Dammit, I wish I'd read this before I'd made ours... We now have a VERY expensive decorative item sat on the ceiling of our power room, and one that I am loathed to delete as the salvage to make it was painful to accrue.... *sigh*
I have petitioned it though, I shall let you know the outcome of it. I must agree, it does seem a bit of an oversight - by the time you are in a position to need the energy curtain, you will almost certainly have the turbine generator, and yet the curtain doesn't attach to it.... Hmm....

Yeesh, that had me worried - exactly what I was saving up for and exactly the generator we have....
Hopefully, if my PvP zone 'salvage farming' goes well tonight, I can let you know tomorrow if all this is true.

I shall be on as the Shocketeer in Warburg for a bit...

Further to this post, I spent an hour or so trawling around the net, and found out that this salvage is dropped at the end of PvP zone, non-patrol missions.
Good news, and I shall go to Sirens or Bloody Bay later to test this theory...

Heh - I thought it was quite fun when a HUGE amount of villains showed up and we had a, what, 20 v 20 'grand melee' Only disappointed that my food was ready in the midst of it all.
That was PvPing at its best - not this 'one lone stalker repeatedly kills you' guff.

Makes me want to organise a PvP event... And might do so if the lag wasn't abysmal.

This is the point isn't it. There is an IMBALANCE issue here. The fact that Villains need PvP badges to gain certain accolaids is FORCING those players into the PvP zones, while their heroic counterparts need never go near them.
Either make both hero and villain accolaid requirements come from PvP zones, or make none of them come from them. Its hardly fair on the villains (though they are evil, perhaps they'r being punished...)

I need to find a few bits of Abberant tech to make an energy curtain (we currently have 6), and I have NO IDEA what enemy type I need to go up against to get some.
Anyone got any ideas? Most Salvage lists I've seen on line hasn't mentioned it....

And yes, you do remember Toxus correctly, we went through a period of teaming quite regularly with the Caps grind to 50 (Toxus' was MUCH slower) . I'm still in contact with Boggie and Slash too.

I hear your worries, I had the similar issue with my main getting the RV AV badges. I was missing one after multiple attempts, and there were 2 teams in RV trying to get them, while couple villains came and tried to prevent us. I can tell you I was cursing and swearing - in RL. On broadcast you can't do much more than ask them not to.
I ended up getting my PvP blaster and attempted to reduce every player villain coming out of the gates into a little greasy spot. Note, this is the PvP solution. Taking the issue verbally to the villains and demanding them to stop isn't, and I didnt do so. Ultimately everybody got the badges, and fighting for them is what I'd like to see happen anyway. It increases the badges value

(note to self: ask the hardcore PVP players to bodyguard you when you go after the AV badges. THeyll surely jump on the opportunity to beat the harassing players, just make sure the hardcore guys are on your side )

Thats all well and good, but as I said before, it was an 'off-peak' time, and there was no-one else around.
As for getting someone better suited to PvPing, I would love to. Sadly, Toxus is my only lv 50, and I have no other characters capable of even entering RV yet, so not a workable solution for me.

Actually no we hadn't. We'd already killed Ghost Widow and Scirocco earlier, and was fighting Mako when the timer hit zero and reset, hence our need to make him appear again and try AGAIN to 'arrest' him.

As stated earlier, this is going to be, sorry is, one of those agree to disagree things. You all have your PoV, I have mine. I can live with that.

This can't be right. So its NOT against the rules to do it in a PvP zone though - alls fair in love and war and all that? I seriously doubt it. Debt is debt afterall, if its against the terms and conditions in one zone, it'll be EVERY zone. Though if it IS against them, that's news to me (though I wouldn't do it anyway - hardly a nice thing to do eh? Besides, I rather have a Hami-O than be responsible for a raid wipe...)

This is basiclly exactly what I'm saying (well put). Yes, they are under no obligations, and yes, I guess we were expecting them to abide by a mythical 'gentlemans rule'. No demands were made, no new rules put into place, merely a request for them to delay their slaughter of us until we'd done in Mako.

I guess gentleman are becoming rarer and rarer these days....

Again, I'll reiterate, yes, there is nothing wrong with it, per se, and yes, it is part of the zone. But I do believe its a matter of respect, and deliberately ruining someones chances of getting a badge is simply not a nice thing to do...

Take the reasonably recent Hami raid, for example. The one where the GM turned up and turned what was to be a successful raid into a raid wipe... What if that was me that deliberately pulled that GM into the jelly to disrupt the raid, and what if I said I would do it every time there was a raid? Clearly I would NOT be popular (neither was this Stalker I hasten to add), but as far as I can tell, I'm not breaking any rules, merely ruining other peoples enjoyment...

Not asking them not to, merely asking them to delay their PvPing until the AV was defeated. As I said, we ALL said we would happily PvP with them once the AV had been dealt with.

As I said previously, I only partially agree with the OP - yes, when in a PvP zone you should expect to get attacked by other players. Fine, I'm down with that and will happily 'get my hands dirty' and join in. But when asked by someone to not kill them for a few minutes while they do something that takes a considerable amount of time and effort to orchestrate, it seems to be completely DISRESPECTFUL to say 'No, you're in a PvP zone, I will kill you ' over and over again....

Already did. And I still disagree with you. If someone was to ask me not to attack them for 5 minutes while they killed an AV (and therefore got a badge), why would I NOT oblige?

Yeesh, got fed up reading this thread, but from what I did read, I have to say I partially agree with the original poster.
She was asking for a little respect from other players in the zone, is that really too much to ask?

A few days back (at an off peak time of the day I hasten to add), myself and a team of about 5 others, were attempting to get the AV badges within RV - there was even a lone villain going around taking out, but not converting, the pill boxes to assist in this matter.
We had achieved all but Mako, and then we were suddenly, and repeatedly, attacked by a stalker. We explained over broadcast that we were trying to collect AV badges, and that he can PvP us all he wants once we have this last badge, but to no avail. He repeatedly, and insantly attacked us from cover, again and again and again, over and over. Again we pleaded with him that we have merely one AV left to kill, he's STOOD in front of us right now, and it will take a mere 5-10 minutes - BANG, another assassin strikes takes one of us out... After about 10 minutes of this (as it was impossible to take on the AV when half our number was constantly coming back from the hospital) the group split up and we left the zone.

Now I ask you, is this REALLY myself and my team that was in the wrong here, is it possibly, JUST MAYBE, that the person in charge of the stalker was the one showing no respect to others?

We too have a load of Arcane Salvage (refined and non-refined) for trade, just taking up space. Would GLADY get rid of it. Send me a tell if interested.
