  1. A nice alternative would be:
15 (or whatever) minutes from when you activate it

Also, I want a Rularuu Watcher, that I can ride around like a big 'ole flying beachball.

And some of us are literate enough that we can read very fast and type very fast. Just because you might have trouble w/ teh internet and th3 readig, d rest of us r not as misfortunate.

  7. I wouldn't mind if they just dropped all the names and just changed them all to:
    Damage Enhancement
    Edurance Mod Enhancement
    etc

Most of my characters are tech, so I have most of those memorized. But I have a few magic and sci and it sucks having to read the desc. for each damn enhancement trying to find the debuff defense or whatever.

And don't get me started on DO's! The names for those are even worse!

  9. Villain Group:
    Shadows of Victory

    Key Members:
    Satanic Hamster
    Kong G. Fuu
    Bonebaby
    Celtic
    NerdCompany

    Desc:
This is, in effect, the sister group of the Fist of Justice. However, there's no membership requirements between the two groups.

Key focus is on team / community players. Most of the group are regular forum posts/readers, and the vast majority are active in the Global Chat Channel - Victory Forum.

Mainly pve, but also into casual pvp.

    Full up base.

    SG does a rolling membership:
Anyone after for 20+ days can be subjected to kicking in order to invite new people. Kicks are only done as needed, not as a blanket policy at a set no. of days. Anyone kicked is in-game emailed and more then welcome to rejoin if they start playing that character again.

Over all, we're active/hardcore but casual.

Currently could like to get a half dozen new members/active characters in.

  10. Game: City of Heroes
    Group: The Fist of Justice

Formed back in the day, after our previous group, the Shield of Valor, disintergrated due to [censored]. Some went solo, some went to other groups, most rolled into FoJ.

Was always a casual sg. Tight membership, never into blind recruiting or going for members just to have members.

    UNTIL NOW!

Superbases, sadly, need a good membership base. Combined with everyone playing CoV, that makes it even harder to get a lot of prestige for a base in CoH.

    SG Rules:
Team. With anyone! SG is big on large teams.
Join the global channel Victory Forum. Good place for teaming, game discussion.
Please keep coalition chat to a minimum. Coalitions were setup with the understanding that they'd be mainly has a teamup channel, rare monster spotting, etc. Not as a general chat line.
Don't do anything that would be considered an [censored] move by the General Public or by the Hamster.
Two to three characters per person. However, alts can be kicked for more active players/alts. Majority of the sg is given basic invite ability, in order to help sg makes switch out/in alts they're playing for the evening.

If you're interested in joining up, please free free to drop me a line. Membership is also open to any Shadows of Victory players.

Currently in the top 30 groups on Victory, looking at becoming more active. Base is fully pve functional (all telepads, medical base), will make it pvp functional eventually (this week).

If you're interested in an active but casual sg, please drop me a line here or in game.

Can take a person or three currently.

We've seen a lot of the people who work for Cryptic and NCSoft that we interact with leave for other projects.

We do wish them the best, and hope their next "Home" is as friendly as we all were.

    that said.

Who the hell is still here to mind the store.

I know I've lost track of who's actually here and doing what.

Can we get an updated list of who's doing what.

We all know what Cuppa does, Statesman we know to, Castle seems to be doing anything he can get his hands on(He DOES sleep right? we know Cuppa doesn't).

so can we get a list of people telling us who's doing what?

I'm starting to loose touch on who's actually developeing this game.

    I see

    Statesman
    Cuppa
    Castle
    Posi
    Nomad
Gil(no longer here, but HI GIL)
    Awry
    Alexa(Leaving)
    Arctic(Leaving)
Squeeze(who only had 19 Posts. HI)
    Manticore
    Visgoth
    Raven
    WarWitch
    The_Zig
    pohsyb
    Valdermic

that's 18 people who have posted recently enough to be on the dev post thread. 2 of which are leaving, 1 has already left.

Several we see vary rarely, I mean they have less then 100 posts. I mean Hell, I have more posts then all of them but Cuppa.

So can someone fill in who does what? Are there new people comeing in to fill spots, or people internally promoted.

It'd be nice to have a sticky with the listing of who does what so we can send messages to the right person, instead of everyone sending them to Cuppa and hopeing she passes them on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No offense to most of the people who left...

But keep in mind, most of the people left aren't exactly critical members of the game. And there's Cryptic people who aren't active on the forums (at least as red names).

What on earth do people want? A little bubble where nothing can hurt you in any way, shape or form, and you roll over your enemies like a trapped hamster of death?

  13. And make the entire Shard a co-op zone.

Not like anyone uses it now.

Don't make the Shard a secret! Jesus.

I am putting the requirements for Contacts - and their location - in the Prima Guide...

but here was our intent with these Contacts - reward Exploration. Reward people who poke around to find new things. Now, the down side is that once found, these Contacts don't inform the player about what it takes to unlock them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    A few problems:
    * Players find the contacts and just assume they're another contact that will be given to them later. Not a lot of players, if any, will come back and check.
    * A number of them will never (and I mean NEVER) be unlocked accidently. In particular, the ghost buster lady and Doc Buzzsaw. It's very bloody unlikely any player will unlock those without using out of character knowledge.
  16. Villains can suck it.

But at least you have a contact that sends you to one of them (assuming you're making a character from ground up).

  18. I've never liked how CoX has made somethings "secret." Things you HAVE to use out of character knowledge to know about.

    * Level 30+ stores (pre-I6)
    * Task force/strike force/trial contacts
    * The entire freaking Shadow Shard
    * AND the four task forces in it.

The annoyance is that a few of the CoV secret contracts are a pain to get. Even if you KNOW about it and want to do it. In particular, the Ghost Buster lady and that stupid jerk Doc. Buzzsaw.

Hmm... Maybe run the 1st Strike Force exemped again to work on the Bling badge.

Clearly the solution is to have it in Secaucus.

-5 bazillion hotels so everyone and their mom can stay closeby.
-hotels = conference rooms for cons.
-located within walking distance of me.
    -close to NY.
    -in NJ.
-less of a hellhole than NYC (not like thats saying much).
    -doesn't smell too bad.
    -near 3 airports.
-Secaucus + CoX jokes write themselves.

    Hmmm... How about New Brunswick?

Maybe Phili. While Phili is a bit of a hellhole in itself, it's a bit easier to drive in/to hellhole over NYC.

    Just saying.

But knowing my luck, the closest place they'd have one is in NYC. And NYC is a hellhole.
