Attributes Monitor

How do you open the Combat/Attributes Monitor?

I've been searching paragonwiki & the forums and found several articles/threads on how to load different attributes into the window, but nothing on how to, say...open the window if you accidentally closed it when setting up the UI.

Open your Powers window (P by default, unless you rebound the P key to something else, or Menu -> Powers). At the top of the window, it will say Combat Monitor (or Combat Attributes. I forget which).

That will bring up the interface that will let you select up to 10 items to monitor by right-clicking and selecting Monitor.

Ohh... you beat me to it!!!

Well, its the text on the heading of the Powers Window.
It will open a lot of data, and you can chose the ones to display. I think you can select up to 9 items (someone correct me if it was changed).

My normal setup is:
1) Current HP
2) Current Endurance (or Stamina, brain is fuzzy right now - wine)
3) Endurance Comsumption
4) Endurance Regeneration
5) Influence

The last options I change according to the toon... Common choices are:

a) XP to next level (except on 50´s)
b) Damage Bonus
c) Endurance Bonus
d) Recharge Rate Bonus
e) Flying Speed
f) Running Speed
g) Last To-Hit
h) Defense/Resist values (normally on Tankers/Scrappers/Widow)
i) Threat Level

Yes. I can get lost on a straight-line map.

Not particularly useful to monitor, IMO. It's actually Threat multiplier, not your actual Threat level (since Threat is on a per-critter basis). You have an inherent Threat multiplier, and there is very little that alters your multiplier; Super Speed, Superior Invisibility, Group Invisibility, Invisibility, and Phase Shift are all I can think of, each reducing the multiplier by 1.0.

*points up* It's 10. I still lurvs ya, though.

I have a popmenu I created that lets me set up my Monitor, as well as load my Windows, Options, and Chat based on Hero/Villain Faction, and then load the binds file I pre-created for the character. I always monitor the same 10 items from 1-49:

1) Current Hit Points
2) Current Endurance
3) Regeneration Rate
4) Recovery Rate
5) Endurance Consumption
6) Damage Bonus
7) Recharge Time Bonus
8) Experience To Next Level
9) Inf(luence/famy)
10) Experience Debt

Once I hit 50, I replace Experience To Next Level with ToHit Bonus.

Also: Memphis Bill makes some great guides. I'd recommend anyone interested in the ones he offers to look them over. ;thumbsup

Well, I use this only on toons that rely on "stealth"... specially stalkers, widows and banes. It updates faster than waiting to see the hidden status appear.

Couldn't you monitor your stealth radius instead?

Edit: And hold on, Cloaking Device, Mask Presence, and Hide don't reduce your Threat multiplier, anyway.

Until this thread I never thought of monitoring my current HP. That's a great idea.

I typically only monitor the things that aren't already monitored by the normal UI. On all characters, I monitor Last Hit Chance and Inf. What else I monitor depends on the character. Like Stealth Radius on my characters that use Stealth powers to see when it's suppressed (except for Stalkers. Those I just look for the "Hidden" indicator), and Damage Resistance on my MA/SR Scrapper to see how much scaling resistance I'm getting from the passives.

On any character with an IO that has a buff proc, I'll monitor the attribute it buffs. Like on my main, In addition to the Numina's Convalescence Regen/Recov in Health, I've got a Miracle +Recovery in Dark Regeneration (the rest is Touch of the Nictus) and I monitor Recovery to see when that wears off. I never really understood why some procs get an icon in the buff section of the window when they're active, but others don't.
