best if you are the only one selling. But it will also work at other times.
As well bid 1 more if, for instance, your 5,000,000 bid isn't accepted.
This is obvious to anyone that plays the market for any length of time. You get to know what the traffic will bear. And often you don't get a quick turn-around. This is just like a real market. Patience is a virtue.
Otherwise buy low sell high.
Good luck. -

Quote:Wow. I hadn't heard this. I've been a BFG only buyer for many years. I love their cards and never had a problem with them.
BFG, one of the vendors that would not cut corners on build quality has only recently left the graphics card market. -

Wow. One of my mains blueside just made a cool 100,000,000 on a rare IO from a merit roll. I figured I'd put 10,000,000 in an e-mail in case one of my alts needed a costume part or something. Thought I'd leave it there indefinitely. Bad idea.
Time to log in and check my mail.
Thanks to the OP for an important heads up. -
Ah. Coffee. Let me show you mine.
First, buy only the whole bean. Buy only what you will use in a week. Any longer and the bean will lose it's essence.
Second, use a grinder that has a dial to grind it for your coffee maker. Use a conical burr grinder. Blade grinders do not grind, they chop.
Third, use a coffee maker that heats the water evenly. The best temperature is approximately 190 degrees Fahrenheit give or take 5 degrees.
The best coffee comes from a French press but a good coffee maker is fine as well. If it uses a filter use non-bleached filter cones. White filter cones are bleached that color. Ick. Use the brownish ones.
When I make coffee I always make too much. Then I put the rest in a glass Mason jar for iced coffee. Iced coffee should be cold with no actual ice. Ice melts. It should really be called "really cold coffee".
Good coffee needs neither cream or sugar. If I wanted a glass of sweet milk I would have asked for one.
Espresso should never be served with a twist of lemon. That is a signal. It means that the espresso is bitter and you should cover up the taste with lemon.
Really, how often do you ask for a cup of coffee with lemon? Leave the lemon to the (ugh) tea drinkers.
You're welcome. -
I understand that this thread is about SGRP but I hope nobody minds a bit of my internal RP as a bit of a threadjack.
I have several villain characters. My main is a claws/regen that has soloed to 45. He is a science robot that thought he had killed his creator. It turns out that his creator's body was on the ground in front of him because that's what happened when he transferred his mind to his creation.
As far as "killing" goes. My char kills his enemies. He's using claws. Claws tear people up. He does not allow any of his targets to have a chance to teleport back to any hospital before he turns their brains to mush.
As far as I'm concerned my char is a true killing machine. The concept of anyone returning alive is ridiculous. If they teleport, they teleport and are DOA no chance of recovery.
I understand that this is not the consensus amongst COX players, but it's my game cash, my RP.
Sorry for the derail. -
I thought you might appreciate that SackFedor.

Yeah, I was wondering that too. But after the downtime today it was up way before the status page changed. It may just be an error on the page.

BTW. I'm sure everyone here knows that it's National Doughnut Day, right? Free doughnuts at Krispy Kreme and Dunkin'. Although the Dunkin' Donuts around me ended it at 11:30. KK is all day.

Heh. One of my favorite musicians. I have that on the original vinyl as well as CD and mp3. Actually I have a lot of his albums and I need one of those USB turntables to rip them to CD.
I love that cut. Thanks. -
Hmmmm. Deep Thought got the answer without the question. Since the absence of the question entails a guess, it must have guessed. It then interpolated that the guess was indeed correct. This is the part that took all of that time.
The set of all rational numbers is infinite. To guess a single number from all rational numbers you would have to have all rational numbers in memory and chose one. Otherwise you would be choosing from a subset and the answer would be invalid.
This is prima facie impossible. Therefore the computer cheated.
42 is NOT the answer. -
