Hope this helps.....looks kind of greek-ish to me.
  2. Hey all, I'm hoping someone out there knows a quick fix for my problem....

Last night I upgraded my NVDIA drivers to the new 1.9 whatever version. Prior to that I could run CoX just fine but needed to upgrade the drivers for one of the other two games I play.

After the upgrade CoX would close after picking the server during the login. Not crash, just close. I went into safe mode and reset all of my graphics options and then logged back out/back in.

Thought everything was fine since I could move through PI fine but had graphics set to the bare minimum. Went to see Tina in PI and as soon as I clicked her.....game closed.

I'm not getting any error messages that are popping up, but I'm also not enough of a guru to really know where to look for any that don't pop up and say "Your game crashed due to....." text.

I searched the first 5 or 6 pages in this forum hoping someone had the same problems as me but really haven't seen anything close.

BTW, the other two games ran fine after the upgrade. Nothing else system-wise has changed other than upgrading to the newest NVDIA drivers.

Are there settings I need to have changed in addition to upgrading?
  3. Added with the 12/7/06 patch to I8:

    - Brute PPP powers generate 100% fury in PvP
    - Bug with some missions where you fall into a near-bottomless pit upon entering.
    - Tooltips no longer function
    - Reintroduction of Webpage toggles in Options windows
    - Introduction to non-existent contact (Lenk)
    - Enhancement percentage displays no longer function
  4. Did a level 50 Safeguard mission and came across a possible problem.

One of the side missions started in the sewers, went into a tunnel via a broken wall in the sewers, then into an office room via a hole in the floor. Several of the MoBs in the mission just disappeared when I tried to attack them. I searched high and low but never found them and didn't get to finish that side mission.
  5. Scarpedon

    Two things...

Hmmmmmm. Leaving people with 1% hp after a near one-shot. Guess the PvP debt will go up in Siren's.
  6. Bah, double post......wish I could have found a place for double infamy so easy
  7. Just finished getting the Bling badge on my stalker. It was important to me to get Doc Buzzsaw since I've done all the other arcs except Veluta's.

Final tally was 7 hours of street sweeping in Bloody Bay (Auto-Malefactored) to get Bling even though I was 1/2 of a bar into 29 when I started.

I don't mind having to work on a badge to open contacts, but can we at least pick badges that are somewhere around easy to moderate to obtain in the level range?
  8. What about people that may have taken screenshots to prove they did the TFs? I did this on at least three of them just in case the dev's later couldn't verify I had done them with the datamine. I remembered that when I2 went live some people posted they had been awarded the badges by producing screenshots that proved they had done the TF.....
  9. I understand where you are coming from, but think about this:

As a blaster, one single +2 minion=death if end is low.

Yes, one or two get away from your provoke and since a blaster (excepting /Dev) has zero defense they can be dead.

My experience in a group has been that once you see me hit yellow, I am dead before you can engage follow. Keep in mind that my only "defense" is to kill everything before it gets to me. Being one-swatted by a purple tank-killer does not allow for time for heals, etc.

AOEs are as essential to a blaster as Taunt or Provoke is to a Tank. Otherwise, the offensive juggernaut of the team is little more than a gimped defender when it comes to damage output. If you want to, remember what you told the last blaster that used torrent after you aggro'd the group. The last time I did it, the griping went on for the next two mobs of MoBs. Now think of what an AOE would do.........
